I know you have reinforced concrete floors so it should be a lot better than wooden beams. I have been thinking about buying an apartment in Kyiv that's why I'm asking.
Hello Sture, I can shine a bit more light on your question. First of all, in order for you to invest in Ukraine as foreigner you need special Ukrainian "tax number" ( social security number) and a business bank account in Ukraine. This can be done by Ukraine lawyers for fee. Re Buildings : In Kyiv there are several types of buildings that were build in different times. The type that Johnny lives in is pre revolution apartments, most have been reinforced with metal beams between floors and so on, as these buildings have some historical value and add special 'good looking face' to the city . Next type is "hruchovka" style ( that was build almost until collapse of Soviet Union) , named after Nikita Hruchov... These buildings are small, fast build with pre-made walls, not as sound proof. The kitchen, for example, can be 5m x 5m. Whomever builds a yurt has his/her spirit permanently imbedded on/in the yurt. The key is, the individual must hold the supporting pole while the form is constructed around it.
Should have just sprayed some on a cloth, and wipe down door rubbers! Also, you should look into auto start function if you can have one added to car..
If you use a car cover, you won't see any damage, until you lift off the cover. Critters can crawl under it to keep warm. Just keep to a schedule of driving it to lube the engine and top off the battery. Get a big 2023 wall calender and mark the days when this needs to be done, hang it on the fridge so you see most often, and will remind you.
Never heard of "winterize" before lol. Don't worry, it's hilarious that in turn I'm starting to struggle speaking my native language German with my parents in the meantime ... guess I'm watching too much English TH-cam.
This is a important thing to talk about. Racism is everywhere. But it is rarely prevalent or strong. In my experience it is mostly discomfort with anyone who seems different. There were early reports of racism during the evacuation of Kiev. It looked like young adult males of Indian and African descent complaining Ukrainian women and children could cut in line for the train out. I believe most of the reports of racism are russian propaganda. Слава Україні

When I've heard "Carlos" I've thought he was Brazilian... This is a very-very-common name in Brazil, "Roberto Carlos" is a Brazilian Soccer Player and There's also a very-famous singer in Brazil with this name, BTW, we don't speak Spanish, but Portuguese... It's a bit similar, we can understand Spanish, but not the same definitely =)
Johnny, see if you can get the “say hi” app it’s free and I found it great when trying to communicate with Ukrainians.
Johnny, anytime welcome to Qazaqstan!
Slava Ukraine!
✌️💙💛
Never heard of "winterize" before lol.
Don't worry, it's hilarious that in turn I'm starting to struggle speaking my native language German with my parents in the meantime ... guess I'm watching too much English TH-cam.
Thanks again mate I love your videos . Keep safe .
Stay warm and safe Johnny, I appreciate you sharing your life in Ukraine. Slava Mongolia
Why it's 'slave' now? xD
@@Helda_Ilweranta What do you mean? LOL
@@chubbawubba4287 you just changed it, didn't you?
@@Helda_Ilweranta Yes
This is a important thing to talk about.
Racism is everywhere. But it is rarely prevalent or strong. In my experience it is mostly discomfort with anyone who seems different.
There were early reports of racism during the evacuation of Kiev. It looked like young adult males of Indian and African descent complaining Ukrainian women and children could cut in line for the train out.
I believe most of the reports of racism are russian propaganda.

Washing your car, even in the winter is not silly. You should set a goal to wash it every month and make sure you drive it a bit after sp it's dry after you wash it.
Did you end up buying the Lada?
Your friend at the end of the video with blond hair and green coat could seriously go in to modeling.
Hello Johnny
Just curious.... are there police enforcement as far as speeding, etc?
Yes. But it’s mostly with speed cams. Tickets go straight to my Kyiv resident app. It’s actually really good.
Once a month, TH-cam actually gives me a notification that I asked for.
The young man at 32:41 looks like a model.
He is gorgeous!😍 single?
Mongolian warrior if finally home!
Put some w40 inside key holes and doors every where is a rubber, w40 is so good for everything it won't harm your car no matter where you put it, hope i can help out, have nice day, El viejo, the old man, Lowell massachusetts !
I just wish you would buy a LADA (as a second car) and drive it for that authentic Ukrainian experience!
Cars Zaporozhets or ZAZ were produced in Ukraine and would give the most authentic Ukrainian experience. Lada / Zhiguli are made in Togliatti factory in Russia.
@@ortolitore1522 Ahh spaseba, I was thinking Lada was soviet so it was all good. If not then yeah my mistake, find the Ukrainian version!
@@salemsmith2878 That's ok, the production of Zaporozhets was ended many years ago anyway. It was a funny and nice car (especially the old model) with the air-cooled motor in the back and without seat belts. It used low-octane fuel.
