It's kinda silly and vacuous to try to crown somebody as the best guitarist of all time, but I think Tarrega is my favorite of all time. Every piece he wrote is just so beautiful, and I struggle to find examples of such brilliant melodic work on guitar prior to him, much as I love many of his predecessors.
@@danclark3377 Nice try.. mindless and vacuous are basically synonymous. I always find myself wondering why I use "college words," since it appears that most people have a very limited vocabulary in English. 😂
It's an unfortunate truth. This level of sopisticated beauty is simply no longer appreciated enough these days. So I count myself lucky to know that I have found a gem here, and can enjoy it's delicate perfection.
Beautiful, what more can be said. In the right hands the classical guitar is capable of such expression, and here we see it in the right hands! A famous person in the guitar world once said" there is nothing as beautiful as the classical guitar, save perhaps two". Thank you!
So, so beautiful! My mother, who went to heaven 11 years ago, loved Recuerdos De La Alhambra. She would cry every time she heard it. I asked her one time why she cried every time she heard it. She said she didn't know why. It just had that effect on her. Consequently, it is my favorite guitar piece of all time! (Though I do not have the same automatic reaction.) Thank you for posting these. They are ALL beautiful! And you play them with such exquisite skill!
Thanks once again for the richnes, clarity, and depth of feeling in your performances Beatrix. It's wonderful to have this group of Tarrega favorites together.🙂👍
I have a Tarrega guitar. I really love it. it was made in 1964 in Sweden. it sounds really good. I haven't played classical music on it because I don't know how. I have played some Led Zeppelin on it however.
These are all amazing. I'm new to classical guitar and have found all of your content so helpful, from posture to nails. I was so happy when I mentioned your videos and my professor approved 😊 Thanks for helping make my transition much easier.
Simply amazing! I'm an amateur guitarist myself, and as much as I love the rock and blues, my Spanish heritage and appreciation for the history of the instrument often brings me back to these beautiful pieces. This level of fingerstyle and classical techniques makes the guitar look like an almost entirely different instrument. Your endless hours of practice and discipline are more than apparent in your beautiful rendition of these Tárrega pieces. Fantastically done!
My goodness, your Capricho Arabe is magnificent. Such a beautiful rendition and played "con molto affettuoso". So many players rush this but yours was perfect. I really enjoyed it, thank you 🙂
having seen your fantastic interview with Alexandra W i have discovered your beautiful playing style I look forward to seeing more of your performances
Only listened to you play 2 pieces and another video about "in 10 minutes" well 15 actually haha, but joking aside, I find your playing most exquisite. The phrasing, interpretation, sensitivity, dynamics, everything. Leave me wanting to hear more...and yeah... nice job!
Sat in bed with a cup of cocoa & an improving book, chilling to someone who really knows what they’re doing. Massive thank you. That tremolo picking at 8:45 sounds super clean 🤯👍
💫Your fingers weave melodies that speak to the soul through those strings. A true guitar maestro!💮

Does vacuous mean it sucks? As in vacuum
F.Sor, N.Coste, D.Aguado, M.Giuliani are very perfect guitar composers, too.

It's wonderful to be able to quickly check a spelling or a definition on Google.
Idk have you heard of Agustin Barrios Mangore
Respect for evry player keeping his music alive
I don't know y these videos doesn't get a million + views!!! Its true that great things in the world has very little respect left!

They will, just give them time.

Soberbio. Hermosa Beatrix.
There is actually nothing wrong with slow played pieces of music, so much more meaningful, with such in depth emotion.
