i do find that the change of light always made a huge differences on a good day. personally i prefer early morning starts than going through the night for a fish

Been thinking of trying around North Shore area at night, never had any luck during the day this winter! Have you got a headlamp brand you prefer or would you just recommend any brand as long as it's bright enough?

I spent many years fishing whangaparoa and still have family up there, now in the bay of plenty! Getting bent on the salt and fresh water!
