Going to a LCS or buying from a major online retailer is the best way to avoid receiving fake coins. Great video dude. Keep stacking 🏄♂️ 🌊.......YEA!!!
Very important to check. I like @WestTexasStacker idea, can you barter for goods and services with silver. Most folks don't understand the value as you've pointed out with the ice cream and candy bars, but how about the older generation or business shops?
I bought 200 walking liberty halves from a bullion dealer and one was fake. It should be 12.5 grams but it was 9.73 grams. All other sizes were correct. It also looks sand casted if you look close at it. Also I have a magnet slide and it slide down with no resistance.
I'd like to see you barter some silver for a fresh caught fish..Great to see something different on the pier. Have you thought of a Q&A with a random person on the pier?
I have a Sigma and I check EVERYTHING that comes in, I dont care where i buy it! In the past i have jave gotten fake Gold assay bars from. They promptly swapped them out, but nobody is immune
As there is no beach around here (Switzerland) I really like the beach videos. Thank you! *** A couple of years back we had lots of fake Pandas around here. Being a Panda collector (my only mania when it comes to silver coins) I got aware of that pretty quickly. Never bought a fake one though.
Man o Man! I can't even believe that someone got screwed on a whole roll of silver eagle fakes! Damn. Yea, i've got a ping tester that MORE then paid for itself in peace of mind when buying rounds or coins. Spend the $25 bucks and save yourself a LOT of grief. Great video Surfer!!
@@StackingSurfer I think I have decided to eventually get rid of my rounds, Britannias and Maples for American eagles and constitutional silver with the idea that if things go south, most people wouldn't know anything about other nations silver or gold for that matter.

Appreciate it!
Great great video. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
One of the greatest stories of a fake coin was the Josh Tatum story from 1883 and the plated gold nickel.
Ouch.

I have done a few barters with tubes of silver. Problem is, I don’t want to give out the silver, I want to gain it. lol. 😂
Picked up $100 face dimes today at LCS. Had to pay $21.89. Also found banks and credit unions closed this morning in Salem Oregon.
Awesome, that’s a great buy!

That’s crazy that one snuck in. Magnets are another great test.

Cool idea! I will try to.
Was just at a show 2 weeks ago and heard one dealer telling another he got burned and bought 24 fake silver eagles.
Oh man! Thats horrible.

Imaging thinking you are saving $4 an eagle to find out they are all copper rounds. Ouch.
Great tips! Even reputable places can fall for it. 😳
Absolutely!
I buy from credited money exchanges. But, this stuff is really good to know!
Always check. Even if it’s from a trusted source.
Just got back from buying $299 worth of 90% silver dimes, love those 90% dimes
Me too!
This is a very educational video. It’s good that you put your five points on the screen.
It does help!
Careful Surfer… looks like you were being stalked. 😂
She is definitely stalking you! Watch out surfer! 🏄♂️
😜
I have contingency plans for such things.
Sigma pro mini. Best grand I ever spent
Nice.

Great coins to and can be faked as well.

@@Sonny-ik9rv Hard to go wrong that way. Many factors to consider but your rational is sound. It could also all come down to weight as well n
I've actually bought fake coins only so I have examples.
Label them. It happens to the best of us. Then we learn.
it's happening with the systems crash just like i told yu , wake up already ?
It’s coming.
