Very good work. I did the adjustment to my FX691V and it sounds good at idle and mid throttle but has some valve chatter at full throttle. Do you know what might be causing this. Don't want my engine going boom 💥
Typically you hear them hot at idle. The good news is the valve lash being out won’t really cause any major failures. You can bend the push rods but not a big deal at all. The older fx and fh engines were bad about the rocker perch bolt backing out but doesn’t seem to be an issue any more.
@Brotherslawn23 do the rockers get slop in them. As far as I know they are the original rockers that were installed at the factory. Just trying to target and replace the parts that might be worn out.
2005 Tiger Cub FH601V - changed the plugs recently and they had a lot of carbon, more than I've ever seen. Do you know why? I do enjoy your videos and thanks in advance.
If my memory serves those were bad about burning oil, regardless all of the fh engine were considered “dirty” emission engines and some or most at this point have been discontinued.
I adjusted the valves to 4 and ran it it worked but the main problem is it would not start then it would back fire then it starts fine what else could it be I replaced the carburator. So hard start, back fire on start up
If you’re in business mowing you best be a mechanic or you can’t afford the shops cost 😢 I charge my businesses less because I do so much for them and I can depend on them if I’m very fair 😊😊😊
thank you brother just did the fs600v on my SWZT got it running great again
Very informational, this seems like an easy enough job!

Where did you get the carb from? Are you sure you’re getting a good strong spark?
Really youll could open a mower shop during winter months and make a little money 😊
Just pick your customers 😮
I’ve talked about it and thought about it, but I’d want to run one not work for one. Been down that road once before.
