I’ve often wondered what the Scandinavian’s speak amongst each other. English would be the most sensible. My ignorance of Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Finnish is a fact, are the languages similar in any way? I’d be interested to know.
@@juliehock6059 well Danish, Swedish and Norwegian are VERY similar. I myself am from Denmark and I understand almost 90% of all Norwegian, Swedish is a bit harder for me personally. But I do know that they speak their own language because they all understand each other, Queen Margrethe does speak Swedish fluently because her mother was Swedish

There is a warmth and natural tactile affection shown in this royal family that you just don't see with the Brits. Margrethe was physically and publicly affectionate and playful with her kids and still managed to be taken seriously as monarch. Elizabeth was a fine person/queen noted for her stoic dedication to her "duty" but part of her "duty" was to parent the next monarch to be an emotionally healthy human being. I respect her but sadly think she failed as a parent.
