Super nice. Sweet. When Sig produces the P227 Legion in 10mm with 14-15 round mags, I am buying it as soon as it is available. I have been holding out for that gun since the Legion line was introduced. I don't want an 8 round large frame 10mm. I want the double stack. I have a poly double stack Glock 10mm. It is a good gun. But it is no Legion P series for sure. Sig you will own the market for high end top quality 10mm when you finally produce this coveted gun.
The blacklash against the P227 when the extended magazines failed was so great that i just dont see Sig ever bringing that gun back. Really a shame as i would personally love to have a P227 10mm Single Action Only model.

Really love the gun, and love the color BUT, why is it considered grey? I am either color blind or think that this grey actually looks more like the Army green that was used on those WWII military supplies years ago?

I plan to get a 10mm and very probably the P220 model. I love it's full size and the grip size is a perfect fit for me. i ordered one of each my 10mm is already in for some reason only the 45 acp has the mastershop flat trigger and i havent figured out why yet, tho they 10mm still feels amazing to shoot lol i loved it more than i thought i would, i wanted 10mm but also wanted that trigger so i ordered both 😅 lmao but now that i have the 10mm that trigger doesnt even bother me as the gun just feels so good as a whole, my everyday carry is a p226 legion and i love it thats my perfect gun, but these p220 legions are pretty close to being as nice lol
I have the Sig P220 Hunter in this same platform and it is awesome!. I think the trigger pull is just under 6 lbs. I would like to improve it some. Can you do custom work on these triggers? Thank you!
@@Interpolation1911 no sir they don't. I got lucky as hell. An old man I know was thinning the safe contents, and had this gun unfired. It had never been loaded. I offered him $1100 and he took it. I got 3 factory mags with it.
I got a Glock 20. 15 rounds of 10mm is great. This p220 is leagues better all around but double the price and half the capacity. Comparable to a high end 1911.
@@kingpins9 A lot of people use Glock 20's in bear country and having more rounds available is a big plus. I don't know if anyone really needs 15 rounds of 10mm, or in the case of a bear attack if you would actually have time to use them, but I've never heard of anyone complaining about having too many rounds in their firearm in the case of an emergency.
I am eagerly awaiting the return of the P227. It should be revived as the 10mm Legion with 14-15 round mags. It is so obvious there is a void to be filled here.
@@guardianminifarm8005 amen to that! I do not feel under-gunned with my 8+1. My P220 is loaded with 180 grain Noslers at 1240 fps. My backup mags are.loaded with 200 grain XTP's at 1250 fps.
Yes, but it'll cost ya. You need a complete p220 45 acp slide and recoil guide rod/spring along with the standard 45 acp locking block. The locking block can be swapped using no tools as well as the slide of course. The biggest issue you'll have is locating a slide as Sig no longer makes the caliber conversion kits for the p220. Edit: You cannot go the opposite way, that is to say from a 45 p220 to a 10mm unless the 45 is a steel frame. The aluminum frame isnt up to the task of the 10mm, according to Bruce Grey who designed the first 10mm conversion P220.

I have an X5 legion and i absolutely dont like the finish... gets scratches so easily.. then i saw the 220Legion in 10mm..I love it...but not the finish.. This one looks green againts your gray shirt..
Sig has their own brand of 10mm that is full power (over 600 ft pounds of muzzle energy) brass cased 10mm that is less than 50 cents per round and my LGS carries a range ammo brand that is 20 dollars for 50, the same as cheap 45 acp plinking ammo. Besides, their is no reason not to reload your own pistol cartridge ammo, you dont even have to trim the cases. With the Sig its even easier as it has an accessory rail which you can mount a brass catcher to.

Get them on Gunbroker a little cheaper sometimes. I bought 5 for $42 a piece for my P220 Hunter. It's not a high volume gun, so they won't be cheap due to production limits.
Joe Jr some people get into that labeling crap. The true presentation of this pistol should be “This new legion pistol is just like our other legion pistols in that it cost $1100 and offers you the ability to spend more money on our legion club exclusive gear”. With that said I think the p220 is one of the best 45/10mm’s ever made and I’m getting one, just not a legion. I’m way past spending premium money on marketing schemes.

The trigger alone on the Legion series is well worth it. I replaced my p226 and p229 with the legion version and never regretted it. And I have never bought any of the merch lol
I have a sig p220 10mm Lipsey Elite model. Stainless blackened slide on the silver stainless frame, night sights, G10 grips, amazingly smooth trigger,.... Very special build. If you find one - Buy It! Truly one of the nicest SIGs I own. And yes I own a couple Legion SIGs too as well as a couple P226 Mk-25s Navy Seal handguns. The Lipsey SIG is the nicest 10mm I've ever shot. Had to buy it.
