That was very kind of you to show us the machine. It's most definitely going on my wish list. BTW...your nails are on point thanks for that link as well.
Im convinced I need one now ! I make cake toppers and sometimes there are those thin lettering that it’s so hard to use dot tape or glue it gets messy ! This is a life saver
I'm glad you tried stickerizing the laminated picture! I want laminated repositionable/removable stickers so I was hoping it would work that way too, since they don't have the removable adhesive + laminated option in cartridges!
A note this machine will let you use the 3" cartridges too so if you have any or they may be found cheaper and you know you will be using up 3" tape which allows you to make less waste then buy it because you can definitely load 3" cartridges too. I'm not sure how that goes. I only have the 5" so far but will definitely be buying the 3" at times. I do a lot of die cutting and was making small cut outs through thick white card stock precut tags. And they needed some glittering and shimmer and turns out if you run them through the Xyron adhesive side tape you can add the glitter or flocking etc. and have less mess than if you were using liquid glue etc. Anyway there are techniques to remove the webbing of adhesive left between the blank areas of a die cut that's more intricate with open areas. That's done by sending through an embossing machine with thin embossing rubber sheet and thin acrylic or plastic sheeting and that sheeting then takes up the adhesive web and voila you have a clean intricate die to use. But my point is the precut out dies often are under 3" so it makes sense to buy the less expensive cartridges and have less waste overall. Also sometimes when you can not locate the refills go to Xyron's web page and they have them in stock. And I think but not sure if you have an Amazon account you can check out via your Amazon Account pay and address set up. Don't hold me to that but I think so. Thank you Amber for your wonderful reviews of your machine today. I've had mine less than a week now and have not fully used it. It came prefilled with full 5" size cartridge so I'm just staying with it but enjoying all the hacks and interesting things you can do beside the basic making a sticker out of anything. I now can avoid sticking up my metal dies too when before I had to apply double stick tape to card-stock and then run it through the die machine with die to cut it out. That would gunk up my dies like cutting too much adhesive stickers and tape with your scissors. Even your non stick scissors gets a build up over time. This little machine helps you avoid that I'm off to play some more and watch your of your wonderful videos to. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing and reviewing! I have the mini Xyron, it’s like an X and always wished I had a bigger one. I used your link and found there is a gold one from Anna Griffin, SOLD! So excited to receive this!
Great video. I ordered the larger one as it accepts the refills for this one you reviewed and for the larger ones for which it was made for. You can make the larger projects stickers magnets as well as smaller ones.
Hello Amber, I recently bought a creative station. My question is ... I ran some cardstock through the xyron and when I tried to remove the paper so that it had a sticky back, it would not release from the adhesive leaving a layer of cardstock behind. Do you have any idea what is happening?
Amber...I ordered the Xyron 510 from Ebay. Which cartridge do I get to make stickers? Will the repositionable adhesive work for stickers? What about the laminate and permanent adhesive? I am confused!
Cheryl Lemons anything with adhesive should make a sticker, I use the regular permanent adhesive catridge, but all should work! The laminate will have a laminate over top!
My friend works at a print shop and she says that this is basically a tiny version of what they use for different lamination. If it's good enough for professionals it's good enough for me.
Thank you for sharing this. I saw it on your other video and was interested in it. May have to buy my own. I also want to thank you for the info you provide on Thursdays. I always enjoy that. How do you find out which store will have a certain product? I was especially wondering about the new Layered Florals sticker book. Also, I subscribed to your friend JoJo's channel. Thanks for all you do!!
Cheryl Lemons I have no doubt you will love it! Such a great overall machine! I can’t wait for tomorrow’s episode, it’ll be a fun one with the be happy box! If you look on their website under the product it’ll tell you the store (layered florals is going to Michael’s
No, this would be the regular paper that you put in feel; but made into a sticky back. They do sell a laminated and sticker combo option that should be available in the link provided (affiliate link). Just look for the option called laminate adhesive vs the regular perment adhesive!

I'm getting one in a few weeks. I'm so excited.

this was so helpful thank you
i wander can i make labels for glass candles
Probably, it does make paper into stickers. You would need a separate printer to print off the designs
Do they make a UV laminate refill?
Yes they should!
can this be used to make nail decals / stickers?
Hmm I’m not too sure, it probably could because it makes pretty strong stickers, and with a top coat I’m sure it would last a little while.
if i was to make a sticker with this, would it have a laminate on top

Does it finish glossy/shiny like a regular sticker or does it just come out how you put it in with adhesive on the back?
It comes out like you put it in, so just regular paper
@@AmberPlansHerDay I see, thanks for clarifying!
I hope you’ve learned to not waste as much of the paper as you did since this video. ☺️
