My mom and aunt had a raccoon as a pet when they were young. They found him as a baby abandoned by his mom yet nothing was physically wrong with him. He was the sweetest, cutest, and mischievous animal they had. They trained him pretty well. Just like a trained dog. They had him for 7 years but while mating season came he never came back. @@verameertens839 I mean fruit already has a stupid amount of natural sugars in it, and raccoons normally eat a lot of native fruits if they can reach them. Trash panda for the win wooooo! Kidding they are so cute. My late friend used to have one. It loved coffee. Always had to find our cup and put his hands in it. We had to bring our cups everywhere we went to prevent it. But if you know raccoons. Lets just say she gave him a cooled down one when we poured ours. Gave him a tiny mug. He was happy. Loved dog food. She had two small dogs that treated him like family. All three of them used to sleep togeher in the living room. It was an odd but good relationship. Fun times. I love all animals.....including us belligerent creatures. . . Sometimes . . .
This is why I always argue with some people who think Raccoons are "Dirty disgusting animals." They are nowhere near that. Even in the wild, they are clean animals. They keep their burrows clean, have designated "bathroom" spots, store food in cool dry places if available, and most off all they wash their paws and food before eating it.
Actually, they don't wash their hand/food They dip the food in water with their hands, so that their hands get wet & they can sense what they're about to eat more clearly But ends up cleaning their hands & food.. Soo yeh
@@Raven7400 They are dangerous when you threaten them or their babies or they are competeing with others for food. If there is enough to share and there's no threat to their safety they are different. I have been feeding wild raccoons for years. They are actually very nice creatures. I've never had a moment of aggression from her. We're good friends.
Duncan Trussell described racoons washing cotton candy as a perfect metaphor for the human condition. Whatever we try to hold that we think will make us happy dissolves as soon as we get it. It illustrates the futility of seeking happiness from our surroundings.

A few come up to me and are gentle but I’ve never touched them because they growing up outside I’m not sure what they come in contact with. Wild ones are known to carry some kind of worm on their skin that can be fatal to humans. I don’t have a vet in my hometown that specializes in wildlife either.
Found out a man took his son hunting and shot Sancho. Didn’t know he was a pet until they seen the collar. The son got scared because Sancho was walking up to him. Duh! He was trained by humans!
This is so sad
*raccoons being small bears you shouldn't mess with*
Humans: "chubby trashthief with smol hands :3"
I just love them 🥰
nonononono- they're called bandit bears now they look to perfect for it-
this is what I look like, looking for my keys... “I swear I put them here”
It's funny to watch animals get tricked with cotton candy
This is basically how most of my hopes and dreams play out.
Raccoon: Takes cotton candy piece in the water
Water: Dissolves the cotton candy
Raccoon: *Surprised Pikachu face*
*This is on another level of adorableness*
4:00 That little tougne slurping up that water! 😍
Raccoon: *drags cotton candy*
Water: bye bye cotton candy
Also the raccoon: NANI?!
Why does my bath water taste gradually more and more delicious?
No matter how many times I see this video, it never gets old. Lol
This just made me sad.
I am laughing so hard I gotte pee. How does this make you sad it's the funniest shit ever
Same, must be so frustrated.
I felt the same but only because she is giving them so much sugar
@@verameertens839 is it bad for them?
@@verameertens839 I mean fruit already has a stupid amount of natural sugars in it, and raccoons normally eat a lot of native fruits if they can reach them. Granted it’s the other ingredients that are probably more harmful, but the amount they got won’t hurt them in the long run, they might puke later, but that’s better then them getting ill.
"is this kind of sick joke to you?" asks the raccon calmly
This joke is ass
@@bakern1309 your humor is ass, just chill out and let someone enjoy a video

@@bakern1309 eh, just above the comment I made, you weren't serious were you? Someone would have to be pretty sad to make fun of a TH-cam comment..
@@deranged_dragon9471 My comment wasn't made to be serious or humorous, he's joke was just straight ass. Nothing more, nothing less
This was me when I was 5 and I was eating cotton candy and it rained 💀
😂😂
"Racoon! DID YOU PUT YOUR COTTON CANDY INTO THE GOBLET OF WATER!?" Mother asked calmly.
The most wholesome “wtf” faces ever!
Fun times. I love all animals.....including us belligerent creatures. . . Sometimes . . .
I feel really bad for them, they wanted a snack and it just disappeared!
They're just dangerous when wild.
?????
Hehehehehe washing their food
Actually, they don't wash their hand/food
They dip the food in water with their hands, so that their hands get wet & they can sense what they're about to eat more clearly
But ends up cleaning their hands & food.. Soo yeh
@@Raven7400 They are dangerous when you threaten them or their babies or they are competeing with others for food. If there is enough to share and there's no threat to their safety they are different. I have been feeding wild raccoons for years. They are actually very nice creatures. One I even trust to let inside my house each night. She eats and drinks, explores a little and then goes home. That's it. She lets me pet her, sit down beside her, touch her babies. I've never had a moment of aggression from her. We're good friends.
Me before even clicking play: "Animal cruelty!" Haha, poor guys
It’s so adorable that it’s heartbreaking.
Beautiful animals.
Lol 😂
Mitchell you're funny.
Now you have raccoons with sticky up to their armpits. 😂
Duncan Trussell described racoons washing cotton candy as a perfect metaphor for the human condition. Whatever we try to hold that we think will make us happy dissolves as soon as we get it. It illustrates the futility of seeking happiness from our surroundings.
Just having good manners washing the food before eating, I mean you know where it has been.
4:41 I can imagine him being like “Yeah mom, I’ll be there in a sec, I’m just trying to figure out where my cotton candy went!”
The raccoon getting a tasty treat: 🙂
The camera man: gone reduced to atoms
Your house is so nice and clean. People would never guess raccoons have been in there. It's so cute to see them try to wash their food. They're smarter than we give them credit for.
I literally had to look up why raccoons dip their food in water. It was so hilarious/sad seeing their faces as their snacc disappeared…
Fun fact, this habit gave them their name in german, they are called waschbär in german and that translates to wasching bear ^^
in french theyre called raton laveur and that translate to washer raccoon
@lolseagull nobody said that they wash their food?! o_O
Here in America, they're nicknamed Trash Pandas 😄
I’m laughing way too hard at this 🤣🤣🤣 Piper was frantic after the second one falling in the water. And Cheeto just wasn’t sure what happened to them 🤣💀
They must've had some sticky paws xD
