so did you ever realise that the '50/50' on the lava waterfall map is actually a really simple puzzle where you have to use the dragon vein underneath the orb that the statue is holding?
Funnily enough, I only learned about that when someone told me in an earlier comment on this video... A little embarrassing, admittedly, but at least we got to see some Kinshi Knight Hinata action because of it? 👀💦

For a game with a lot of one-note characters, Fates has some of the hottest men in all of FE. Hinata chief among them, there’s something about him that makes me giggle and kick my feet lmao so I’m happy to see other people love him as well.
Loved the video! I've never seen anyone as dedicated to Hinata of all characters as you are, and it was a blast! Congrats on the solo clear! I thought your editing was pretty good, too! As someone who's played Fates since 2016, I have a huge fondness for it as well, and with Birthright being my least played route, it was nice to get a refresher on its chapters - I forgot just how much enemy spam there was, lol.

I've prolly seen 100s of Conquest challenge runs, but this is the first challenge run I've seen of Birthright, so this video is setting an incredibly high standard for any I watch in the future. Also Hinata sure is humble for doing all the work then letting Corrin take top billing in the MVP section.
I'm surprised you played Birthright as much as you have and didn't know the Ch. 21 dragon veins aren't random. 😂 Either way, I had fun watching this. Really good video.

ur channel is so underrated, discovered it through this video on my recommended and while i usually play these long type of videos in the background, i was genuinely interested and intrigued and ended up sitting through this whole thing without realizing.. the script is both funny and concise to perfection, hope to see more of these

Admittedly, I do want to try my hand at soloing Conquest and Revelation with Hinata too, though I don't know how feasible it realistically is to solo Conquest... I'm very much willing to give it a shot, though! 💪

Great video it’s been awhile since I’ve seen some birthright gameplay! Just a thing to note with you getting hit by low percentage hits. Fates does “true” hit for those low hits so they are far more likely to hit in fates than in the other games. Also the killer weapons (including the barb shuriken I believe) lower avoid. That made it far more likely for you get chipped. Other than that great video made me want to try soloing birth right with someone who isn’t Ryoma.

You offer some good points, and honestly, I've recently been thinking about how the Killer weapons lower Avoid and therefore made things a little harder than they needed to be in certain chapters... But hey, I always say that it's not one of my playthroughs if I don't (unintentionally) make things harder for myself, so I'm par for the course there 🤣

I swear, Hisame's Paralogue is so poorly designed, like... Li'l bro is just chilling in the middle of a patch of movement-restricting, -10 Avoid waste tiles and expects us to make it there before the Faceless do 😭 Sorry kid, better find a chokepoint or rent a Kinshi like Reina next time...

Other than that, did you know, in Burning falls, you can guarantee the 50/50 ? You just need to activate the dragon vein under the hand holding a ball ! That way, you won't suffer from the reinforcements and lava floor...but I suppose flying over it is also a way to deal with it lmao Regardless, as time consuming as this was, I hope you'll make more challenges like this ! Even a good old ironman could be fun to watch

I assume that the purpose of chapter 19 was to encourage new players to look at the enemy stats rather than assume their general weaknesses based on their classes. But that assumes that a given player only uses the simplified stat screen. But I have no idea if it actually works that well and regardless it’s no excuse not do more with the concept on Lunatic difficulty since it still leaves a good few enemies completely impotent. The chapter also has a few more master seals to go around, so I also think the game is trying to push one last reminder to promote your units before the late game maps.
One idea that i thought you were going to go for by choosing the fighter talent, was that if you were a male corrin, you could've A+ supported hinata to give him access to hero for Sol, which would drastically increase his survivability. That could've been an interesting strategy.
See, this is exactly what I love about Fates - there's just so many options to choose from when it comes to building your units! Sol is admittedly a skill that I considered multiple times, but in the end, I went with the Takumi A+ support for flier mobility (and hypothetically, Air Superiority) instead. Definitely a good option to keep in mind moving forward, though!

And that's okay - different people, different tastes! Hinata is simply a real comfort character for me, just a fun guy with an endearing personality who takes the samurai stereotype and gives a playful spin on it! I also personally adore more rowdy, rough-and-tumble characters, and Hinata fits that profile perfectly :) It's honestly a little tough to pinpoint why I love the guy, but I think that sums it up pretty well! He's not the deepest character ever, but sometimes, it doesn't need to be all that deep! 🙌

I love her simplicity, but that simplicity comes with a layer of realism and emotion that makes her feel like a real person. I feel Hinata is far too simple and bland of a character. He lacks any personality or definition that makes his simplicity work. That’s just how I see him, I understand why you’d like a character like him though; headstrong yet heartful warrior type characters can be very entertaining and enjoyable.
Yes, you're right about that! However, we wanted to get the Boots that are in one of the chests on that map, and as we were chain Entrapped to right beside Iago before killing him, we hadn't got a chance to open ANY chests. Hence our decision to reset!
