Although I adore the Julie Andrews Cinderella soundtrack, this was the Cinderella of my childhood. That and the 1950 Walt Disney version which happened to be rereleased in 1965.
Is that Stuart Damon, I think it was, of The Champions fame? Just looked it up. Yes, it was. Sadly he died in 2021. Loved that TV series as a child. RIP sir.
I am definitely not from this time. However, I am in a Cinderella musical, and it happens to be this version. It's not all the exact same, of course, but it's Rodgers and Hammerstein's and this is by far my favourite song from it! Also, this is the first thing I went to watch after discovering our school's musical. I looked up "Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella" on TH-cam and found this, so I watched it. I love it a lot more than the Disney movie, because of all the songs in it. Heck, I was expecting Stepsisters' Lament to be in the movie, but it wasn't, so I'm not sure how I ever heard that song before watching the musical.
Oh my goodness.. where is my prince? I found him… he fell asleep in the easy chair! That was 45 years ago. Never could dance or sing but is perfect!!
This + the Brandy version would always be on repeat in the house 😭🤍
Same with me ❤
My mom recorded this onto a blank VHS, i watched it all the time with her when i was little. 😊
It’s 2024 but watching this, I’m 6 years old again, totally captivated by Cinderella and Prince Charming. Ahh, memories.
This has always been my favorite Cinderella. I've always loved the Prince. 😂😂😂😂

Isn't it Prince Christopher?
Never mind, that may just be in my school's version.
This came on TV once a year when I was a child. I still love the movie after all these years.
I remember it, too. I adore this presentation.
I watched it each year also. A favorite always!

This is the reason I can’t learn new things- I have too much useless factoids taking up the space in my brain.
I’ve always been obsessed with that dress
Why does it look like she has dirt on her cheek?
