- American track star and three-time Olympic medalist Tori Bowie has died. Icon Management, Inc., the agency that represented the athlete, announced the news of her death in a tweet. The agency wrote, 'We're devastated to share the very sad news that Tori Bowie has passed away. We've lost a client, dear friend, daughter and sister. Tori was a champion ... a beacon of light that shined so bright! We're truly heartbroken and our prayers are with the family and friends.' She was 32 years old.

I was very sad to hear Tori passed away. I love track and field and enjoyed watching her run. She was elegant and beautiful and seemed like a beautiful soul. I was hoping to see her run again and always looked for her at major championships. May she rest in peace😢.

When I saw on the news that Tori had passed, it😢 broke my heart. Praying for her family, friends and all of her track and field fans
I don't usually cry when somebody whose not related to me died but somehow I can't stop crying for Tori, maybe cause I've never heard a lot about her and she's good. I feel like I missed out a lot on her journey (RIP)
I felt the same. Started crying and don't know anything about her or follow the Olympics. Her energy surpassed her death. May she rest in peace.

I’m so sad over this! She was my favorite female sprinter along with Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce and Dina Asher Smith. Tori was poetry in motion. So fluid and beautiful with such wonderful form. I can’t comprehend this!😢

I remember the Instagram short that show that particular relay race. The music playing was “Unstoppable” and Tori was bringing in the leg. She had such perfect her form and she looked very regal like a Queen who knew she had that race. She was royalty. The US women’s relay team were indeed Unstoppable because of beautiful souls such as this young lady. May she rest in Eternity.

The US has the highest maternal mortality rate of all the developed countries in the world and the maternal mortality rate for Black women is 2.6 times higher than their white peers. Pregnant women are not receiving the appropriate level of medical care because our healthcare system is awful.
