Hmm. I understand the reasoning, but right now, I don't pay to watch a multitude of youtubers. I like you, but I could never like any streamer/youtuber enough to dedicate a monthly payment. Tip: Check the input and output numbers of your things. Like how many units a smelter consumes and produces per minute. and compare it to the output of your miner, and the input of your constructor.

Its fun to watch, I have OCD I could never do that, but mine is not severe, I can watch it and have fun. And if OCD really bothers me I can just watch Nilaus instead.
3:45 The reason mining is so slow is because that's an impure vein. There's 3 kinds of veins. Impure, Normal, and Pure. Depending on the type of vain you get more or less material. When looking for pure veins, you can use your scanner then check your map. When the scanner picks something up, it will put a temporary marker on your map. Hover over the marker to see what kind of vein it is.
Hey Matt! Two important tips: 1) press the "+" symbol on the crafting menu to see what you need for materials (so you don't have to remember) 2) build everything on foundations. Trust me, it'll make things easy better

I'm glad the devs at coffee stain studio took my complaint seriously. The last time I played Satisfactory, it was way too dark. The world went from looking like an awesome vacation in the Bahamas to a cloudy and depressing day in the UK. It looks like they brightened things up and included a global illumination setting. How many studios would add a global illumination setting? These guys are awesome.
I got into SF at update 2. Its refreshing to see someone starting out, learning everything new. After so many years starting a new map is on rails and boring by comparison. Good Job Matt. Welcome to the community. Vamonos!

Shift+Click transfers a whole stack from inventory to machine or vice versa. Ctrl+Shift+Click transfers all stacks (more helpful when you unlock storage)
Imagine RCE, Imkibitz, and LGIO playing Satisfactory together. All three of them have different options about factory layouts and organization (or lack of).
LGIO Is actually quite famous for his Satisfactory play though with Satisfactory fans and Coffee Stains Studio (the creators of Satisfactory). *If you weren't aware of it already*
1000 hours in Satisfactory, me; if you would like a couple easy tips for early game, I've got you. Portable miners, load up whatever node with as many as will fit on the node physically. You will end up using them anyway. Creatures can be made passive or semi-passive in the options. Also, you might turn on arachnophobia mode should you have an issue with arachnids. Mid-game could see a huge concrete requirement (and plates, I think), if you are not worried about building realism. Build "sky-bridges" to connect remote sections of bases, to avoid fart towers and/or creatures and/or terrain. There is an insta-death skybox, don't go too high. Early game benefits from loads of buildings fed by storage containers on the early belts, with the PC picking up the raw materials from those loads of miners. Also, dump all the made materials into storage, to keep production running steady state. Also also, Mr Engineer man: check the recipe numbers. A very large part of gameplay in this game is the balancing of resource flow, matching production numbers to consumption numbers. Press "N" in-game for a search box that doubles as a calculator.

Hit the space bar when you’re using the craft table and you won’t have to hold down the mouse button. Double clicking will move things to/from your inventory. Control and left click will move all of one type of item. Holding down control when you are building things will snap them to the universal grid.

One argument for putting the videos of Satisfactory up on youtube since you'd get the funds from patreon and then how the video handles on TH-cam doesn't matter at that point as it fills another slot for the dreaded x/10 rating. Rather than worrying is the next video going to be a 8,9,or 10/10 I'd argue choosing a video to land in that spot is helpful in it's own way. Plus the value of paying to get to see the content a few weeks or a month early could be another selling point to the patreon for those that like the satisfactory videos. Either way you do you, but thought I'd at least help the algorithm with another comment.
my friends and I recently started playing satisfactory in a 4 player game and its wild what you can do with a group, like with the boombox you can yeat your friends when they jump. fun with a jetpack not so fun without.

Hey RCE make sure you pay attention to the production recipes for example with your mk 1 miners they produce different amount of ore depending on the purity of the node for a normal node it produces 60 ore per minute but the smelters inly require 30 ore per minute so you can put a splitter in and have 2 smelters running off of 1 miner.
I'll drop another tip I haven't seen yet. When building conveyors you'll notice you need to double click. Instead, click once, then look up. You can adjust the height of the supports. Click again to build.

When I got ammunition for my guns automated I felt like I truly accomplished something in this game. I've only got about 300 hrs, but it's all on one save. I messed up and started dumping everything into a single storage network. Needless to say I ended up building a tower which let me sort everything out. It's ugly but it works. I love my horrible factory. lol.
I do not often support content creators on Patreon, but Satisfactory videos from RCE is definitely entertainment that's worth my money. Looking forward to this series!

you can up the production using pure nodes instead of impure. and it would be wise to pick up every slug you see. becouse in the futer you can ove clock youre machines with it. :-)
SHORT TIPP : if u want to craft something u not have to ppress the button the whole time u can press "space" once and then it will craft the whole time until ur out of Materials.

man, i remember when i started my file, it was so slow at the beginning, wait until you can automate everything, just a quick tip, remember to take a lot, and i mean a LOT of cable and wire when going to build your first coal powerplant, check al resources you will need for serveral and take everything with you, you will thank me later

Pro tip. You don’t need to hold the “craft” button. I think I always just hit space bar once
