    My granddad (Richard Jones Gilmore) had a peach and plum orchard for several decades on California Street. He sold the farm to the Masonic Lodge and a Housing Subdivision and moved across the street on the corner of California St and San Carlos where he died in the 1980s. Working on the farm picking fruits every summer as a kid was some of the best times I ever had.

    My grandparents bought their current house back in the late 90s and there were chicken ranches right infront of them. But now newer buoy houses stand where the farms were :(
