      @FixxxerZ7 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      heres johnny I completely disagree. I still kinda like this, but I can think of MANY ways in which they would sound a lot better. I am very disappointed by their de-evolution in the last few albums, going back to the roots. Everyone goes back to the roots, it's so predictable and boring.

    • @ireallydontcareabouthandles
      @ireallydontcareabouthandles 9 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      FixxxerZ7 I don't see it as a full-blown return to the roots. It's a return to Lost Paradise/Gothic form, sure, but there's certainly shades of Host in this song as well in the verses. I actually hear more Host in this than I do most of Tragic Idol. It's less a regression and more a collective exercise of everything the band has been up to this point, almost like the last 25 years have led up to this song. Their journey has been parabolic, going from metal to synthrock and then back again, but PL has never really stopped moving forward with their music; it's just that the last handful of albums have basically been a slow return to metal form while retaining some of what they learned from their late 90's/early 2000's material.

    • @FixxxerZ7
      @FixxxerZ7 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      LC1991 While this new song definitely includes the experience of the last 25 years, it is pretty much at exactly the style of music they were playing back in 1990-1991. I am sorry, but I don't hear anything remotely close to Host. I can hear One Second and Host reminiscent melodies and formalisms in their previous 4-5 albums, but not here. Maybe the album will have some other songs closer to their late 90s stuff, who knows?
      It would be great if Paradise Lost always moved forward (like they were doing until 2005) but since 2007 every album is taking them a step back. Don't get me wrong, I still like ALL their albums, they're one of my favourite bands... just not all of them the same :)

      I love their albums "Paradise Lost", "Draconian Times", "The Plague Within" and "Obsidian".
      Right now I am most interested in re-visiting their album "Host", for the simple facts that a) its reception is quite polarising and b) for some reason or other it is quite often the very works that self-described "fans" of a band tend to dislike which I find most interesting. So, maybe it will grow on me once I give it another listen, even though it seemed average to me at first.

    Paradise Lost was one of those bands that sparkled that flame of metal inside myself. Icon is still one of the best metal albums that ever have been made and this new album sounds like those early records and i can't wait to hear rest of that PL has to offer.

    God I'm loving the new sound.
    The art work is so much going on my arm. This track says it all.
    Paradise lost is one of the most underestimated bands and IMO is bigger than some sellout shit we listen to these days. Nick and crew have kept to there roots. PL FTW

    This song along with many others with this band and so many others is why i love my metal so much. So much beauty in darkness. You just gotta look hard to see it. But for me its so simple.

    Το album ήδη θεωρείται album της χρονιάς και ίσως ένα από τα καλύτερα από την εκπληκτική δισκογραφία τους.Μακάρι φέτος να έρθουν και στην Ελλάδα αλλά σε κλειστό συναυλιακό χώρο να τους απολαύσουμε.Για μένα το μεγαλύτερο metal συγκρότημα αυτή τη στιγμή και ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα όλων των εποχών.

    just can't stop to listen this, my sound system is all set up to play just metal, boze is getting low, the shadows of the night are reaching my window's, my heart is ripping my chest, I'm not what suppose to be, I'm alone again. just metal is keeping me alive... or I'm a ghost?
