This is why you remain the best 80s flashback channel on TH-cam my friend. I literally forgot about these commercials until today. But to answer your question as a kid i really did a number on those Ecto Coolers and the fruit rollups. I remember they had this Swirly rainbow flavor which was good. Also honorable mention i use to eat alot of Liptons cup of soup (Not sure if you remember) My mom would make that for me sometimes after school.
Hi-C Ecto cooler was my favorite drink when I was a kid. Get home from school, put Batman the animated series on TV, microwave a bagel dog, and pour a giant plastic cup of Ecto cooler... 😋 The green Hawaiian punch that comes in the gallon jugs today taste exactly like the Ecto cooler from back in the day, FYI.
I remember the micro magic fries and shake Yuck. The fries would be soggy, and the shake would still be frozen. I loved the ecto cooler. The nes zapper was my favorite. I remember getting up to level 99 on duck hunt. I just missed one but still got a game over. Great job Kurt. Keep up the good work. 👍
When I moved in 2019 I gave away the old computer equipment I had. I gave it all to a guy that builds computers for women that have been in shelters. Something unusual that I didn't need any more was a box of 10 brand new Memorex DAT (a backup method, tape) from 1996. The guy said they were like gold to him.
Obviously not I had one when I was a kid. It would leave like a light green stain on your clothes afterwards. My mom would get it removed when she did laundry
I like the micro magic commercials, I've never had those products but it reminds me of the recent ore-ida commercials that have a retro feel and the microwave burgers remind me of the Fast Bites brand at dollar tree and other stores
That Gatorgum commercial was creepy but that's what's awesome about the 80s, Weird creepy commercials lol btw I grew up drinking squeeze its those were awesome !
I remember when I was kid traveling on the road in the 80’s we would stop at Stuckey’s. (so nostalgic!) That first stop my mom would buy one of those paddles with the rubber band and ball attached to it. Of course she would yank the ball and rubber band and ball of it and use it as a paddle if my sister or I got out of line! Stuckey’s was also a great stop to get some food or snacks, use the restroom, and stretch your legs too. Sure wish they were still around!
I don't remember 'Micro Magic' but that hamburger ad was funny...5:20 that looks like Drew Barrymore....I forgot about 'Squeeze it"...boy, these commercials definitely feel nostalgic and take me back to a more simpler and carefree time...I also did not remember that 'Matchbox' were the ones who made the 'Voltron' toys...I always thought that they only made toy cars.
I was born in 1981 but I don't remember most of these. But seeing the ones that I do remember and hearing what they actually said as opposed to what my 6-year-old bilingual household ears heard is pretty cool. Also, I have never had nor heard of deviled ham.
Hi. Love your videos Kurt. My family and I would love it if you could please do Fast n Furious locations when you have a chance. We dream of going there one day as we moved to AZ over 10 years ago. Did I say we love your videos? :-)
We don't get Cookie Crisp here in Canada, so as a kid, whenever we would go down to Seattle, I would get it! The only commercial in your video that I remember seeing as a kid is the Fruit Roll-up! By the way, that man really should have kept his pudding pop to himself!😆
Just Say, "Hello No to microwave french fries!" Funny, yesterday I just had to retire my aunt's torn out Trader Joe's bag that you have in the backseat.
The 80s was when Underwood Deviled Ham started going downhill. Now it is certainly not the same product it was in the 1970s. Yes, my grandmother depended on that ham to feed my brother and I quick easy lunches/snacks.

You got that right! I used to love deviled ham as a kid but now it is more like really cheap potted meat.
I loved the bacon cheeseburger burrito from Taco Bell. Wish they never got rid of it. Also, that was during the mid-90s, not the 80's. Taco Bell has certainly gone downhill since the 80's/90's.
02:55 I really wish they would just bring Ecto-Cooler back as a permanent flavor. What’s the big deal? Release the flavor without Slimer on the box if need be.
Ugghhh micro magic fries..disgusting but they did the trick on the way home from an ac/dc concert and theres no micky Ds..restaurants closed at 9pm in rural maine..so microwave foods at Cumberland Farms were a Banquet
@@thebestchannel5456 you mean I Spy? Actually no I never watched that show. In fact I never knew anything about this show until about 20 years ago when it was released on DVD. I also never watched The Cosby Show. I always was more of a sci-fi nerd 🤓
06:04 I use to drink Squeeze-It's while watching Three Amigos ('86) pretending it was tequila.
Can't say I ever ate deviled ham. But that commercial for Zap It brought back a memory. Thanks for this.
...gotta luv❤them 80's - 😎💯💥👍!

Oh yeah, Micro fries… still have burn scars on the roof of my mouth from 1987
Wow I use most of these items.

Gatorgum, where the flavor lasts about 5 secs. Also Fruit Roll Ups, but not for those with dentures, lol.
*Cheers* ☕ from *On The Road* _-_🚛-_-_ here in *Houston, Texas.* 🇨🇱
Lol, Anyone who had a 'Zap It' knows that the disappearing ink didn't fully disappear.
Obviously not
I had one when I was a kid. It would leave like a light green stain on your clothes afterwards. My mom would get it removed when she did laundry
I love the hostess chocolate pies. We would go to the hostess store and get them. The chocolate and vanilla. So many great memories.

That GatorGum commercial might be the scariest commercial of all time😳
That Deviled Ham commercial was Creepy as hell... WOW
Yeah and the GatorGum commercial
Deviled ham is actually good with tortillas lol
No way kids eating cat food spread lol
*Püdding Pops !* 🤘🏻
I can smell the preservatives through the screen 😂😂😂 and people wonder why they’re unhealthy
I loved the pudding pops and ectocooler out of the 46 ounce can.
Filming Locations Idea She's Out Of Control Staring Tony Danza
They had those little soda bottles you could eat afterwards.

My favorite 80s commercials are Levi's Big jeans, Hershey's chocolate syrup, and fruit roll-ups aka fruit by the foot.
Fruit roll-ups and fruit by the foot are two different things.
Ughh jeeze I don’t understand why they can’t make ecto cooler just a regular flavor and bring it back. It was the best tasting juice of all time.
Micro Magic fries are the very first thing I ever remember eating from a microwave 😆

Wendy’s Classic Commercial..WHERE’S THE BEEF???!!! My 80’s Personal Favorite. The Zap It. Damn Shame I Forgot About Those!!

Deviled Ham...aka cat food for kids!
No kidding basically potted meat
Never heard of Deviled Ham!
Memorex was my go-to when making a mixtape. Did you see the size of those cupcakes?
You can't get those nowadays.
Those Micro Magic skateboarders look like the one making fun of you for not doing an Ollie.

Too young to remember all of these (born 1985), but definitely remember Bill Cosby as the Jello spokesman.
Just Say, "Hello No to microwave french fries!" Funny, yesterday I just had to retire my aunt's torn out Trader Joe's bag that you have in the backseat.
I remember Micro Magic. They were good for a late night munchies. The milkshakes sucked moose balls though. Who microwaves a milkshake?
Jello Pudding Pops and the Hostess Pudding Pies (preferred the vanilla pudding pies as they were kind of like a Boston Cream Pie)
50 cents for a pound of butter..... how things have changed.
Margarine
I love the chili filled hot dogs
I think everything except for the Gatorade gum never gotten
I am in Lubbock and almost died. You’re on I40 for sure.
I had a Zap It Gun. I had forgotten all about it until I had seen this video! The colors disappeared after a while. How did they do that?

Just like you I used all of them
I’m the only person that I know of (besides you) that eats that. I still eat it too!
Pudding pies so good. So much sugar though.
Is it live, or is it Memorex?
Yeah I remember all of those commercials.
8:38 someone's receiving a phone call/sms.
Deviled Ham!
I lived for Ecto cooler
I loved the bacon cheeseburger burrito from Taco Bell. Wish they never got rid of it. Also, that was during the mid-90s, not the 80's. Taco Bell has certainly gone downhill since the 80's/90's.

Gatorgum was the best
Humanity doesn't half produce some garbage.
Deviled ham looks absolutely disgusting lol.
I miss Oreo’s. I stopped buying them when Nabisco went woke earlier this year
I don't believe that
Where is your son. HOME ALONE?
Lazy video no effort at all … just throw in some commercials 😂
Ahhhhhh..............
Why did I give all my Voltron toys away................
