Aside from the asymmetrical clipping in the Joyo.. the US Dream IS a clone of the Riot (with the switch in middle position). I compared both circuits. This is why people can't hear much difference at all.. unless they work for Suhr, obviously:)
They do sound more or less the same, but only if you run the Riot at 9v (It can go up to 18v for greater headroom) and keep the voice toggle in the center position. From what I've heard from people who use or have used the Us Dream, there is also a considerable difference in build quality, i.e. the Joyo won't last as long or take as much punishment as the Suhr. That being said, for people with modest needs and a modest budget, the Us Dream should be more than good enough.
mid range of joyo is a little higher and high range of suhr is a little higher. hovewer, it does not make suhr better. i think they have both quality sound. if they would have the same price, i would think which i need more; a little more treble, or a little more mid. but considering the price, i think suhr is an industrial waste... CLEVER MAN BUYS JOYO :)
Agree. I think I actually prefer the Joyo! It's definitely tighter, with a tiny bit more upper mids, at least with the settings used. Those pots underneath have a lot of manufacturing error, so putting them at the same setting on both only gets them close; if you really wanted to, you could probably dial them in to sound exactly the same.
Im a professional musician and Im listening to this through KRK monitors and honestly cant tell the difference. .... I mean you can hear that somethings changed but I couldnt possibly start to decipher which is better. Maybe it's different when you actually get to play around with them.
Us Dream sounded better smoother with both guitars. The Suhr sounded a bit more dryer, fuzzier to me. Riot pedals are ridiculously over priced and don't sound that good, if you want to pay that much get the Shiba Drive, they sound better.
The sound pretty similar!! I have started doing some stuff about this brand!! Check my channel to read some reviews and listen to some tests!! And visit my facebook account, where you will find some stuff about Joyo and Dr. J!!

Me too, I Just cannot hear the difference between then. Just if I work in Suhr.
There aren't too many purple pedals. It's fantastic to finally see some.
They could not be distinguishable in a band setting
I loved how US Dream sound, its my favorite.
Muy parecidos, el Riot es más definido, más seco.

I wonder if the Joyo pedal can run at 18 volts like the Riot can. The Riot sounds a whole lot better at 18 volts than it does at 9 volts.
Not a clone at all, we have had one for quite some time. I think judging by a TH-cam clip isn't going to tell you the whole story.
Sorry guys, but i can't hear the difference here... in a band settings or not, its the same sound...

I prefer the Joyo tone. Kmise make a clone of it for around 10 bucks cheaper.
There are some tiny differences, but can you hear them in the mix of a band?
compare the price, that's it. this is what the video tells us. buy a joyo pedal, it's cheaper and sounds like suhr riot.
I sold my riot and bought us dream since then never look back again on riot
Joyo sounds very good....and is cheaper too...

metal box
Mil veces el Riot. El Joyo se escucha mas brilloso y rasposo o irritante a mis oídos, cansa de solo oírlo.
Is the Joyo made from plastic or metal?
Boodgemeister metal
Si puedes comprarte el original... yo no
Riot +++++
I a-bd them myself UsS dream is no Riot
