Would love to hear your thoughts on which design you like for the bedroom wing! And don't forget- to get a 1 year supply of Vitamin D + 5 individual travel packs FREE with your first purchase, go to athleticgreens.com/wildwonderful
I think the additional bedrooms wing should be kept same original design & if you change design of the structure would not look as good. Then what do I know...can surprise me at your best choice for your family. I have watched all your videos & enjoy your progress..BTW happy Memorial day weekend.
I would keep the finishing materials the same and proportions same/like what is build already. I think most of the designs you showed would be fine than. But thats just me... 😅 I have always told my cliënts (when is was a independent designer) when they love it, i'm happy. So go for what you two love!! You are living in it.
The last one you were working on looked very nice. I could see that blending in nicely with the A frame. It is huge but like any space it doesn't take long to fill it up. Love the solar post lights.
This past year my wife and I sold our house and moved back home to southern Colorado. Bought 12 acres and built a small guest cabin on it to live in. Doing all the work ourselves. The main house is next. I just turned 61 and can't tell you what an inspiration you both are.
Beautiful family god bless you all nice artistry that's taki g place building your beautiful place ,, love it fresh veggies happy llambs and the pooch , and beautiful family, a lots love , it shows when ever your integrating with each other Zoe
God there is nothing better than busting my butt all day and forgetting it is either Sunday, or Wednesday and sitting down, opening TH-cam and WWOG is at the top. So happy for you guys And I loved the double balconies that were offset, top one was a wrap around. My personal opinion, it take the eye away from the transition points. I'm sure no matter which one you guys choose it will look amazing
I’m 71 this Tuesday and each time I see your new uploads they tug at my heart. You’re living the dream I once had but was never able to make happen.. You guys are so smart, stay focused on being self contained, the world is becoming more difficult as you know,, Peace and Love to you all…. DC
I have been watching your videos for 3 years now. I just can't believe that Erin was carrying Ellie on her back when you 2 were pouring the foundation. Now she is so tall and such a good helper. Love watching your family!
You two and crew always leave me with a smile. The vids are always stellar. It's amazing what two people can do when they work together with love and respect. And you also have 3 helpers plus Leon coming along and they will be more and more help as they grow. My favorite youtube channel. Hands down. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride!
Important notice, I`m 75% sure that the catterpiller you showed in the last video is Thaumetopea processionea. It lives in oaks and does bring some serious health issues via contact or inhaling of their hairs. These are the issues they bring serious rashes , often allergical reactions, Trouble breathing and throat ache. I would recommend getting your local tree service to take a look at it. I hope this helps, best wishes Treeworker from Germany.
What a lucky guy, seriously.. smart, funny, gorgeous wife, beautiful kids experiencing a wholesome, family-oriented lifestyle and an amazing, soon to be 99% off-grid homestead with a self-built, very cool, very homey yet high-tech A-frame. What else can you ask for in the midst of such uncertain times. Literally living the dream.. he might call it 'working the dream' but if you love what you do you'll never work a day of your life
Your channel has become an addiction you guys make me forget about the craziness in the world. I've laughed and cried while watching your presence grow online over the years - thank you
Bars of soap, wfill definitely keep the deers away ,,specially if you want flowers around your front yard put some sticks with some stinky soap i guaranteed that they will stay away just a simple tip ,,, Zoe
2nd comment on this channel! I don't comment very often, but y'all are an inspiration to people and families everywhere! If more families were like yours, there would be less crime in the world, more loving families and a better DRIVE for our children to strive for something! Keep up the great work and I'll keep watching! It's an honor to see what a family could be in this day and age! I can only Imagine the knowledge and values that you're instilling in your kids!
The beauty of 'trial and error' is that if you see this as a lesson learned you will never make that mistake. WOW!! How far you've come in 4 years. Beautiful. Happy Memorial day.
Your house and farm build are great. But your family build is the greatest. You are training parents how to be good, responsible and loving parents. God bless you for your mission.
Personally i would've put the hot wire on the bottom (of the 2 new wires). If a raccoon climbs the fence it will go between the top of the fence and under the first wire. Probably won't even touch the top (hot wire). Place is looking great btw! :)
I just drank my AG1 drink. I feel really good. Go, Ellie, Go Ellie! She is such a hard worker and then she gets distracted playing with, the pretty stones, then she's back at it. Carter has taken over the farm chores, awesome. Hayden does a great job keeping Ellie busy and helping Carter. Great job kids, since your parents are soooo lazy. Haha, When you're done with these projects, what are going to do the rest of the year? haha Thanks again for sharing Stay safe Love you guys
I see in your future Josh and Erin a series of children's books about Chuck the wonder dog, Regal and Stately Leon"don't ever tell Leon that or his ego will get bigger", and also the story of Gander the guard goose, who shows that there is a purpose in life if given the chance.
I can hardly wait for the bedroom addition. It's been a learning experience for me to watch your building. And how big your children are getting. My deepest condolences on your dog. Chuckie. 🙏🙏.
Looking very nice good job on the lawn Josh what a beautiful life you all have made for yourselves it warms my heart to see three beautiful kids laughing and supporting each other Josh,Erin what a magnificent job in parenting you both are doing till next week 👏🇺🇸
An absolute wonderful example in every video of being present for the journey and enjoying ever step of the way even though the end goal is so exciting...the end goal does not mean that where you are right now isn't wonderful or that somehow now is less than the future. Such valuable lessons.
Great video! I love the way you film the smallest of miracles on the farm. The caterpillar the ladybug. Sometimes it's a small things that make the world beautiful!
Hiding eggs... sweetest ever. The garden is coming along. Hoping you're going for raised beds so you can put wire against the underground critters. Make them tall enough and wide enough so planting will get easier as you age... can't wait for the new wing and stonework ... Love spending time with you all.
Ellie is so looking like her Mom... she's going be one pretty young lady... but for now she gets to play in the dirt with her parents blessings. And Leon is as charming as ever.
I use to lay concrete! The pea stone you used as base gravel is great to put on the surface of your sidewalks and patios. What you do is pour the concrete, level out. Spread thin layer of pea stone over top, then float into top, bringing the cream to top covering stone. Float out as sets up, edging, and cutting expansion joints. After all done spray etching chemical which comes in five gal. container from lawn sprayer over the whole surface, and cover with plastic over night. In the next morning you take garden hose, spray off surface. It will remove all the cream you brought to top, leaving the beautiful pea stone on top. Spray sealer over it, and enjoy a natural smooth surface to walk on. It feels great in bare feet, and rough enough not to slip on. Wish I could show examples, but you can look it up. God Bless, and keep the dreams alive!
Hey Gang, just saw you have some new neighbors, the Morgan family, good hard working people, looking forward to seeing you guys together, Your new addition looks great and big, lots of work ahead for you, I'm sure it includes a In-Law-Suit, you never know what the future has in store for a close nit family like yours, Great Posting, God's Good Blessings to you and your beautiful family keep up the great work love U guys XOXOXO stay safe and healthy
Can’t wait to see the start of that first foundation dig, the excitement of breaking through the topsoil for the first time on the bedroom wing of the house, will be awesome
Hey there, Martie from Florida. I'm new to your channel. I appreciate and enjoy each project with your highs and lows you've seem to grasp just what the meaning of life you've earned and deserved. Your family has been a welcoming addition to my life as well. So thank you for sharing your journey's and your life. Love sharing your videos. Continue to Take care of each other. Stay safe and be well.
She is a little Angel .you must be so proud of all your kids ? Hard work builds character and self confidence.. God really blessed West Virginia when you guys made it better..
Your little girl is getting so big and beautiful like her mama. This is what I have been waiting for the master addition I am so excited. How wonderful it must beeb to see your dream come and building it together and it great.
*Wow, have watched from beginning....was better than any TV program during pandemic THANX! Back to busy normal life, haven't had time to watch in few months YOU'VE DONE SO MUCH IN PAST SIX MONTHS 👍LOOKS FANTASTIC!!!* I'm so happy to hear your starting the bedroom wing... can't wait to see it finished.
What ever makes you happy and comfortable, I think the bedroom build makes the original A-frame look like an add-on. Aesthetic to me would keep the bedroom and original roofs the same height and with the A-frame extending to the bedroom and meeting at the peak. The add on looks boxy to me. The A-frame extension would have to be scalloped to fit with the bedroom. Thank you for the video.
It would look good from the outside, but there won't be enough windows to provide light inside the bedroom wing and views to the outside. The problem with A frames is most of the light comes from the end.
Bonjour.
You and your family are so awesome. It should inspire all families to be all they can be for their kids, animals and to each other. I am so excited to see the bedroom side of your house come together. Ya'll are so hard working and whatever blessings come your way you are so deserving. To me you are the best site on YT.
I’ve never posted on your videos before but they are the best of my subscriptions on TH-cam. The quality of the videos is amazing. I wish I could have the energy you guys have! Keep up the amazing work!
I've been watching since the beginning and love everything you have accomplished as a family - just wondering when the epic playground is going up ;) ...
Your extensions plans look SO like the Tudor farm manager’s house I grew up in. It serviced the reinstatement of a Catholic Elizabethan Estate home after the original family 420 years ago was forgiven for housing the fleeing wives of the Gunpowder plot. It was further extended during the Victorian Industrial Revolution. You should include a few modern day “Priest Holes”. Could come in useful…. And your daughter will LOVE them! I’ll never forget discovering a tunnel in my family home that began in one of the attics next to a chimney with stairs that wrapped around the central chimney then underground for half a mile to the Elizabethan stately home up to behind a state bedroom wardrobe. I’m not allowed to say what was found in the tunnel other than the stalactites… Be Wild Wonderful…
It’s looking better and better every day, y’all. This is a good year to get the extra food production started too, what with the crazy inflation and potential for scarcity. God bless!
Things are really rolling, glad to see everything seems to be moving forward well. A happy Memorial Day shout out to all who have served and sacrificed for our nation, as well as to all who still serve, thank you for your service! In memory of my father, and in appreciation to my two sons. Just wish social media sites didn't have such a problem expressing their appreciation.
That green grass is making all your beautiful work POP!!! Way to go!!! It is so nice to see a plan come together. Thank you for sharing and letting us be a part of your miracle.
Those electricians channel locks. Let’s face it y’all would probably still be in the RV without them….lol. The house, the fence, what are they not needed for….lmao Respect to the electricians channel locks….
Another wonderful episode. Find myself sitting smiling as I watch each one. Frankie the egg collector finishing a close second in the garden race. Love to watch how you adapt to little challenges that come up like the gate opening. Erin: We are constantly moving the goal post. Great stuff.

Design D would be my choice, it's looking really good with the front portion of the house. Just my 2 cents:)

I admire that none of the kids are scared of work, but still have the opportunity to be kids. The best of both worlds.
Do they have any friends?
Beautiful family god bless you all nice artistry that's taki g place building your beautiful place ,, love it fresh veggies happy llambs and the pooch , and beautiful family, a lots love , it shows when ever your integrating with each other Zoe
I'd go with a small winter garden between the original and the new addition, making the new addition also an A-frame.
I have a porch off my bedroom. You will never regret having a private porch!!!!
Hello Barbara how are you

Amazing how ordinary folk can make these amazing short diy videos far more engaging than a lot of the droll we see on most home & garden shows on tv.
Seeing little Ellie glow with her parent's praise (around 4 mins) was just beautiful. THAT'S the way to raise a child.
Your channel has become an addiction you guys make me forget about the craziness in the world. I've laughed and cried while watching your presence grow online over the years - thank you

Ellie makes me smile every time. Such a joyful child.
The beauty of 'trial and error' is that if you see this as a lesson learned you will never make that mistake. WOW!! How far you've come in 4 years. Beautiful. Happy Memorial day.
Hang some tape off the top wire at intervals to be an extra warning to deer who want to jump over.
Erin, the way you always enrich your videos with myriads of atmospheric cutaways is one of the things that makes them so watchable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
🎶 “ this is the good life.” 🎶. Perfect background music with the kids smiling ear to ear.
It's so fulfilling to share in your accomplishments. Thank you
Hello Laure 👋 how are you doing
the house is comin together, the grass ,garden, also comin together....even JOSH'beard comin together....love you all
Your house and farm build are great. But your family build is the greatest. You are training parents how to be good, responsible and loving parents. God bless you for your mission.
Thank you for respecting the "Dark Sky's" with the lights that shine down onto the area you want illuminated:)
glad to see the black cat recovered so good, great work to save him. I love dog's and cat's, for that matter all animals and foul.
You guys have come a long, long way, I started watching way back when you first broke ground, who knew it would turn out this nice?
Personally i would've put the hot wire on the bottom (of the 2 new wires). If a raccoon climbs the fence it will go between the top of the fence and under the first wire. Probably won't even touch the top (hot wire). Place is looking great btw! :)

The music was especially beautiful today.

99.5% terrific episode. Had to ding you half a point for Josh's blue channel locks.
you mean your "channel locks, famous do all tool" and make it all work together. I love you guys.
Frankie the Egg Smuggler🤣😂😅😭 You just made my day✌️✌️✌️✌️

Starts with a dream. TY folks.
Frankie was so cute with the eggs. He was holding his face down like he was saddened for being caught. Poor little guy.

YIPPPEEE LOVE YOUR TITLE I have been waiting for the Bedroom Wing for a long time. God's blessing to you ALL.

I think you will appreciate the two Balcony version in years to come. It gives it all a modern twist
10:58 "Bedroom wing" - man, that is one BIG wing! Can't wait to see it take shape!
So psyched you're starting on Your Wing!
It's just going to be your room and en suite?
Because of the love and respect within this family..this became my number one channel.
You have such beautiful long hair. I love the new haircut, it must be easier to manage with all the work that you've been doing. Nice color as well.
Oh that is so sweet what a precious delightful little girl
It’s looking better and better every day, y’all. This is a good year to get the extra food production started too, what with the crazy inflation and potential for scarcity. God bless!
Things are really rolling, glad to see everything seems to be moving forward well. A happy Memorial Day shout out to all who have served and sacrificed for our nation, as well as to all who still serve, thank you for your service! That green grass is making all your beautiful work POP!!! Way to go!!! It is so nice to see a plan come together. Thank you for sharing and letting us be a part of your miracle.
I love watching the progression of your off grid dream.
