Good advice here. Especially about asking people about themselves and getting them to talk about themselves. The most frustrating part of conversations in my experience is having the ability to generate conversation over narrow-ended questions but everyone I talk to lacks the same ability. If someone asks me "How I'm doing?" "How was my day?" or "What's up?" I know how to give a response that keeps the convo going rather than cutting it off to just "Fine," "Ok," and "Not much," the problem is that the majority of the people I talk to don't know how to give the same responses. And yes, before anyone calls me out, I also use wide-ended questions like the ones referred to in this video, but I'm referring to the times when those narrow-ended questions come up and it's time for the person on the other end to either keep the conversation going or let it die.
Solid advice for guys all around. I just moved into town 3 weeks ago. Alrdy have a gym buddy. She approached me and asked me to get in a set while I was not using the bench. I thought this is confidence n bit unusual. So I checked on her later to c if she was looking my way. She was later on✅Soooo I had to say something/anything to her n I did. N I did again on her way out, n the next day I saw her again n said hi, n asked her the workout routine for the day which I already knew the answer 🤣🦾 Be yourself b confident n have something "interesting" to say or common ground.
You got to be careful with questions though. Too many and/or not of the right type will end up sounding like a job interview which is a turn off. The goal is to search for common interests. However you also got to master story telling and become a world class comedian.

Check out the example I provide. Conversational starters - I recommend the conversational starter: "What's your story?" It lets the person talk about themselves, and they can tell you anything they want. It works with everyone you want to connect with, and I used this starter with my wife when I met her. Connect their information to you - after they've told you information about themselves, use this information and connect it to something personal about yourself to share a common bond. It's about being perceptive, listening to what they're telling you, and asking the right open-ended questions to get them to divulge something. Practice! - the more you practice, the better off you will get. Practice with people that you run into throughout your day. You don't necessarily need to find them fascinating or want to connect with them later. However, these interactions give you practice so that you will have an incredible conversation when you meet somebody you want to connect with. The more practice you get, the more perceptive you'll be. You'll be able to read people in a nonverbal communicating way.
“What’s your story” is usually a great tester because most ladies freeze when they feel like they’ve been put on the spot to talk about themselves. Aka red flag, broken damaged woman… move on.
Why should you worry about being the only one interesting in the conversation? If she's interested in you she needs to put in the effort during the conversation as well.

Very true. There have been times when a girl replies to me with "lol ok" those girls are clearly not interested so I just stop talking. Then there are other girls that send me full length essays. Conversation is a two-way street and if one isn't participating in the convo then there's no point.

Practice! - the more you practice, the better off you will get. Practice with people that you run into throughout your day. You don't necessarily need to find them fascinating or want to connect with them later. However, these interactions give you practice so that you will have an incredible conversation when you meet somebody you want to connect with. The more practice you get, the more perceptive you'll be. You'll be able to read people in a nonverbal communicating way.

“What’s your story” is usually a great tester because most ladies freeze when they feel like they’ve been put on the spot to talk about themselves. Aka red flag, broken damaged woman… move on.

Why should you worry about being the only one interesting in the conversation? If she's interested in you she needs to put in the effort during the conversation as well.

100% the moment i feel it's a one-way street, bye bye. If i am the only one who needs to keep asking questions to keep the convo going, while she couldnt care less, it's just a waste of time.
Very true. There have been times when a girl replies to me with "lol ok" those girls are clearly not interested so I just stop talking. Then there are other girls that send me full length essays.
Conversation is a two-way street and if one isn't participating in the convo then there's no point.
