This is what the DJI Avata is for, beautiful cinematic shots. Everyone slating it because it’s so expensive and can’t so full acro well. Expensive because it is worth it. Brake the cost down I think it is good value for money. Probably doesn’t handle as well as a 5” own build quad because it wasn’t designed to fly that way. People which moan can’t afford it. Great video.
The slight disappointment when he doesnt go through that tent on top of the mountain and the orgiastic joy when at the second time he nailed that gap 😅 Awesome footage!

@@dietwedge I'm very aware this isn't up to the standard of what you may get from a more professional or well put together FPV drone, I'm just saying it still takes skill to get these kinds of shots with any FPV drone and that I think this will be a great product to do so...

Love it. I noticed this video is at 30fps so I imagine you shoot in 4k60 on the Avata. Have you tried a 24fps video? Looks pretty neat when doing 30fps footage slowed to 80% for 24fps, but I imagine you could get similar slowing 60fps 80% (48fps) and get similar results? For drone footage I imagine shooting in 30fps wouldn't be great given the movement speed. Curious what your thoughts are regarding this (24, 30, 60, etc). If you have other video sources for your video (handheld, etc), do you change your approach?
Nice video. Could you speak on the advantages of the Avata over, say, Mini 3 Pro? I have a DJI FPV and a few other drones now. I'm thinking about the Avata because I like flying around in my house with a tiny whoop. I'm hooked on the DJI fpv system so everything from this point forward will be analog. So, I'm torn between upgrading from Air 2 to Air 2s or getting a Mini 3 Pro or Avata. For me, the Avata will be better for really tight spaces with less opportunity to crash. I mean, you brush up against anything with an open prop design you can easily go down--sometimes where recovery is difficult. I'll probably wait until (if) the new goggles are compatible with other air units. I'm hoping because prescription lenses are expensive.
Bro is this worth it or just get another squirt my gear all got stolen out my van the night of my bday back in March so I've been saving for new gear and doing ground filming in the meantime

I'm a Pro MMA fighter and I just jumped into videography/video editing hardcore about two months ago. I was inspired to do it while visiting Iceland, I bought a Mini 3 Pro there and started getting footage of beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, and the glaciers; was very ammy footage of course haha, jerky and what off centered, but fell in love with the creation of it all. Long story short man I got back from Iceland, built a computer in August for editing and I've been practicing my flying skills nearly daily. I'm trying to get better at and learn from awesome creators like yourself. I just ordered the Avata a few days ago. I live out here in Ewa. I'd love to pick your brain about this stuff if you ever have time brotha! LMK and keep killing it, you're a huge inspiration for me fam.
Hey Mcgee! I watched all ur videos on the new avata. Im a first timer in the FPV-World and went with the Avata. Did hours of training in the flight sim, and just recently started flying for real. I struggle with the pitch. It seems as when i push forward on the pitch i "blocks" and wont dive towards the ground like it does in the flight sim. Ive tried to narrow it down to the problem being in my RC Rates/settings. Can you shed some light for me on what i should do? Really keen to get into diving. Thanks in advance!

if you've been wanting to do more confident manoeuvres in smaller spots, buildings, parks, or proximity then this is the drone for you. I use my DJI FPV for big swooping motions over beautiful, large landscapes, hitting big gaps in rocks, etc.

You need to put about 30 hours into a simulator but after that you pick it up pretty quickly

The highlights look blown out. But otherwise the footage is beautiful! Mainly because of where he is :-)
It seems to be really mushy and bad quality in every aspect. Hero10 videos seemed way better in quality.
Can always use an ND filter

It's solid. Dynamic range isn't quite as good or low light, but you just have to decide if adding more gopro weight is worth it
