I worked with an old school conductor called Bill Glossop, he came from Ambergate in Derbyshire. He told me about "Barmy Reg" ! We were both on BR Southern Region, I recall he was a great bloke, and we were always laughing. Sadly, Bill's gone now. I doubt he'd last on today's PC railway mind, and I'm glad I am no longer on the railway.
