i am dreading working third shift through this because i have noticed texans in big trucks tend to tailgate and drive fast and i am a nervous wreck in the snow even though i am originally from New England. I think my strategy will be is to put my hazard lights on and just pray they pass me.
I am in Frost Texas and BRRRR It is Freezing even in my Home Hopping the Grid does Not go Down Again cause i only have a little electric heater... So no electric No Heat 😢 ✨🙏✨ praying for warmer temps soon... And for everyone to be safe. ❤ Miss Vikie 🕊💖🕊
Yes please don’t accept just a prayer as your plan B. As stated in another comment a propane heater or something, please have a plan in case of emergency

Yeah. Part our own fault as drivers. But also in many areas there arent snow plows or brining on the roads to prevent as much ice forming, especially where I am there is none at all for a few miles, it gets really dangerous And the power grid... shame
@@genegjr have seen lots of effort to prepare the roads and several trucks prepping for it. On the good side, it may keep those home that should not be driving in any type of bad weather.
Please remember that Texas is LARGE, and snow clearing equipment doesn't exist other than sanding trucks for icy bridges and overpasses. I've driven semi trucks all over the U.S., and found out the hard way how Texas is slightly different than other areas of the country. Where you are, I would guess you stay below freezing for a long period. Texas, like now warms during the day and freezes at night. When they get snow/rain it melts and freezes, and as the cars go over it creates what I call snot road coverings. 4x4's have zero traction, semi's have zero traction even when I had 4x4 drive (rear 4 tires with locking differentials) I had zero traction. Add the smooth iced roads with water on top of ice and people who are from the north and are used to snow where you can get traction... accidents EVERYWHERE. I'll be going into work at 3-4 am to avoid traffic, LOL!
@@ecrosstexas ........ My problem with this is that it's always the cowboys, mavs and the rangers!! We do have another sports team and they're called Dallas Stars! Also, during the sports segment, they'll spend all their time on all those teams, and at the every end, 'and the Stars won!!' And the ONLY time you'll hear about the Stars, is when they're in the playoffs! All sports should be equal!! Let's Go STARS!!!

A Mr heater propane heater is a valuable backup. Please look into that it's indoor safe
