I agree Mr Red. I just got my licence and my mentor warned me not to drag the forks because it would put unnecessary pressure on the hydraulics and chain, getting them out of alignment.
Best part is that no one hasn't shown how to do a 180 degree handbrake turn with a forklift. That was fun to do when I drove them. :D Also doing precise 90 degree handbrake turns was fun too.

Bounced me up sideways on two wheels for probably a second or two before landing back on all four. Scared the shit outta me, but it probably woulda looked pretty cool on camera.
Especially the one where he hits the 4x4. And all those dumb coin flips with the forks put a lot of unnecessary stress on the shafts and pistons. Hope they had the decency to greased the lifts before the fucked with them. 😆
I have done the coin trick it is fun and safe. The box manipulation is impressive, and placing the coin on the bottle is really neat. I however do not condone the stunting, it is very dangerous and can go south fast with your life.

I know I’m year late on this comment, but that guy doing donuts at the end was being an absolute jackass. And I don’t even drive a forklift. You trip, you slip, you get hit, and now you’re run over with a multi ton machine. Bad idea. Whatever gets run over will be flattened by the shear weight of the counter weights in a forklift.
Judging by the sound he makes when he gets back on it, the seat has a switch that puts the gear into neutral. The reachtruck I operate has a dead-man switch, but it sure won't stop it when I jump of it (fortunately!).

As a forklift driver for over Thirty Years I would like to say first...The Coin Trick is not that Hard and is overdone all over the net. Second....I like the Cigarette lighter trick...now that one was original and Pretty impressive. Third....The rest of the Video isn't so much tricks as just asinine unsafe stunts that I would not recommend. Forklifts are dangerous Vehicles. They weigh more than the average pickup truck and are unstable when used in unsafe ways. I have seen people seriously injured and killed by unsafe acts with forklifts. These individuals should not ever be allowed to drive a forklift again and I hope that their employer saw these Videos and immediately Fired them

4 Hours? I drive a fork here in Australia and can load a B double semi, that is a truck pulling 2 trailers...the lead or 'A' trailer holding 12-14 pallets and the rear or 'B' trailer holding 22-24 pallets in around 30 mins, depending on how fast the driver is strapping his load down as I go. and if I'm loading a truck the has load restraint curtains and they dont need to strap and and I get a good rhythm going I can do it in around 25-30 mins.
@@catey62 not all loads are the same. Some trucks are floor loaded at 20,000 pieces. That can take a long time sometime. Also the fact of the matter is sometimes the wait is so long because I got 5 trucks in a door, 3 waiting In the yard and only 1-2 guys to load them.
I would love to see you explain the two yellow forklifts manoeuvre if health and safety walked round the corner lol. Respect though, I do love an inventive manoeuvre to overcome problems, I’ve had a few bum squeakers myself in the past, very satisfying when they work out though 👏👏👏

There was a "cut" just before he lighted the cigarette so i think it has been manipulated. The guy who jumped off the forklift ist simply stupid. He found out that you can't fit an 8FBCU30 through a 3 foot space between a Promaster van and a steel roof support pole. Didn't do my van any good.

And the phone does not have a gigantic ass battery that you're sitting on constantly that will blow up instantly from the slightest hint of flame. I’ve done the coin trick onto the water bottle using a crown rc. Doing it on the propane is actually much easier to do because you are able to bounce the forks to move the coin. Not to mention a sit down lift has more tilt than a standup.
The coin flip trick is a great one because it's super easy for anyone that has even minimal forklift driving skills, but it looks really impressive. I tried it when I first saw this trick, and was able to flip two dimes at once onto each forklift blade with only a few tries. And it's not because I am exceedingly talented at driving a forklift.
The second one is not a "trick." It's just a bigger machine lifting a smaller one. What's hidden in the fork extensions, and that is what is allowing him to do it.
Not to mention its actually really dangerous. Normally that small forklift's footprint would extent out to the outer edges of its tires. With the small forklift being on forks inboard of the wheels it effectively raises its sideways center of gravity increasing the chance of the small forklift falling over to either side if he picks up the load off center of his forks.
most of these guys would be fired on the spot if i caught them doing this shit on my watch. The only exception is the quarter flipping trick. we do that as a skill test when we get a new hire that says they already know how to drive the lift =).

Dude who jumps on and off lift has never seen sombody lose the lower half of their leg when it was crushed and tankgled in a lift guy i worked with got off before lift stopped and his shirt pulled it back into gear and ran himself over and it cost him his leg it was pretty gruesome i had to work controlls for ems guys so they could get him untangled. And the person doing the burnout would be fired i am all for the occasional burnout but not on a piece of equipment that cost 95$ a hour to work on and 1000 replace those "tires". I guess now that i have a business and pay those bills the cool factor goes away fast when people do stupid shit

None of these are amazing. I'm so annoyed by people thinking the coin thing is so cool...drive a forklift for 6 months and you can do it too. I wanted immaculate accuracy of loading, stacking or unloading pallets/containers.

Except for the stupid coin tricks and the thing with the lighter (*except* for the one driving towards the camera ... that made my heartrate go up). Those are super boring compared to the amazing stuff I see normal drivers doing every day, while doing their actual jobs -- correctly! The only people who find this impressive are the same ones who don't understand how much these things weigh, or how many blind spots they have....

5 and 4 may be necessary evils but if I am the safety manager, the other maneuvers would be out of the question and the operator fired immediately. Will have my video recordings as evidence. I won't be explaining to your family the cause of your death was because you were showing off. Some of those aren't tricks, they are a disaster waiting to happen.
