- B.J. Blazkowicz is back to stop those dastardly Nazis! A thorough playthrough of Raven's 2009 reboot of the Wolfenstein franchise. This sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein is full of crazy Nazi death rays, powered armour, inter-dimensional portals and mutant creatures. All collectibles and upgrades.
I watched this out of curiosity for this game, I enjoyed myself. I however, loved your ending with the music. I believe I will be staying around.
I just tried finding this game on pc the other day and dug very deep with no luck of finding a way to play it. While looking I remembered this lets play from when I was younger and this lets play was the reason I care about the game in the first place. I decided that since I couldn't play through the game myself I'd just give this series a watch again. Thank you for making this lets play as entertaining as it is :)

What a good time it was 🙂
Liked the footage at the end with the guys flying through the air and being shot while The Blue Danube plays in the background. You just got another subscriber.
Random laudatory note: this was one of my favorite Let's Plays of all time. If you're taking votes for your next Let's Play I'd be keen to see a run through of Return to Castle Wolfenstein with the Gothicstein (or whatever mods you think are best.)
And subscribing, if only as appreciation for the 'classical music while killing floating Nazis' bit at the end.
Ha, thank you!
Always happy to encourage some 'classical evil'. Villains these days are so....crude. Sure those like The Joker have a certain amount of eccentric class to them, but you don't get the sophisticated tyranny of say.... Lord Havelock Vetinari of the Discworld in your villains of today.
Also a classic 2001 reference.
Thanks for the video. Wanted to watch some of the previous Wolfenstein games to get ready for the new one.
I've been looking for a good LP of this game for a while now and thankfully yours came around, I have to say it's the best one I've seen, thank you for taking it seriously, you are doing a great job.
That's right, this is the proper sequel to RTCW. In fact during development some websites and magazines were actually calling it RTCW2. Later on in the game there are a number of things that are direct references to the previous game.
oh yeah another thing I forgot to mention, if you like Wolfenstein people...they are doing a sequel to this game on Xbox One
I miss this guy so much
Yep, that was a highly enjoyable review... though I didn't actually agree with it. Wolfenstein is a solid WW2 shooter AND a solid sci-fi/supernatural game at the same time, and unlike the previous games it fully embraces the sci-fi/supernatural stuff right from the start rather than little bits sprinkled here and there. It has excellent weapons, a nice variety of enemies and some great boss fights. In particular the ending is very satisfying, unlike many other games that have an anticlimax boss.
bout to watch this entire series letsgo 2020
Memories sweet memories
I think I immediately figured it was some made-up sci-fi element with bizarre properties. Which is pretty much what it actually is, it's some energy from another dimension condensed into matter.
The irony of your travel arrangements around Germany being a rail car...
I'm glad to see that someone understands the difference between a German soldier and a Nazi, I also see you fancy a Kar98, nice
I'd laugh if ina game blooper to nazis turned to each other and then to the cam and said "Why are we speaking english" in a heavily german accent
lol fair point
I had bookmarked the thread on SA but didn't comment. great LP overall. watched through the whole thing. decided to install the game. was too easy without the mod on uber so I decided to try out the mod. so far so good.👍
Bahaha I like this guy! Subscribing definitely!
I laughed at 15:25 when he shoots the dead guy and he falls over.lmao
as much the original wolfenstein is fun in that classic retro FPS way...this one really does have a much more in depth story
I wasn't aware of any hardware issues, but I do know of a memory error bug that was caused by smashing too many destructible objects. Would tend to hit players a couple of levels before the end of the game, and would mean you'd have to replay from an earlier save and then play the game carefully and try not to blow up anything except enemies! It was eventually fixed in a patch.
I've still never found all the items in this game....SO annoying...I particularly care about the intel and tombs...I can live if I miss the odd piece of gold but I really want to find all the intel and tombs
...I think I'm going to enjoy watching this LP.
will you be doing a LP of Return to Castle Wolfenstein? if the graphics are a issue there's a HD remake mod that polishes the textures an sound
I have been considering it actually! I imagine you are talking about the Castle Gothicstein mod... yes that has gotten me excited at the thought of doing RTCW.
not the mod I meant but that sounds cool too an you can get the first two original Wolfenstein games off AbandonWare for free but you need DOS to run them though an I have a idea to remake the first so it won't need DOS an add little references to the series like a tribute to the series but it'll play basically the same but with better graphics an sound
Dossie Bigham Ah well Return to Castle Wolfenstein is still an excellent game (and is even better if enhanced with Castle Gothicstein mod). Also I already own Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny, versions on Steam that use DOXBOX (so they run OK on Windows). I probably wouldn't want to do LPs of them though, after you have played a few levels you have pretty much seen everything the game has to offer.
yeah an I wish they'd re release RtcW an the only thing I want changed is the flamethrower to burn enemies faster an to improve the AI cuz I get spotted from some BS during Stealth missions and Please fix the sliced luger an the over heat on the sten
You need to find Wolf.cfg and edit it with a text editor like notepad or wordpad. The exact location will vary depending on where you installed the game and your username and which version of Windows you have.
In XP it is something like:
C:\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\id Software\WolfSP\base
while in Vista it is something like:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\id Software\WolfSP\base
Edit it and find this line: seta g_unlockedFlameDLC "0"
Change the 0 to a 1.
One thing to note, if you're looking to buy this for the PC, it is picky about your hardware. I cannot remember the exact issue, but it had a bug where certain machines would trigger a memory error that could not be resolved.
If playing Half Life 2 has taught me one thing, it's that it's NEVER a good idea to run towards a squad of soldiers while carrying an explosive barrel.
The game? Well, you can buy a boxed version of Wolfenstein for PC, Xbox 360 or PS3 from most places that sell videogames, like amazon. Came out back in 2009 so it can be a little hard to find now, but it's there. Of course there is ebay as well. It used to be on Steam, but it isn't anymore, I think they ran out of license keys or something.
Got it , thanks mate ! ^_^
Great let's play , keep up the good work ! :3
B.J sounds like Shepard on Mass Effect 1 2 and 3
+EchoNinja6 Paladin Danse
The main character Blazkowicz is a spy, he can understand German. All the Nazis are supposed to be speaking in German, but we get to hear it in English.
Can you tell me the history behind that artifact?
this is part 2 of 'return to castle Wolfenstein' right ?
4:35 So that's what was in the Ark of the Covenant!

If the Germans were going to use those missiles on London...It would hardly do a thing. Bomb a house, yeah. But destroy a city...It hardly made a dent on the boat. Great LP btw.
I think I prefer the bolt-action Kar98 rifle, though I enjoy the submachine gun too.
if only they had this on steam
tutorial how to enable flame thrower dlc plz ? i subscribed :)
LOL love the pilot XD
Cut him a little slack he chose to play it on the HARDEST difficulty
That sounds like Tank Dempsey's voice...
This makes me really scared. I didn't know they made games about killing Nazi's...
I'm related to a Nazi...
*Hides in corner*
With Bayonet you use little to no ammo!.....Or I do.
thanks
where do you get it?
wait if that was german boat in the first scene shouldn't they be talking in german?
Drizzt Do'Urden 5:53
wait did you pay Wofenstien 3D? it gives you a extra $1000 for it
and btw twin...you sneaky f***er, editing games to get a reward hehe
Yeah, and in Half-Life 2 Gordon Freeman can carry barrels & other things with no hands
Flame-Throwers were invented in WWI.
5:19 29:07 Captain America Voice
Anything special about these two moments in time?
Why the single player wont run???? I already installed the patch and crack but still not working. Help!!!!
Really? COOL!!!
i miss my pistols :(
4:35
Ahhh! 8:14
Would you consider yourself a rifle man or a submachine gun man?
i love this game but don't realy like wolfenstein the new order
Sodriko Kanalas I enjoyed it but my big problem with The New Order was that it lacked free roaming, which was one of the thing's I really liked about Wolfenstein 2009.
i didn't like new order cuz it didn't fell as a proper wolfenstein game.Laked a cool story, wolfenstein 2009 has a simple but an intresting and imersing story, but new order just had to much, but so little
Sodriko Kanalas I still thoroughly enjoyed Wolfenstein: The New Order, I felt that they put a lot of heart into the game, considering all of the details put into the little things. In my honest opinion the story sold it for me and I am also very happy with with the games memorabilia, however opinions are just opinions and I realize that not everyone fully enjoyed the game.
Mackenzie Bauroth
They reserved that for Wolfenstein: The Old Blood which is more of a throwback to Return To Castle Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein 2009.
Cca international ; )
