3 years ago, I lost my athletic, seemingly healthy husband of 33 years to a heart attack. In my grief and brokenness, I searched for songs to help me get through as I struggled with the reality of losing my best friend. One night I was looking for "It Is Well With My Soul" and came across this version. I had never heard of you guys, but I loved your version of this song and I played it nightly for months as a reminder to me that even if I didn't understand why God took my beloved husband home at the age of 56, I could depend on God to know the reason, and to be by my side as I worked through my grief. There are still times when it gets hard as I discover what God has for me, but I know I can have peace, knowing that the path He gives will be where I need to be to bring Him glory. Thanks so much guys for being a part of my journey!

I thought that was great, until my son's doctor explained that it means progressive deterioration into early onset dementia (I'm in my 50s), and that unlike MS, there is no treatment. Right now I'm sad, but not beaten. I will cling to the cross and this song is my solace.

These handsome men are so wonderful to watch on you tube. I like them because they are "clean cut, no shaggy beards or long shaggy hair or weird clothes". No stupid antic's before they sing, just wonderful singing to their audience. They sing so well, none of these terrible side lines do they need. You can pick out each of their voices as they sing their 4 part harmony so well. Each one gives a quality to the song that enhances the sound. Best quartet that I have heard, because their voices blend so well. Plus, their timing is terrific. Josh's bass voice's timing on every song is perfect. The tenor is wonderful because he gives the song the contrast that it needs in 4 part harmony. Lead baritone's both of them are superb, as they add flavor and tell the story of the song. Today. Redeemed Quartet will hit 20,000,000 views on You-Tube!! This weekend, they will probably hit 100,000 subscribers. They basically had the same numbers on FaceBook until their site was removed for no reason after being there for over six years! In my book this is plain miraculous!!! Over 40,000,000 views of four best friends that God told them to start singing together at ages 17,17,19 and 19. They knew absolutely nothing about music and had never sang by themselves before. I have never once heard them say "push that like button" or "please subscribe"! To me this has all been blessed by God because four young men wanted God to get the Glory!!! Love to the Redeemed Quartet!!! God raised you up for His Glory in this hour and I don't believe you have seen the half of it yet!!!!!!

I think this is one of the greatest sung songs of all time (my proud but humble opinion) in the history of this world! This song has 2.7 million views on TH-cam alone in over 4 years. That is a lot of views, but, I often ask why this song lacks views comparably to other songs the quartet has sung? Could it be because it is not always to say it is well? I would like to confess that this song is always an encouragement to me when I listen to it, but I sometimes can't sing it from the depths of my own heart! I am one that does not fall into condemnation, but I can carry a burden so deeply for others, for the Church, for the lost, for the unborn, for the abused, for the hurting, for the religious, for my child, for my wife, for a strained relationship etc.,--it does not FEEL well with my soul. I wrestle with the Lord on this subject much! "Lord, you tell us to cast all our burdens to You, yet burdens are what propel me! You tell us to mourn with those that mourn--Lord, You know I do!! To the extent of ruining my own mental, physical and sometimes spiritual health!" People tell me that I need to take a break. How do you take a break from loving and caring for others? Wow!!! That was a vent! Anyhow, listening to this song encourages me greatly--- I might just have to wait till heaven to be able to sing it from the depths of my being? So thankful that the Redeemed Quartet was burdened with the burden to try to encourage every ear that had an ear to listen!!! They sure have encouraged me in this dark old world!!!!

This touches my heart as in two years my oldest brother was killed, and then mom and dad were called home. God took them home. I had the privilege to be born into a Godly home with loving parents. Whenever I hear this hymn I just start crying and realize that God was not surprised when my brother, mom and dad were called home. People say I’m sorry you lost your loved one, and I say I know exactly where they are and they are where we all want to be, my brother did not get five minutes before he died. He didn’t even get five seconds before he died. Praise God praise God he made that decision as a young man to accept Christ and follow hard after him. Don’t wait please don’t wait I can’t imagine the grief if we didn’t know that he was home as the Bible says this is my beloved, and this is my friend. He’s with a Saviour who he served and loved so much. We are looking for that great reunion day, whether by grave, or by the Sky he’s coming back oh yes our Saviour is coming back to take us home. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

Caleb and Joshua and family lost all but the clothes on their back in a house fire. Can't imagine your loss!! Five children were at home with mom and Caleb and Joshua were with dad. Caleb and Joshua and father came home knowing nothing about the days event. It was a painful event, but wow---I am so sorry!!!
I lost my mom and my sister a week apart and my father a few years later. We used to sing this at home during our family worship every evening. 😢 In between all these I found my fiancee with another woman in a hotel room when I was 4 months pregnant, few weeks later I lost my unborn child and ended the engagement. I have been through so much pain and suffering but the joy that awaits me is greater than all of these. I have found comfort in the word of God and the hymns I listen to. During all my pain and sorrows the Lord was with me and he is still with me. I cannot find anyone in this world that can mend my broken heart for the losses that I have been through and the pain and suffering that I am in but Everytime I hear this hymn I find peace in my heart. I pray that one day I can find peace to move on and I can find love and happiness again. If it doesn't happen I wait for that glorious day for Christ to come again. All I can say is, it is well with my soul. 🙏

You can't see the dam, just bubbling, swirling water over it, and the water is getting close to the bottom windows of the mill. It's swirling all around. Hi, guys, a couple of days ago, TH-cam introduced your "Wayfaring Stranger" to me and I was mesmerized, so I subscribed to your channel. Hi, guys, a couple of days ago, TH-cam introduced your "Wayfaring Stranger" to me and I was mesmerized, so I subscribed to your channel. Of course, after that, your videos keep coming up whenever I surf into TH-cam. "It is well with my soul" is one of my favourite hymns and I have cried when I found out the backstory behind the hymn. I have to say this is really well shot. I love the landscape, the church building and your voices. You sing so well and look so good, one should be forgiven to mistake you for visiting angels.
