I saw it was recently published but won't get around to reading it soon. As for future reading, many other older works "in the que"! But I have really enjoyed Wellum's "God the Son Incarnate". Thanks for your question, and I hope you'll subscribe to the channel!
@@thenerdypastor2778 Thanks for the reply! That makes sense. I subscribed when I heard you talk about the importance of doctrine...without being uptight and inflammatory. There's a firmness on truth that's not sacrificed with a Christ like humility that I really appreciate about you. :) I asked about Wellum because I'm wrestling through baptism and covenant theology and was curious if you were gonna tackle his book or not. All good! Blessings.
@@commanderchair Thanks for subscribing, brother! And appreciate the encouragement, certainly God's grace working. And let me know what you think if you jump into Wellum. I'm a Presbyterian, so, I would see Baptism as the providential intersection between Divine Election and the historical Covenant of Grace. Thus, we baptize infants of believers (Baptism/Church's Body which still needs Faith/Church's Head), and adults who profess trust in Christ (Faith/Church's Head which still needs Baptism/Church's Body).
@@thenerdypastor2778 What are some books or systematics that explain covenant theology/reformed paedobaptism well? I grew up presby but never understood why babies were getting baptized. Currently go to a reformed Baptist church. Just trying to understand why someone like Tim Keller would baptize babies :)
@@thenerdypastor2778 amazing. God be with you brother. Hey, if possible I'd love to request if you'd be willing to pray for me. I know you don't know me. But I also hold to the Westminster. I attend a reformed baptist church at the moment though. And I stand firm upon my confession of Christ as Lord. I'd love to request if you could pray for Gods leading me. I'm dealing with a lot right now. Uncertain of housing and finances, etc. So I'm in need of faith and hope in Christ to lead me through this time.
Enjoyed the video, could you please video like this on Christology.
Have you read, or will read Wellum's new Systematic that came out? Post a vid on it?
