The equipment is a Hofherr-Schrantz-Clayton-Shuttleworth corn husker.... Clayton-Shuttleworth being from Lincoln UK, and made steam engines! Good if you want to grow corn. I was hoping it was a fruit press...

I have watched a lot of BG property videos and I do wonder why they have the stairs outside? I could imagine that it would be very inconvenient in the colder months. All in all this is an exceptional project for 7 grand GBP

This will have been as animals used to live downstairs and people upstairs!

@jamesbond4981 When Watching the leftovers from the furniture , I would suggest about the house has been built in the 1950s. "Why they(Bulgarians) had their stairs outside"-most likely it was not because of the "animals living in the basement". In 1950s people would have had fire heaters in each room, they would not need to keep animals for heating up the underfloor space - that's too medieval. My suggestion is : when at the second floors are only bedrooms, so the stairs would have been used just at evenings or once per day. The eople used to spend all the day in the kitchen and livingroom or in their garden. I bought a two floors 1980s village house recently and I am planning to do a "cutout" inside into the floor of the second level and I will install wooden stairs. The outside stairs IDK .. perhaps I would demolish and extend the terrace of my house. P.P. I like this channel 😊 Take care!

@@dalia_mar that's one of the reasons indeed, , it's space you don't really use that you have to heat. They just placed the thermal isolation where it was most needed- the internal space.
Also, the typical Bulgarian house has this thing called a "chardak", which is an open space like a huge terrace that was used during the summer as the living space. The stairs were connected to it and it carried out into the newer houses that use the gardens for the summer.
In the past, and I'm talking up to the end of the 19th century, there were also many houses with internal stairs but those were in the cities mostly or big villages.
Btw, you can use the external stairs to create a "chardak". Nothing beats the feeling of living there in the summer under the vine 😍❤️

Well done. Decent sized garden, god roof, solid walls, developed town nearby. You’ve cracked it before you even start.
