    Hi, thanks for the tip about the powder, I have an old stone house, and we had a colony of bees inside the stone under the plaster, so there was no way of reaching the hive without costly damage to the house. The hive had been there for about 5 years and spraying only killed a few at a time. I got some Sevin Insect Powder, and made a small pile at the entrance where the bees fly in and within a day, there were no more bees entering or leaving.
    Thanks again!

      +Tim Nicholas I NEVER do this free of charge. It is labor intensive, time consuming and destructive. Often the bees have been sprayed and are not viable, nor is the honey edible. Every beekeeper I know, charges for this type of removal. A swarm sitting on a branch? I'll do that for free (within a reasonable distance). Also, there is no guarantee they won't be back.

    Our house is for sale and we just noticed a swarm of honey bees coming in and out of roof peak, today,there seems to be hundreds. We can not find anyone to help or come out to get them. We are told they can do thousands of dollars In Damage if they nest in walls. The bee keepers don't want to risk the tall roof peak. Others said they wouldn't know if the bees are "pure "(?)
    All we can do is destroy them.

    • @lilprincekilla
      @lilprincekilla 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kipper Same problem. We tried to get rid of bees twice. Once they were outside and the keeper took the nest and left. Three years later, we found that they get into the house and made a hive within the roof. After damaging our closet to get to the roof (be careful who you contact as a hive keeper because after the guy did the work they were unreachable and we had to fix the damages). And now, we come to find that they didn't get rid of the hive or the queen because we have another infestation. And that's one of the reasons we're trying to leave this house.

    • @maggiemiller15
      @maggiemiller15 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +LilPrince Killa When I remove bees, I am not responsible to fix any damage done in the process. I take the bees out. Period. You are responsible for any and all damages and for making sure you close up any entrances they might be able to use to get back in. I do not guarantee bees won't come back, as they often do when homeowners don't listen and don't do what they need to do to prevent it. Spraying bees and killing them doesn't stop other bees from using the space again.

    • @lilprincekilla
      @lilprincekilla 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maggie Miller and there you have it. you're not responsible for repairing any damages to the house right? GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE. Must be fun for you to wreck people's shit. So instead of removing them we mine as well kill them so they don't ever come back. While at it, we can damage our own shit instead of paying someone else to do it for doing a crappy job of getting rid of the bees. You're leaving instructions for people to get rid of bees? Well, that's not exactly you doing your job right? You're job is to GET RID OF THE BEES. Not LEAVE IT FOR US TO PREVENT THEM FROM COMING BACK. That's what we PAY YOU TO DO. Thanks for letting me know that the bee removers are a huge scam.

      Tim Nicholas Your right, Tim. In my state, Tennessee, killing Honey Bee's is strictly illegal. The Honey Bee is actually our state's Agricultural Insect. The problem I see is people misidentifying stinging insects.All stinging insects are not the same. Some don't even sting, they bite. The most commonly misidentified stinging insect is the confusion between the Yellow Jacket, and the Honey Bee. Yellow Jackets aren't even in the same category as a bee. A Yellow Jacket is a wasp. Wasps are very dangerous, but killing them is not a crime. Killing any type of Wasp is not illegal. Just be certain to accurately identify the insect in question before you resort to killing them. It's important to know that a Honey Bee will only attack in two situations. 1. It's protecting the Queen/Hive2. It's protecting itself.In just about 100% of any situations, the Honey Bee won't even acknowledge you unless your preventing her from doing her work. Note that I referred to the Worker Bee as a female. That's because all Worker Bee's are female. The only males in the hive are the Drones. Honey Bee's have a job to do, and they have a reasonably short time to get it done. They don't have time to mess around with anything that isn't a threat to them finishing their work before the nectar flow ends. Wasps, on the other hand are aggressive. They attack, even if they're unprovoked. The primary reason for this is that they, unlike the Honey Bee, can sting an unlimited amount of times without fearing death. In Tennessee, Beekeeper's who will come remove Bee's can be found at the U.T. Extension Office. I assume that most cities have an Extension Office that handles this problem. I personally am registered with our Extension Office, and have done a few jobs as the result of that.

    (WARNING I DO NOT MEAN AFRICANIZED BEES YOU SHOULD GET A PROFESSIONAL TO DEAL WITH THAT THEY'RE DANGEROUS ALSO I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU GET HURT AT ALL DOING THIS IT'S YOUR DECISION TO DO IT OR NOT)
    ANY WAY
    Fun fact. If you have a bees nest or wasp nest in your yard and you need to get rid of it I know a way, it works every time we did it (The Nest were not big they were normal sized and small) you don't really have to get that close to it either (it will kill them so if you don't want to kill them then just keep scrolling if you don't care about killing them then here you go). you can get stung if you're not careful.
    Safest way
    1: Have about 3 people (you can do it by yourself it'll just go faster with more people)
    2: wear long sleeves and long pants.(you don't have to I just don't like my skin to show just in case)
    3: get a water gun for each person.
    4: fill each water gun with warm soapy water (lots of soap, I don't think it's a specific type of soap but just in case we use the dish soap.)
    5: surround the nest in shooting range (preferably with the farthest you can get)
    6: then completely drench the nest in soap water it'll kill all of them.
    Please do this with caution also only killed them if they're like on your balcony or in your window please don't just go out into the woods see a nest and kill them that's not fair that's their home and it's not in yours. Thank you. Have a nice day

    I used my shop vack with a long PVC pipe attached to the hose and placed it right at there entrance. It sucked them up as they came and went. I was able to reduce there numbers quite a bit over a few days. Then I applied poison by tossing in an bug bomb that killed most the left overs.

    That’s a Beekeeper I’m really hoping that you’re not serious about spraying and killing bees! I don’t usually say the word idiot, but that would come to mind we need all the bees we can get today because of our food source, and all the pesticides that people spray out there it has not helped the population, so please get wise in anyone has bees get a hold of someone to remove their bees. I’ll be more than happy to do that.

    Just ignore them they will be very docile when the queen is gone.... I stand in swarms every day and never get stung... only if i start messing in ther hive and removing there honey... just wear gloves in case you happen to grab one... when i remove bees I leave a trap box for the stragglers... and come back in a few days.. to retreave the rest ... you can try to spray them with water, after a few times they will move to a new location... bees feed the world...

      actually no. We still have hummingbird’s butterflies and other critters that pollinates all of our flowers also fun fact honey bees are native to the USA and have a germs and Diseases that kill other animal’s. So yes bees Do pollinate flowers but they also put other species in danger. And without them we will still have a good habitat for other animals and us So In conclusion we will be better or normal without them

    Swarm you? You don't know much about bees. Swarming is entirely different than defending the hive. Just call a beekeeper and he/she can take them away. Don't seal comb and honey in a house. with the bees gone you are inviting a host of unwanted bugs and critters to come in.

  • @joveeliddell9878
    @joveeliddell9878 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well um just saying combine dawn and water in a sprayer and spray the bees. I've tried it and it was almost instant death for the bees, Now I don't know if will work for you so be very very careful. Also I only killed 8 or 9 of the bees for a test and then sprayed my porch and places they usually go and they don't come back.

    Sorry but this is very poor EHow info. We come behind you guys in many a honey bee removal. If at all possible, you should not kill honey bees. Live HB removals have a 90% success rate. If you do kill them you should remove the hive contents...ALWAYS. About 50% of the removals I do are after an exterminator or home owner unsuccessfully tries to kill them. Most pesticide applications are unsuccessful as they do not reach the entire cavity and the size is underestimated.
