The Kharkiv videos are my favourites, even though the recent ones are really painful to watch. I hope you can get back when you wish, I think part of your Ukrainan identiy is in Kharkiv, as you went there before, you seem really happy with your experiences here. I think 5 y from now this city will be even more beautiful and cultural. You know, like artists who undergo dark periods in their life, they are the most creative and makes most beauty. Kharkiv will rise from its ashes 🙏🏽🙏🏽

First, you will get used to the cold. Second, to do that you need to buy a Columbia or NorthFace jacket for -40C. You don't need to spend more than a few hundred dollars, if not less for the correct coat. After you've spent a couple of winters in a row in the winter, your blood vessels will lay deeper under your skin and you'll be more muscular. It will be easier to be cold.

The guy was clearly a handyman, not a skilled carpenter or roofer. His work may be functionally fine but it looks really sloppy. I'm particularly concerned about the work he did to patch the roof. He used old rusty corrugated metal, which looks terrible, instead of new corrugated to repair the roof, and considering the sloppiness of his work who knows how well he sealed the edges: I guess rainstorms will see if it leaks. At some point, I recommend you have a skilled roofer rip out the rusty corrugated and put in new corrugated, and paint it to match the adjacent corrugated roofing. And have a skilled carpenter rip out the room ceiling patch and do a proper job of repairing it to match the rest of the ceiling tiles. As for the counter sides, looks like that needs sanding and repainting. All in all, the work the handyman did will hopefully function well as temporary fixes until you can get skilled people in to redo the work.

Johnny, all you have to do is buy a jacket corresponding to the weather. It's not about not being strong as Ukrainian😌) It's about taking winter seriously😬. I get cold very easily and my winter clothes are better than those of a polar bear and I abandon all thoughts of wanting to be beautiful and sh*t like that))) It's survival. You do what you gotta do) I remember one guy said my sweater was like his granny's and I literally didn't care as that day in Kharkiv it was rare minus 27C temperature. And I have yet to see a single really warm sweater on you. Oh, and warm shoes and socks too. Just equip yourself and you will be able to enjoy winter in Ukraine more, I guarantee.
For example, we bought for my husband a thick jacket in Under Armour in Kyiv's Gulliver. It was around 100-150 dollars (before the invasion though)

The sugar in your yogurt even if it is sugar free but sweet will cause a change in your insulin and cause fat to be stored. I have my noodles too that are a variety of Korean spicy noodles but haven't touched them cause I'm on a no carb no sugar no processed no sweetener low fruit sugar diet. Oranges are okay.
Better to have plain unsweetened yogurt and add low sugar fruits like raspberries and blackberries. Instead of a noodle soup you could make a soup that uses eggs and Chinese cabbage, onions, bell peppers. That would be a very good no carb meal. Think out of the box and make soups with no noodles. An egg soup is way better for you than a package of Asian noodles. You could use the spice packet out of the Asian noodle soup and toss out the noodles.
I have either a can of mackerel, some grass fed ground beef, ground lamb or chicken. Grass fed beef is way more nutritious than regular beef. Pasture raised eggs are way more nutritious than unpasture raised chicken eggs. Organic is better because when a cow eats grains that have pesticides then you eat that in the beef fat; whereas, beef organically fed with grass makes clean fat and nutritious meat. Salmon and Mackerel are a good source of fish oil which is very healthy to eat and nutritious. Canned fish in extra virgin olive oil are good.
When I let my birds out to feed naturally their egg yolks are bright orange. When I feed them crumble their eggs are light yellow. When they have whole grains that aren't processed their eggs are a little bit better than light orange. Plus the yolks have aminos that are very good so sunny side up is best for undamaged best nutrition.
This sort of diet will remove fat from your organs and places that damage your body and makes your replacement cells better built. Our body replaces our cells and so the right nutrition makes for better replacement cells.

Let me get this straight, you bought two units in the Ukraine, and YOU can't handle the weather. SAD!

I wouldn’t have much confidence in that roof repair. It would be a shame to visit in a couple months and find a bunch of new water damage.

Johnny you need to have a professional company come in and do the repairs. Maybe the same one who did the renovations originally. You need to do this only after the war because your building could be hit again.
