I was surprised to see a plastic go through the rollers to make a word sticker! helpful demo! and how neat that you can select and place 3" or 5" cartridge in just one machine.

Does it come out with a protective finish on the front?
It depends which cartridge you use. If you just use adhesive, then no. If you use the laminating one, or the laminate plus adhesive, yes. The laminate plus magnet will put the plastic finish on top, also.

unsuccessful with felt: what is maximum tickness that can run through rollers? (i would think even one sheet of printed felt would be too thick).
I'm not sure. The felt wasn't too thick, it just wasn't firm enough.

I don't remember if I had the magnet cartridge at this point yet. But I plan to do it soon! I've used it for business cards.
