Everything that Connor McDavid does with the puck he does with so much ease, which pleases the hockey world by getting everybody out of seats with such emotion that it puts the crowd in awe as he shows off his natural born ability that even impresses the opposing team with wonder. What true artist he is when playing the game of hockey. Bravo.

He’s the greatest talent the ice had ever since that includes Alexander Ovechkin & Crosby & Gretzky. If Gretzky played today with all the padding goalies have and the limited chances to score based on that fact, he wouldn’t hold a candle to this Phenom. I watched all three of these comparables play and even if their prime, they couldn’t pull off the talent his kid has. The puck is literally glued to his stick and he can manipulate any play in a split of a second. No one compares to him.

MacKinnon is substantially better. He's a super fast power forward with an insane shot that's an absolute game breaker in the post-season. Going into the playoffs you take MacKinnon 100/100 times. You can gameplan around McDavid, there's no gameplanning for MacKinnon when he's on his game, he's quite literally unstoppable. I hope in a few years there's more players like mcdavid that have like super speed amazing hands and gretzky like awareness

We’re all going to act like three of these goals weren’t against back up goalies (Khudobin, Hutchinson, and Korpisalo)? Lol, okay. He also had a 5 or 6 point game against the Avs this year. Everybody went wild for it, conveniently forgetting it was against the backup AHL goalie, hahaha.

Actually, khudobin and korpisalo are pretty good goalies, when taking a look at their save percentage.... If I remember correctly, they were once starters on their own nhl teams. A lot of nhl teams stack their net with really good tandems- case in point, khudobin and bishop, or even say smith and koskinen. Even if they’re back-ups per se, it doesn’t mean that they are exponentially worse than the starter(except for the leafs).

You think all of the greats didn't score a few against backup goalies? McDavid undresses defensemen and goalies almost at will.

They had like 6 first overall picks in 10 years. I think they accidentally got themselves McDavid by drafting like idiots

ratmfan223344 perfectly said, but I think Sids the best ALL AROUND player of all time

@ratmfan223344 i like your assessment... and I'm an Oilers fan. Will be interesting to see how McDavid and Draisaitl stack up.

I love the comments here. No one is disregarding anothers opinion. I totally agree with ratmfan, coming from a Pens fan so I'm no doubt biased. However, Sid's IQ will make him more of a longterm threat than McDavid (atm). McDavid can certainly improve, but so far I can see Sid captaining a team at 42 over McDavid putting 100 point seasons up at 35.

This should be called McDavid barely breaks down his goals so we show other people doing it for him lol
Man - kid just has no TV presence. Similar to Crosby. Not a media personality.
