Danke für das TH-cam Tutorial 👍da ich leider kein Englisch kann 😢wird mir aber hiermit die Möglichkeit gegeben das wunderschöne Tuch vielleicht doch noch zu stricken. ❤
This and your jigsaw blanket are perfectly for mysteryboxes with left over yarn. All the yarn you have in box and then without looking pick up one by one and be surprised.
These videos are so fantastic. As a beginner it’s so nice to have beautiful and exciting projects so accessible to empower us to stretch and grow. I know the videos are a lot of effort to make. Please know it is truely appreciated. Thank you so much! 🙏🏻
OK, love how you take a “simple” concept and kick it up to the next level AND still keep it super accessible. I’ll be diving into my stash shortly. Of course, the yarns not selected are gonna be mad jealous. I’ll just remind them that there are 9 more patterns coming and if they are good little skeins, they might be in the next one 😂🎉❤.
"But I can only knit so many shawls." You hit the nail on the head!!! There's just not enough time to make everything I'd like to, and I'm always getting seduced by new patterns (hint hint). 😉 But that's okay because I've discovered it's the _process_ I enjoy so much. It's the feel of the yarn and needles, and the repetitive motion of my hands that is food for my soul. So if I cannibalize a project, I even enjoy frogging and rewinding the yarn, and dealing with the awful knotty messes I sometimes - uh, often - create. In the end, it's all a wonderful adventure and it makes me happy. I hope it's that way for everyone.
I’ve decided this has to be my first Stephen West project- I love the way it looks and I think I can get through the instructions well enough. Yay, now to go through my yarn!
Stephen, THANK YOU for this! I absolutely love everything you do and your voice is so calm and reassuring, you give me courage to actually make these beautiful projects - THANK YOU!
So many people are talking about Stephen West shawls I had to see what it was all about - it’s FANTASTIC, I can’t wait to start this Fragmentation Shawl. Thankyou so much for the tutorial. ❤
Huge thank you. Ive loved your shawls from afar. Thinking oh those are going to be so difficult I cant do it. This tutorial was excellent you make it so clear. Thank you so much. Am so excited now to knit my shawl
Hello Stephen, from London, England. You amaze me. I think you and your talent are fantastic. Your tutorials are so easy to follow and just amazing. Thank you 💞💞💞
So excited about this one! I haven’t had the bandwidth for challenging projects lately, so a nice smooshy garter stitch fits the bill nicely! The modular techniques are brilliant, and I super appreciate you showing them here because the second I watched this any confusion I had was gone!! My husband is the most knitworthy person I’ve ever met, and so the first one will be his wrap because his basement office gets chilly!
This is absolutely FANTASTIC! and I've only gotten to 19.09 in the video. Thank you so much for doing the video to explain these techniques, I'd never get it by myself. And thanks for the colouring sheet. I'm sooooo going to enjoy this shawl and the rest in the collection. E-book bought (as soon as it was released). You always cheer me up and make me believe that I can do this, so thank you for that, too.😀
I had to check out your channel ..first time here. Love your content. Other you tubers have recommended you. Anxious to try one of your patterns, once I decide on colors . ❤
I recently bought one of your e-books on ravelry and only started one shawl, so I don't really need another project. So of course I have to buy more yarn and make this amazing shawl. I hope your creativity never ends because your designs and your videos are amazing!
Always something new!! I hope your creativity never runs out.. As a pretty experienced knitter, I adore your tutorials, always calm and precise. 🥰 I'm wondering what this would look like in scrappy or variegated colors. 🤔
I’ve decided this has to be my first Stephen West project! Thank you for the incredible tutorial, you are very generous with your knowledge and time.😊 Edyta
I’m probably going to use the kit I bought for the Shawl Smorgasbord, conveniently, there are 7 skeins 😊 The Fragmentation Shawl will be a great breather project, since I’m currently knitting a large Shetland lace KAL😅
When I first saw the shawl, I didn’t think I would ever make it. It just didn’t speak to me. But now I am wondering if I shouldn’t add it to the list after all. In different colours.
Mr. West, I've got a lot of medium weight yarn, how would I adapt this pattern for its use. Thank you for being so creative, because of you I've been deep diving into my stash and getting daring with my color choices. I guess I have to assemble my next project. God bless!
Hi! Did you consider knitting all wedges together simultaneously, from wedge 7 to 1, that way there is only two yarn ends for each colour, and no need to break yarn after each block, but you leave yarn and continue to knit this color in next wedge (like step up)?
What size of needle is Stephen using - he mentioned he was using fingering weight yarn. It looks just a shade looser than you would get with an English size 11 / 3 mm needle.
Hey, Stephen…Just curious, why did you switch from a backwards loop increase to a M1L increase in subsequent wedges? Knowing you, there must be a reason. Aesthetics? Other?
Sorry, this pattern is only available in English. Here are the patterns that are available in French: www.ravelry.com/patterns/search#craft=knitting&language=fr&query=stephen%20west&sort=best&view=captioned_thumbs
I'd love to do this but it's 30 euros for the pattern Don't have that kind of money. $43.32 Canadian funds. I appreciate your work, designs and effort but I'll have to pass I'm afraid.
Seriously, how do you continue to create the most amazing techniques?!? You are the most brilliant knitter!
Thank you so much!
Hallo, obwohl ich kein Englisch spreche habe ich sehr gut deine Erklärungen verstanden. Ich hoffe du erzählst mehr von deinen Arbeiten . ❤
Stephen is the love in knitting . He practically gifts you the pattern with his TH-cam free tutorial ❤️
Correct, but still, if I decide to knit it, I will buy the pattern

I love this design! I have to know will there be a blanket????? Because I see a beautiful scrappy version.

I'm going to try this. My guess is that it might get tricky to have crisp corners?
What size of needle is Stephen using - he mentioned he was using fingering weight yarn. It looks just a shade looser than you would get with an English size 11 / 3 mm needle.
So amazing
Hey, Stephen…Just curious, why did you switch from a backwards loop increase to a M1L increase in subsequent wedges? Knowing you, there must be a reason. Aesthetics? Other?
I wonder how it will look if I YO for my M1.
Love this Combo Mmm Yes 💕
Just bought the pattern. What is fingering weight yarn in the UK? Some say 2ply others 4ply. I'm confused🤔🤔
4 ply. (Although then you might see something like: "2 ply Jumper Weight - knit as 4ply/fingering weight").
Wonderful! Is the pattern available in French?
Sorry, this pattern is only available in English. Here are the patterns that are available in French: www.ravelry.com/patterns/search#craft=knitting&language=fr&query=stephen%20west&sort=best&view=captioned_thumbs

Please stop, can only have so many wips. Lol. Love ya.
The formula for how many WIPs you can have is n+1, where n is the number of WIPs you currently have. There’s always room for one more. 😂
