    I'm a longtime fan of colonizing Venus first. It's so much easier than this Mars kick everyone seems to be on. In addition to the advantages mentioned, getting to Venus is as easy as falling towards the Sun, and since we plan to use balloons and air rather than heavy domes or bowl habitats to compensate for Mars sucking, our rockets also require less delta-v to get there while carrying larger payloads.
    The only exception I make is for Luna, not a planet. NASA's Deep-Space Gateway is their best idea in a long time. We can use smaller, more efficient launches to put together and supply larger craft in lunar orbit. If we ever get the SABRE (Synergistic Air-Breathing Rocket Engine) up to snuff, it would partner ideally, with reusable SSTO (Single-Stage-To-Orbit) spaceplanes carrying supplies and passengers to orbit more cheaply so they can be assembled in lunar orbit for a hyper-efficient launch window to Venus occurring several times per year, rather than every two years or so with Mars.

    Would it be possible to maintain a worm hole so we can "teleport"? Can you explain that, Blocko?

    • @SpinosaurusStudios_
      @SpinosaurusStudios_ 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If that were to exist then soon after we would invent the black worm hole where we would teleport from universe to universe, then we would have to rewrite physics, history, and then question "whats the meaning of line" then all realizing theres no point to living, and then collapse every universe to exist with us in it.
      Then again, if we send people without the thirst of fighting, we might survive. Hell, most of us would migrate to the Anime Universe.

    • @OniDemo
      @OniDemo 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why would we have to rewrite physics? the concept of a worm hole doesn't break it the laws of physics. Also why history and the meaning of life? That's not exactly relevant to the conversation of a wormhole.

    • @SpinosaurusStudios_
      @SpinosaurusStudios_ 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      we're entering another universe where things didn't happen. Hell, we could enter a universe where mammals never existed, have water be less dense than air, or even have religion exist.

    • @OniDemo
      @OniDemo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh you are talking about stuff that is essentially science fiction. Yes, if that turned out to be something that could happen and if a universe with such backward things were to exist our whole perception of reality would be warped. However i'd say that that is close to impossible for that to be the case.
      Also I'd say that there's also no evidence that another universe exists outside of the one we are in. It could be that there is only one universe that is infinite in size, but it could also be that the universe is finite. Either way we won't know for sure. It's not the same as finding out the earth isn't flat. We wont ever see the full picture of the Universe most likely if it is finite. Our species is not going to live that long based on data we've collected.

    I hate how companies like NASA have to pay to be able to possibly discover a huge step in humanity and the world. Or even to save the world e.g. They might have to pay to save the world from global warming, we should be working together to save our world, we shouldn't have to pay for things like that

    • @reenaki_art
      @reenaki_art 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes but scientists dont build those spaceships or mine the metal or anything, they simply design it. It takes hundreds of people to do so, and countless hours of labour. So not paying them would probably lead to not only civil war and protest, but also a nearly vertical upward spike in worldwide poverty since all these people are working for no payment. And if these people choose to not work then have fun mining those materials with scientists yourself
      and even then youll have to pay those scientists. They didnt go through mind boggling years of education and suffering for nothing. They deserve what they toiled for
      and dont give the "betterment for the universe" shit because you HAVE to pay them. If you dont they will just die of not being able to get food or basic living requirements
      and if NASA provides them these requirements, WELL NASA HAS TO PAY FOR THOSE REQUIREMENTS! And if suppose hypothetically people DID provide those requirements for free, again, repeat cycle, global poverty because you can easily assume its gonna be a fuckton of resources

Be careful of who you call dumb, I am currently an AP Physics student and I am passing that class with a high B, which if you’ve ever taken AP Physics is really hard to accomplish! The majority of students who do take that class end-up with a C and there’s nothing they can do about it, on top of all that it is quite literally the hardest AP class you can take in high school, meaning it’s the hardest class you can take in high school in general! Just think twice of just who you are calling dumb next time please!!

    I know the video is a year old but i wanna throw my hat in the ring... While the floating city/cities sounds cool we would have to regularly stay alert as the city may fall at any second seeing how if something were to malfunction or we weren't getting enough power well.. lets say more than just dreams are gonna get crushed...
    Yes if we can make endless energy we'd be fine but there is still the thing of malfuctions. Technology will never be perfect. Ever, and if someone was to stop monitering the systems for even a second that's more than enough time for a malfunction. If counter balances can work before we can get started on being squished like a bug on pavement then hooray were good but it better be one heck of a backup generator or something.
    Then there's the problem of more isn't always better. Sure we make alot of energy... But what happens when that energy overflows and starts causing the malfunctions. We'd need a support system because if one problem pops up we might die, i would say support beams but with crushing atmosphere that would most likely be a lost cause... Honestly it's troubling while i don't think coloninzing another planet is bad what i do think is a bad idea is doing it to venus that way.... Maybe im overthinking something really simple... Maybe im being dumb but there are too many variables to consider for a floating city over a nonforgiving atmosphere
