In India, the usual practice to install flat rooftop solar panels is to drill anchor bolts into the rooftop rcc slab and attach metal rack structure to it with but bolts. This will create waterproofing issues in future due to expansion contraction and vibration from wind to entire structure
Hello! I'll keep that in mind for a future video, but in the meantime you can check out our friends over at S-5! Metal Roof Innovations: th-cam.com/channels/_1L69Z3Qm7rj9ds4G8KoAg.html They have some good info on their channel about solar mounts. Thanks! -Thad
A crazy question maybe, but why not use a flashing on pipes and around skylights that are as long lasting as the roof material? Call me crazy, it just doesn't make sense to put things on a lifetime product that won't last a lifetime! ???
Hello! There many options when it comes to flashing a pipe penetration and contractors develop their own methods over the years that are successful for them. However, using a rubber pipe flashing is probably the most industry standard method when it comes to flashing a pipe which is why we discuss it in this video. Although it will require maintenance over the course of time, the labor and cost is minimal and the products are readily available everywhere. Thanks for the comment! -Thad
How would you properly flash a residential range hood vent?

None of these solutions satisfy me. It’s ridiculous we can’t get a product that will last the life of the system
What do you use for a T-Top?
Pls give some solution

Rubber boots are done by amateurs. Pros learn to flash with same metal...make a cone, seam it to panels, use curbs, learn to fold, etc.
Decktites are garbage. Learn to make and seam in cones, made from same metal.
Okay, let's go a step further, here's a more lasting way, check out my video from a few years ago; th-cam.com/video/mXMzV1klJsY/w-d-xo.html
