Keeping the forks level all the time is only stressful in the beginning. After that it's just natural. Only time it's hard for me is when I cant see my forks at all cause the freight I'm grabbing that's on decks is a certain height where my mast is covering it.
Literally all of the tipovers were caused by sharp turns with the mast raised. If you tip it with the mast raised honestly you deserve it. That's like, the basic rule of driving a lift; Dont drive with forks raised.
SAS is a bandaid to cover up a lighter chassis weight. Each generation of the Toyota forklift series, Toyota has removed structural steel and provided a lightweight design that will tip, that's why they had to come up with a reactive system in the first place. Why not have a proactive design with a heavier chassis and intrinsic stability?
To Brad Jenkins, you dont know what ur talking about, 1st do you know wat is SAS? does the SAS can change CoG (center of Gravity)? Dont comment if u dont know anything about heavy equipments.
Saya dari Indonesia Sopir forklift di perusahaan swasta.. Forkliftku selalu jalan mundur..pembakaran dari knalpot selalu kehirup padahal sudah pake masker..mohon solusinya..nafasku sering sesak..thanks

Brad Jenkins: "SAS is sales gimmick. You can not change a forklifts center of gravity without changing speed and the load hight..." Sure you can.How about turning on a slope, or dropping off uneven pavement, for example?
