*Just a tip for the lamb* I follow a channel 'sheepishly me" and when her lambs have weak joints/ legsshe places a paint roller or pvc pipe around the leg like a splint (she cuts them lengrh wise in half) and vet wraps it for a few days. It works every time ❤️
Split a 2” PVC in half wrap both legs with towels use the PVC as splints and cut to leg lengths and wrap in a few places with duct tape. Make sure the towel extends over top of PVC so it doesn’t irritate the lambs skin, in a few days she should have the strength to walk a bit but may need splinting part time until strength is built up in fore legs…. Best of luck, it’s fairly common and can be caused from positioning in the w9mb

I use to use the cardboard center of a toilet paper roll, or cut a paper towel one in half and slide it over the weak knee joint. Put just enough cloth tape on the ends to hold it in place. Usually in a couple days the cardboard roll would just fall off ftom getting wet. But most of the time they only need a few days support. You can also split the cardboard and squeeze it around tighter if it's just too big, and tape it in place.
My wife doesn’t sit and watch my TH-cam channels that I like. But, she watched today and we love Ellie!! So darned cute and loving her animals. Such a good helper too.

Two tips. . .You need addional concrete when using a pump; for the pump itself and the length of hose you will be using during the placement. When building forms for piers use banding iron and clamps instead of screws and 2x4's to hold the form together. The banding iron can be cut after the concrete sets, and the plywood falls away, it can be re-used again and again for pier forms. Keep up the good work, the end is closer every day!
By the time summer comes the walls will be up and the roof will be on , its very exciting watching you guys , Ellie is in tune with those animals and nature she is blessed .

i had the same problem with a lamb but its back hooves were curled under made it splints out of pipe wrap foam kind and it was doing fine but found it dead in a barn stall about 3weeks later its so hard to loose one because soon as they are born you love them all. I pray God heals it

Hi been watching and you’re pretty good but I would have used structural foam, comes in 4’ lengths, 8,10,12” I bel in thickness and you only need to assemble like tinker toys. Plus you get a hell of a solid F5 proof structure and very warm when done
Weirdly I just watched a woman help her little newborn lamb with the same problem, she put tp roles on the front legs and secured them with vet tape, by the next full day lamb was good to go. Good luck with your wee bairn.☘️❤️🤗
I work with concrete. That smoothing is called screeding. Next slab put grade stakes down in the center of the pour to help you keep grade. Not a know it all just trying to help. Good job.

For the small lamb with weak front legs. It appears to be mostly the right leg, you might want to have a look at this vlog of a Canadian sheep farmer Sandi Brock on TH-cam, Vlog 149 (How I casted broken & deformed legs on newborn lambs). She shows how she treats broken and weak limbs and approximately how long it takes to heal.. Her method of using easy to find casting supplies in your household is ingenious. This should strengthen the leg. If it does not, you may have to call in your vet.
i remember when we had baby lams in the past (30 years ago) we also had this problem sometimes. To assist those lams, the vets always used the round tube isolation (for isolation of waterpipes) and put it around each front leg, and duct tape the isolation stuck so the front knees are fixed and the tube will not fall off. after some weeks the lams are strong enoughj and the isolation can be removed. I know it looks stupid, but for what i remember, it always had good results.
I’ve said it before Erin is a smokeshow 10/10 plus shes hilarious and a hard worker. Needle in a haystack is easy to find next to her. Josh kuddos hats off to you!
One way to optimize there subfloor area is by building their own versions of a flat furniture dolly or even wheeled storage bins that can be rolled around on. Everything from odd hardware to holiday decor can ride around under their feet and instead of just box after box being shoved in they can pulled to them on a leash of sorts. Indeed the trick is to have all there casters be able to pivot 360' and they can even be linked together so what they hold can be in the same category. 🤔

To assist those lams, the vets always used the round tube isolation (for isolation of waterpipes) and put it around each front leg, and duct tape the isolation stuck so the front knees are fixed and the tube will not fall off. after some weeks the lams are strong enoughj and the isolation can be removed. I know it looks stupid, but for what i remember, it always had good results.

One way to optimize there subfloor area is by building their own versions of a flat furniture dolly or even wheeled storage bins that can be rolled around on. Everything from odd hardware to holiday decor can ride around under their feet and instead of just box after box being shoved in they can pulled to them on a leash of sorts. Indeed the trick is to have all there casters be able to pivot 360' and they can even be linked together so what they hold can be in the same category. 🤔
