Good job lass., you know I should really learn to play the guitar also, especially as I'm from Yorkshire, you know the county where Paradise Lost come from I saw in the GREG worship forum that you have only been playing for a year, gives me inspiration to learn also. Finding guitar tutors that can teach a left-handed person though is hard.

Hi, thank you for your comment. Yeah, apparently your town was full of bands, nice history there 😀 honestly I dreamed of playing guitar for decades, never succeeded because I had no real focus and learning the basics takes forever if you follow what everyone does. I just want to have fun and not think of being the best guitar player... an hobby should be fun so I just learn songs that I really know well and give me the goose bumps, also need to be quite easy being a newbie. So go for it if you play stuff you already know well it's much easier 😀

@@littlewarcovers Yup PL i know very well, hence the book on Existential philosophy and how to use it to combat the rise of victim mentality in today's society (not the title , just the premise of the book) Yeah 100's of bands come from my county and I think Greg still lives in my city of Bradford, Nick still lives over Sowery bridge area, Aarron has moved down south (but used to live in wakefield). I agree on your motivation though, no interest in becoming part of a band (though i have written lyrics for other bands like Pound of Flesh) just want to do it as a hobby.

Actually Paradise Lost have been in part inspiration of writing my book. PL are Nihilists, whilst I am an Existentialist and we both have one thing in common, the absolute disdain for ANY religion and the need to live an authentic existence and that there is no higher power than oneself . The reason why I mentioned this as I spoke with Greg himself after a gig in Sheffield, he disagreed with me on just one part, he thought religion had no use and good whatsoever in the past. Whilst I think it did, but only in the ancient days, that is 'Ancient Sumer (I read and write Sumerian cuneiform) as in those days man's mind was starting to wake up and religion then was just trying to explain the unknown. These days though religion has no place in the world and modern man has no excuse to continue the madness of it. I want to find out who the management company of PL is, so I can interview Greg about some of his philosophy.
