Hi, I'm the developer. Thanks, Matt, for playing my game! I've been a fan of your channel for years and its kind of mind blowing to see you covering my game.
I commend you for trying the eliminate all the other species. Its especially difficult because as the total number of NPC lifeforms decreases, they get to do fissions more frequently. There are however objectives in the later levels where you have to eliminate specific species that have more abilities.
p. s. The latest version of Destroyer of Architects now eats poo.. I mean nitrates ;)

I do like how there is competition amongst individuals of the same species because each time there's replication there will be some genetic differences leading to differences in survivability. 👍

I love the cell stage in spore, there is just something so cool about starting small and becoming the biggest. This game and there is another free game out there trying to recreate the magic. These just feel too easy, not like the celll stage was ever really hard, but this one seems to have no giant species to try to catch and overtake.
You already hit top of the board before selecting a single attack type ability if they even exist. Single cell organisms have grabbers or suck in food, some sting and paralyze there are a lot of cool things that could be done to make the gameplay more dynamic
Check out Thrive, if you haven't already. Wish RCE would check it out and give it some traction as well. The dev could really need it

Wait. I thought sugars and carbs are the same thing? Like all carbs are processed by the body into sugar, which is why I, as a diabetic have to track carbs, not sugars.

in a way yes, but then again even cellulose is basically sugar, just so much longer chains of it... Basically, if you eat sugar, you don't really need even digest it, but eat cellulose and you won't digest it. In a way, same thing, but then again not... Much like methane and bitumin are similar hydrocarbons, but one is a gas and the other one is solid'ish goop. And then there is everything in between.

Hm, might be that some of the yellows, greens, etc, were enemies of the purples, or else competed with them for food. So you might not have been helping yourself, taking care of the purple's competition. Maybe concentrate on keeping the numbers of enemy groups approximately equal and only bringing down one type at a time. For all I know!

Omg! Been waiting on a new spore-like for while. This isnt QUITE it, but since Elysian Eclipse seems to have stalled, this is the next best thing! Bought!
This game also stalled. Released 03.07.2024, last update 23.07.2024, only 20 days of updates. The discussions on Steam also stalled put on the 25.07.2004 and the developer last replied on the 22.07.2024...
@@PsychEngel Why is a spore-like sooo hard to finish! Instead of trying to make a whole new game, someone should do for spore what people have done with xcom and civ. Create an overhaul mod to bring it intto modern. lol

1. Different engine. The engine dictates, how something runs and they can be extremely different.
2. Different structure. Even if it's the same engine, the structure of the code could break anything.
3. The complexity is to high.
@@PsychEngel What? how does using the spore engine to make a spore overhaul mod hit any of your points? What are you talking about?
