My Daycare children love to play flower shop. Just some vases and baskets, I also buy flower foam for flower arrangements, mixture of artificial flowers and leaves. I also give them colored tissue paper if they want to wrap them and some paper lunch bags and a cash register. Great for learning about money. At my Dollar tree there are big and small wooden puzzles and blocks too.
Ikea has great little glass measuring pitchers that can be used for pouring. They also have cute little shot glasses that look like the adult size water glasses
Hi I am also a montessori mom of two (boys 2&4yo). When I enjoy looking through your videos, I feel like we both have similar taste and thoughts!!Just like you, I am passionate about motherhood and Montessori education, too!
The handle of the dollar tree broom can be easily broken by stepping on the handle and snapping it back and forth. The end gaurd can then be moved to the now shorter handle, and it works perfect for little ones. 🙂 great video.
I have been making matching games with erasers found at the dollar store. They have double cute little animals like butterfly's and bees. She loves it. Also we use buttons as counters and to make numbers and letters. Great place for learning supplies. Love it.
i love these items at the DT, we use the mini broom set and they help sweep outside! they love dusting the house too! i love montessori activities! I need to try the sand writing!
so glad to see this. my 3 yr old now attends a little preschool 2 days a week at a church in our town and last night we registered her for prek montessori class :) She will attend that next year instead of full blown public school prek! She will only go 3 days a week 9 to 12! the for posting :)

Well, you did it again! You showed all these great ideas and made me go to Dollar tree! Picked up some beads for counting and a container to store them, some purple sand and the square container and bunch of socks. 😊 Spent a lot of my dollars tonight, fun learning more tomorrow! I'm still on the hunt for those flashcards.

I'd be careful about purchasing Dollar Tree. There've been found to sell highly toxic items.
