My son and I saw the movie last night. It was so enlightening powerful emotional. I remember my mother had a statue of mother Caprini growing up. She was an Italian immigrant. Her family came here. I was so mowed by this film. Our world is broken right now and we do need love to heal it.

I am so thankful that Angel Studios is bringing this WONDERFUL STORY AND TESTIMONY to the big screen!!
After seeing so many "good" movies and/or series ruined by the anti-Catholic agenda of so many producers, I am thankful that this story highlights the beautiful mission the Catholic Church has carried on through the ages.
Thank you for highlighting the positive and I applaud your work & effort of bringing it to the public.
May God continue to bless and protect His church and its mission to
1)Unite us in Worship, 2)Evangelize, and
    3)Serve the poor.

IMHO, YOU ARE CLEARLY TAKING THIS STATEMENT OUT OF CONTEXT!
IN THIS FILM, THE WORDS ARE SAID TO A WOMAN IN THE 1900s!!!! BEAR THAT IN MIND, PLEASE!
NOTHING AT ALL TODAY COMPARES TO THAT TIME PERIOD. SHE WAS A WOMAN WHO LED THE WAY FOR YOU TODAY.

Mother Cabrini was a Bride of Christ,
a nun, set apart to serve God. She relied on the
      Holy Sacrifice of the Mass,
      Jesus Christ, prayer and work.
When she was weak, He was strong.
She had the Heart of The Man,
the only begotten Son of Living God
      the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
      She believed...
      She was no modern feminist.
      She believed with St Paul,
"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
      God is Love.
I'll finish the book I'm reading about her before I watch the film.

Immigrants are still hardworking people who love the U.S., they still are devoted to the ideas of freedom and democracy; and, they still are the backbone of the true church, the church that follows JESUS teachings and the gospel, starting with love your neighbor; and, the beatitudes as taught by Jesus himself.

St. Mother Cabrini was amazing! This little woman started hospitals and orphanages, etc. in many countries and crossed the ocean a number of times. She became a citizen of the US and was the first canonized citizen. I have been to the Cabrini Shrine outside of Denver. There is a miraculous well at the top of the hill. There is a statue of her in the chapel that seems lifelike when you look into the eyes.

I am so tired of having ONLY the Church's scandals highlighted, but ignoring or setting aside the beautiful, amazing testimony of so many Godly people in that same Church 💕💒🛐🙏🏼. 'It is one of the most firmly established and most consoling of the truths that have been revealed to us that (apart from sin) nothing happens to us in life unless God wills it so. Wealth and poverty alike come from Him. If we fall ill, God is the cause of our illness; if we get well, our recovery is due to God.
We owe our lives entirely to Him, and when death comes to put an end to life, His will be the hand that deals the blow.'

This film is not Catholic. There is no mention of Our Lord, Mother Cabrini's great devotion to the Sacred Heart, and how her faith carried her through her physical and spiritual struggles. This is nothing more than a shrill feminist screed about triumphing over the "evil patriarchy of the Church." The film is pretty to look at but damaging to the soul.

In convent years, I chose the 'religious name' Sister St. Frances Cabrini s.c.i.m.so I might emulate courage and strength of Francesca Cabrini. In her efforts on behalf of the ill, suffering poor in New York City, she stood up to hospital administrators' interference in medical care. Francesca Cabrini's words one one occasion weren't enough to deter them, and she ordered them out of the hospital, and grabbing hold of a nearby broom, began swinging it at them, literally chasing them in their departure with a broom.

Great movie, excellent acting and in general very high quality filmography, we need more art like this to spread around the World about Our Lord and the life of the saints. The only thing that I found that the movie was missing is, the most important thing of all. St. Mother Francis Xavier Cabrini accomplished so many things, had the courage, the inspiration and was able to do all the charity she did, all because of Our Lord Jesus Christ and her faith in Him. She was part of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Missionaries, her devotion to Him was everything. The movie didn’t exalt the Lord, didn’t show nothing about praying life and most importantly the job these missionaries does around the World which is the conversion of the souls, catechising and working hard for the Glory of God. The opportunity to show the World how incredible are the sacrifices of the consecrated religious people who are able to do anything because of the strength that the Holy Spirit give them.

100% right . Excellent movie but it missed the mark that it was through her faith in God that she achieved so much. It's an American production, there's another earlier Madre Cabrini film 2019 made in Italy that focuses more on the religious drive of her as a nun .

After the passing of Mother Teresa the long hidden truth about how horribly patients were being treated in her hospitals was exposed. No one is perfect but It was clear that the millions upon millions donated to her work did not benefit the poor. How refreshing to learn of Mother Caprini, who even after her passing, nothing negative has surfaced to tarnish her work. Don't care if you disagree with my assessment of Teresa, After reading about what happened under her care, no one will change my view of her. In contrast, Cabrini led a life that was filled with challenges but is an inspiration to us all.

If I was her or a Catholic I would be offended by how stripped this movie is of Jesus, the Father, the Holy Spirit and the POWER OF PRAYER. I would think Christianity and the Catholic Church were evil, and WOMANHOOD is where the power is at. Didn't see Jesus lifted up, neither the Father, or The Holy Spirit. She has got to be sad realizing just woman power was lifted up in this movie, sadly. I felt sad for her and wondered how greatly her story was defamed by not showing anything about her love for Jesus.... She was a woman on her own, except other nuns, they never prayed in the movie either. I just can't believed I saw a movie the bore true witness of the real truth...A movie is being made about my husband and the opening scene is him in a Catholic Church. It's about one time after then next in horrendous situations, taking a pause to just pray for 5 seconds, changed history, one time after the next and saved a few lives. It's about what a personal relationship with Jesus should look like and how God answers prayer, and how praying can save your own life, and can save the lives of those around you. Including 3 famous people. And how even though he grew up with 2 famous fathers (who both have had movies about them made and a famous mother), with many famous friends, John Wayne, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, just to name a few, what really makes someone famous is Honoring The Father. Obeying the Holy Spirit, and Believing in Jesus. And fame and wealth are meaningless without Jesus. That won't be "left out" of his movie. Jesus will be lifted up, not man power. (He had a lot of man power on his way the the title with the greats in the Heavy Weight Boxing Champion world. The Catholic Church will be honored in the movie of his life, even with it's problems in leadership.

His real Father Ernie Nevers is famous in 3 Professional Sports. He invented the hook shot, Pitched to Babe Ruth, Saved the NFL. Ernie has the oldest record NFL record & a first inductee to the NFL Hall of Fame. George Clooney made a movie about that called Letterheads. Gene's life is special to him due to the GREATEST privilege of hearing God's voice in his mind, & how life changing that has been over & over. A very impressive work of art! I enjoyed it and have recommended it to others. Few complaints about the film; one small quibble is the downplaying of the role faith played in her life and decisions, but the Divine still manages to shine through. My only real issue is with the relentless and obnoxious stream of promos and commercials prior to the start of the show. Our advertised showtime was 12:40. Arrived ten minutes early, fully prepared to endure the usual noisy previews ahead of that time. What really got to me was the twenty-five minutes of same AFTER the "start time". I'd like to think this wasn't Angel's doing; however, the published runtime seems to include that preliminary garbage. Odd. If my tickets had been free I might have decided to walk out before the movie even began.

I was taught by Mother Cabrini's order of nuns from 1962-1970. I fell in love with Mother Cabrini and her life. I remember that there were times that some of older nuns who were with Mother Cabrini would come to our classrooms and tell us wondrous stories about her. I developed a spiritual connect with Mother Cabrini and have a collection of items about her. I am planning to purchase a poster from the movie. Do you know if thee are any posters that are signed by the actors from the film? Also, is there anything I can do to help promote this important film. I am willing to volunteer to do anything to ensure that people see this movie.

@AngelStudiosInc this is completely deceptive, in my opinion, that you make your ticket purchasers think that Angel Studios is the one that's giving the proceeds to a charity -- you did not clarify that it was the production company only. Do the right thing and also give the proceeds that Angel Studios gets for this movie and also Sound of Freedom, while you are at it, since none of the proceeds went to the charity that's depicted in that movie

@@multiversehacking- I appreciate your feedback but please note: Angel Studios is competing against the entire movie industry and all of those big budget films. Additionally, Angel Studios does not have access to big distribution resources; they do it all themselves….. I am THRILLED to have the quality, inspiring content provided by Angel Studios and have no problem treating the company like a charity.

The film contains little about God, prayer, or the Catholic faith in general. Leaving this out when making a film about a Catholic saint to me is leaving out half the story. In conclusion the movie had some strong points but left out an important part of the true story.

It’s a mainstream movie, God is barely mentioned and the Sacraments never mentioned, both the source of her strength through her physical weakness. Her strength, love, and compassion points to God, if you only saw Saint Cabrini, you missed the point, it’s NOT her story, it’s Gods story

What you said is completely true. And instead of focusing on those things, the movie focuses on a feminist and misandrist message as well as an anti-American (specifically anti-WASP) message. It felt just like typical Hollywood messaging.

  • @NancyFlores-wl2en
    @NancyFlores-wl2en 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

My sister saw it and said it lacked her inner being as a Catholic Christian. It was too politically motivated and obviously changed to show favoritism to feminism. This woman was motivated to do great work to help the needy because of her faith. She lived a life of prayer and piety. But I guess that's just too painful & difficult for Hollywood to show to the world.

. That's true. However the influx of immigration ws through Ellis Island and generally they needed sponsorship from a resident or citizen. There is no regulation and our own citizens are being ignored. I saw a black man who was about 45 yelling that he worked full time but was homeless. There are veterans who are pushed aside. I don't blame the migrants but I do blame those who are taking advantage of them. And ignore citizens who don't get the assistance that should come first. The west will fall and the balance of power will shift in scary ways.
