Usually it's slow until you get into the millions and then you'll get more per win.
I've noticed that the people at 50K and those at 2mil play exactly the same way.

I am really interested to see a Control madness now that we can remap the entire controller.
I can confirm it can be awful with controller mapping now. For example I tried it with my sister shortly after the patch came out and within a few rounds she just made a controller layout that only let me move and jump (which is usually impossible). Imagine the things you could do by actually trying to be annoying.

I like the bits of advice you throw in while playing. It's really nice because you show off the people's weaknesses and since you're playing in low elo, it helps out people who really want to improve their Gsp. I'm not one of those people but I still appreciate it. Thank you.

I hate gsp, every time I win, they quit out the match last second and I don’t get any...

That’s why I only play on arenas. Being a captain falcon main online with gsp is stupid. EVERYONE just spams. So I finally get to 2,000,000 gsp and I lose 2 matches, down to low gsp you go! I haven’t escaped that hellhole yet and I don’t intend to. Online is just toxic all around

I love that you can actually see the brain cells of opponents dying as you advance through the ranks to high GSP. Yeah the lower level people may not know exactly how to play the game but they're taking their favorite characters and actually trying.
Then you make it to the higher ranks and fight the "Best of the Best" Samus, Dark Samus, Link, Young Link, Toon Link, Ness, Lucas, Zelda and other characters that just fun away spamming their one or two online abusable move. These are the people that should be going to tournaments and taking home all the money.

The PK boys and Samus mains play the game by barely interacting with it. Win or lose playing those guys are just booooooring and irritating

When you play four matches against three random opponents and end up on regular Fourside, regular Icicle Mountain, and a double helping of regular Balloon Crossing, and you lose 500k GSP in one match because you lost in sudden death after spending five minutes doing nothing on iceberg because you couldn’t hit without approaching and you couldn’t get to the high ground without being attacked.
@PT PIK i believe it, went online last night with mac cause i wanted him in elite and got stuck with random rulesets and i kept getting stuck against samus mains as mac. I somehow won and got elite after 10 battles. And then i played as roy, fought a zelda, they rage quit and i got banned for 45 mins for "harassing" the t bagging zelda

Huh, I guess this really could be smurfing, I get why some people would be pissed at that, it's like those "bronze to grandmaster" overwatch videos that got very controversial because they were smurfing and ruining other people's games.
Seems odd to me though, since at 150k gsp you could very well be matched against a 2mil+ pretty frequently. Not to mention if someone just annihilates you like they do everyone else you lose less gsp and they just gain more to get them where they should be.

Besides if it’s such a problem that’s really the fault of the developers for designating skill matchups to the GSP of individual characters.
@@_V.Va_ yeah yeah, in this video it wasn't really that bad, and he was just in low gsp, but I've seen videos where people will actively lose games to get to low gsp then climb up.
I swear y’all get paid actors - when I try and climb with my main falco I manage to get into lobbies with robs who only play on Wrecking Crew with a 3 minute time limit

All the people you beat getting out of low gsp hell are still down there, fighting each other, keeping themselves down there when they should be able to get out.
I blame youtubers for convincing highly skilled players to artificially lower their gsp down to nothing, so they can work their way back up, causing other skilled players to be ranked as very bad by the gsp system. It threw off the gsp rankings across the board.
I've been beaten by people who were easily pro level but only had like 50,000 gsp. This made mine drop by over a million in a single fight even though it was a very close match and we both fought well.
If you're good enough to have 6,000,000 gsp, then stay there. Otherwise you'll make people who should have 4,000,000 go down to 3. And people who should be at 3 will go down to 2, etc.

Most of my characters are stuck in the 100k GSP hole, but I have a few that aren’t and let me tell you that if you’re above 2.5 million GSP about the only characters you’ll find are campy samuses, links, Zelda, lucina, roy, and ness. I’ve been stuck between 3-5mil GSP forever and these are the only matches I find. I constantly run into these laggy campy players who I absolutely can’t do anything against. If you do nothing, you get hit, if you approach, they move. Not only that, but some of these players use ridiculously horrible rule sets in order to cheese the opponent. I find it absurd.
At Least they try.. I’m in the 6 million rank and all I see is SPAM SPAM JUMP JUMP... then your partner is either toxic by killing there selves or dies within 60 seconds then take one of your spawns...
Long story short I go back to the PS4

By the way if anyone hates fighting BOTW Link with Ganon I learned that if you manage to get the bomb you can flame choke them and throw the bomb for a free jablock. Just F-smash or Up Smash with that free lock.
Samus players online are the worst always do the same crap. Samus online in nut shell: dodge away, charge up beam, jump over dropping bombs, dodge away, grapple beam, forward air, forward air, shoot charge beam, charge beam, shoot power missile, shoot charge beam, repeat from begining. Not fun to watch not fun to play against most brain dead boring players are Samus prove me wrong.

Hey HopCat I got a nice little idea for a video: Assist Trophy endurance
Rules: 1 vs 1, enable assist trophy item only
-Player 1 (P1) and Player 2 (P2) take turns at summoning assist trophy's
-only one assist trophy is allowed to be on the field
-P1 and P2 are not allowed to attack each other
-P1 must knock out P2's assist Trophy before the timer runs out. failing to K.O. the assist trophy gives the P2 another turn. This repeats until P1 can knock out the assist trophy then the roles are reversed and the process repeats
-any items droped by assist Trophy's belong to the Player that summoned them. You are not allowed to use items that are dropped by the assist trophy you battle. (this further encourages beating the assist trophy early before they can summon items)
-the match goes on until either player loses all stocks/stamina (free of choice)
*All Assist Trophy's that can be K.O.*

Hey hopcat big fan. I strive to be a video game you tuber myself and was wondering how you record you videos with the audio included because I can record smash videos without audio but not with it.
Most people rn are lagging pretty hard because of everyone being online (cause everyone is home). People with Gigablast are lucky to get 200 MB/s... has to do with the node being overloaded. Although I do find it weird how a friend of mine only lags while fighting me and neither of us lag while fighting others. My bet is something having to do with ping between our 2 servers.
Thing is though, even with slow speeds, there is a way to at least have it be consistant, and it is UNBEARABLE to play people that absolutely REFUSE to fix it... like dude, I do cable, I will come and fix it (But of course they say no because of Covid, but w/e)
