You should do a Separate series on what if every tamer from 01,02,03,and Data-squad got V-Bracelets and Multiple Evolutions. Since Frontier,Xros 1and2 and App are something kinda of different Ect. Xros wouldn’t make much since they merge with digimon. Appmon well because their Appmon. And Frontier it would mess up their whole concept of humans turning to spirit and take the focus off of the spirits. Since we have one for Augumon,Gabumon,Veemon and Guilmon you should do the other’s. I’ll love to see your guess on their evolutions as well. It’ll be a little fun and cool series 😎
Awesome video just like the rest. I like the ideas for the swaps but personally I would have done it differently, so I like to share how I would swap them. To start off i’d change who gets swapped. Instead of swapping Marcus and Thomas, and Keenan and yoshino, i thought it would be more fun to swap all 4. So what I ended up with was: Marcus with lalamon Thomas with agumon Keenan with gaomon And yoshino with falcomon. Why swap them like this? Idk, I thought it’d be interesting. To start with Marcus lalamon still turns into sunflowmon, but afterwards it would into toropiamon and then bloomlordmon. I also have algomon(mega) as a dark digivolution like ruin mode (I also considered hydramon as a dark evo but since ruin mode was just an evil shinegreymon I thought it should be more similar to bloomlordmon). Next for Thomas and agumon, I had it digivolve to greymon, but not regular greymon. Instead it’s the 2010 version from xros wars. It then digivolves into cyberdramon (both the regular and the 2010 version work but personally I prefer the 2010 version for this). Last but not least, it’s mega will be justimon (justimon x-antibody could work well as a burst mode for it). Keenan and gaomon are next, with gaomon turning into garurumon and then weregarurumon. And for the mega, at first I wanted a ninja or maybe a samurai digimon, but then I thought about the show and had a fantastic idea. The mega will be mercurymon. I just thought it would be awesome to see that after mercurymon dies, Keenan’s gaomon also becomes mercurymon later down the line. Lastly, and probably the hardest one to figure out, was yoshino and falcomon. To start yoshino’s falcomon would be the regular version instead of the one from the show. Falcomon would first turn into aquilamon and then silphymon (let’s disregard the fact that it’s a fusion). Lastly for the mega, it would become ancientirismon.
In this alternate universe where Marcus had Gaomon, I imagine that Marsmon’s fire would have the same digital appearance as the red energy that surrounds Marcus’ fists when punching Digimon or digivoling Agumon
@@Karn_EX legitimately that why the heck can he punched Mega level Digimon then be fine and hurt them he's the only human in the entire Series has been able to do that not even the hybrid Spirit human digimons can punch Mega level digimons with ease
Savers suffered from the same issue Tamers did. It was a more mature story, and most western fans were being marketed to as digimon being a 'kids show'. Savers was pretty awesome honestly. And I love how it explored the upper echelons of the digital world. BanchoLeomon/Spencer's story was too awesome.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Savers/Data Squad is my favorite season by far, even though it's not that popular. I've felt this way even when I was a kid, not bothered by the darker tone at all and I actually loved the heavier focus on lore and plot. And that is one-hundred percent why I love it so much and wish it got more appreciation.
Ah, Savers, one of the most amazing seasons, but it's so underrated. Nice swaps you get there, Karn, but it would be still super awesome if Masaru get Lalamon. 😅 It's odd how Harpymon is always depicted as female, despite the fact that Hawkmon as its pre-evolution is male. Did you consider doing those swaps between different seasons?
While I know that Elecmon is a canon Rookie for Leomon, I always wonder why no one chooses Liollmon as Rookie for Leomon, at least for a hypothetical line like in these kinds of videos XD Yes, Liollmon is the Rookie for Liamon etc, but still, it works perfectly for Leomon and Kirsty's Biyomon also only has bird centered evolutions, so having Elecmon as Rookie instead of Liollmon kinda eludes me XD I mean, it's just for fun anyways XD
Honestly it's the opposite for me! I actually LOVE Liollmon but I use it in so many of my hypotheticals coming up that I wanted to use Elecmon hahaha I think in this instance because it will die as a Rookie, it needs to represent the most COMMON Leomon Rookie. I don't think Elecmon is the best Rookie for Leomon but rather than standard, the one that is the Official Default if that makes sense. Same way if, say, a Greymon swapped with Kirsty I'd HAVE to give her an Agumon not Dracomon or something more fun. Hope that makes the pick make some sense to you!
Savers is definitely one of my Top Five Digimon Series plus Masura punching Digimon will NEVER get old. Also, I really ENJOY these Partner swaps because it does make you think outside of the box.
Honestly, I love both Daimon kids getting Leomon line representation XD Also, I can see Marcus asking how Grapleomon turned from a dog to a bear to a cat and everyone's response just being 'it's just how digivolution works, don't question it.' Ruin and Burst Marsmon would be PHENOMENAL. Also, picturing Harpymon blindly searching for it's forgotten partner on being reborn is... creepy in all the best ways.
As someone who put Savers as one of my top 3 favorite Digimon shows, I love the picks that you choice as I feel they are pretty spot on especially for Marcus! The only I would change is maybe have Agumon become Airdramon instead of Blue Coredramon since Airdramon can sometimes become Blue Metal Greymon, but I understand why you went with Blue Coredramon since it ties better with Wingdramon.
Maybe Apollomon would be the Mega that Marcus gets. Not only is the Coronamon line underrated and quite underused but it would also give some love to Digimon World Dawn and Dusk since Savers was around when Dawn and Dusk came out. I like the idea of Damon's family getting lion-like digimon since lions are associated with courage and strength which is what Marcus is associated with the most.
I think Bancho Leomon would've fit Marcus given that he was sort of a street punk in data squad (been years since I've seen so I might be remembering wrong) and Banchos are all about street justice but besides that great video
Some pretty solid swaps all things considered. Kinda surprised you skipped Frontier swaps since I feel the Digidestined would have drastically different Spirit Evolutions based on the Elementals they use respectively. And it would be nice to see evil versions of some or all of the Human-controlled spirits (it would be reflective of the Dark Spirits having regular and corrupt forms) but if this ended up being a commission-based video I could see why you'd skip it for now.
Not skipped, just on pause for now due to commissions like you say. There's no real way I can do Frontier without custom art, it just wouldn't make sense to shoehorn in existing Digimon really and art commissions take time and money lol Your Frontier itch will be scratched in February though with something similar!

I actually never saw the dub of Savers. Some of those name changes still throw me, lol. I do stan these swapped lines, though. Marsmon may not hold a candle to Mercurymon, but I would still love to see him portrayed in the anime. If they carried the punching theme through his whole line, that could make for very interesting burst mode possibilities.
Enjoyed the video! Marcus's and Thomas's final evolutions are very interesting in this video, and I really like the choices for both of them. It's also interesting that in this case, Thomas would get a Royal Knight while Marcus would get a member of the Olympos XII, which kind of fits them being comrades but rivals as well. Would definitely think that could be a very fun dynamic (even if they would be very unlikely to directly touch on Marsmon's nature as a member of the Olympos XII and the Royal Knights and Olympos XII aren't typically rivals per se, but still).
Yes! Data Squad Video! I approve! One of my all time favorite seasons and the very first one is saw in full as a child! It needs more love! And you do present some great ideas here for these swaps, and I love the idea that Spencer’s kids would both have partners that could become part of the Leomon line, and you used Marsmon!!! I’m always the guy who champions the use of the Olympus 12 in more things, and Marsmon is one of the ones who people tend to forget about despite him being kind of kickass looking. That rotating Digimental of Miracles and Destiny looks SUPER FREAKIN KOOL!! I’m jealous. I need to revisit Data Squad I really loved it I have the game on PS2 where you basically are fighting and defeating all 7 Demon Lords!! Pretty kool how with Marcus’s Gaomon you gave him Bearmon’s DW3 line its pretty underrated but suits Marcus real well!!! For Thomas’s Agumon I’d give him Allomon to MasterTyrannomon and Dorugoramon whom practically looks like a blue ShineGreymon!!!
Yesssss!! My favorite season getting it’s time to shine! I’m so happy! I love a lot of these swaps particularly the Homer and Samson ones as I actually like Homer’s line thinking it matches well and love the royal knight choice for Samson sticking although personally just so it can stay an enemy I think his should become alphamon if only because it’s a big royal knight not shown in savers. Besides that for Kristy I would give her liomon to lioamon (the bipedal champion) then to loader Leomon to make it more consistent with her original mega.
I Think in a swap Kinan Thomas, Yoshi Masaru Because I think with my brother that Masaru with a palmon, togemon, lilymon, bansholilymon its interesting (also poyomon and falcomon were like brothers, so Kinan must have a beast digimon, so elecmon and gaomon would be like brothers )

I know right, heck even rereading my own comment i just thought, with having two of the Olympus 12 there could me a movie or filler where the team visit the digital world illiad where marcus's gaomon first digivolves into marsmon. I have totally gotta borrow these swaps to write a fanfiction
seeing Marsmon would be very interesting to see especially since Merukimon, another olympos 12 digimon,showed up earlier in the season. Perhaps this Merukimon would have some really good wisdom and insight on digimon and the interaction between humans and digimon thus influencing Marcus and Goamon before evolving him into Marsmon later down the line
Good video, I tried watching Data Squad in high school but I couldn't get into the characters, they seem to whiny. I think Crowmon and Ravemon are more ninja like then you realize. I am not the best to explain. I do know ninjas used firearms which Crowmon does have some fire based attacks and traditional ninjas did wore blue which Ravemon's body armor is. His sword looks similar to a ninja sword. I wish Gaijin Goomba would do a video on his line. Personally, I think Keenan's Lalamon woud digivolve into Arbormon then Cherrymon and finally Puppetmon. All three are known for known being fairly intelligent. For Yoshino maybe Venusmon, she does have a dove by her side in artwork.
I always wonder if Digimon World 3 had an anime adaption, and I have an idea that Marcus, Thomas, and Yoshi’s partners are Bearmon, Kotemon, and Monmon.

I think I would've had Kamemon's Mega be Craniumon instead. Dutton is so heavily cat-themed and it's kinda jarring, whereas Craniumon may not have an animal aesthetic but it has similar shapes to the original Kamemon line.
Idk if you’re gonna do swaps for Xros Wars but I’m intrigued to see how you’re gonna do it just because the main characters have more than 1 digimon. I guess you could just swap the main digimon or digimon most associated with a certain character like Taiki’s Shoutmon and Akari’s Cutemon
The only thing I would consider changing is the new agumon line to end in gaiomon, as it would retain the greymon tone while allowing for the master/servant like friendship to still work as the samurai serving their lord. Maybe Allomon, flareizamon, or reptiledramon for champion, and turn into Generamon(unused contest silver medal sprite, and any excuse to use unused Digimon is a good reason), grademon, or vajramon for ultimate.
I had a different thought! What if ... Kirsty got Lalamon. Yoshino got Biyomon. Richard got Leomon. Spencer got Kudomon. Homer got Falcomon. And Keenan got Kamemon. Not sure if the Black and White PawnChessmon would change much, but seein a WhiteRookChessmon, a WhiteQueenChessmon and a vastly different BlackKingChesdmon (based on Zero from Code Geads) would be cool.
If you ever did Xros wars I would say switch Euan with nene nene gets tuwarmon and Eaun gets Sparrowmon Taiki gets Greymon or Mailbirdramon and Christopher gets Shoutmon
I think savers had a huge missed opportunity what if instead of having a partner like other seasons the Digimon specifically the main 3-4 counting Keenan and the humans played mix and match and each Digimon had 3-4 line one each based around the human digivolving them. But then you could keep the burst mode locked to one person
1:03 let’s face it they would have the same lines just with the colour variants I.e white pawn chessmon to white knight chessmon to white rook chessmon And the same would go for black pawn chessmon just having black bishop chessmon for the ultimate
So this video gets an instant like. Also yes Thomas with Dynasmon as you know my Digimon partner is Candlemon to digivolve all the way to Dynasmon. It will probably make me like Thomas a bit more than I do because he's my least favorite character in that season. This was the last series i finally finished. I appreciated just how much darker this season gets as it goes on and wish I had watched it sooner.
Yes! Data Squad Video! I approve! One of my all time favorite seasons and the very first one is saw in full as a child! It needs more love! And you do present some great ideas here for these swaps, and I love the idea that Spencer’s kids would both have partners that could become part of the Leomon line, and you used Marsmon!!! I’m always the guy who champions the use of the Olympus 12 in more things, and Marsmon is one of the ones who people tend to forget about despite him being kind of kickass looking. Well him and Vulcanusmon.

That rotating Digimental of Miracles and Destiny looks SUPER FREAKIN KOOL!! I’m jealous. I need to revisit Data Squad I really loved it I have the game on PS2 where you basically are fighting and defeating all 7 Demon Lords!! Pretty kool how with Marcus’s Gaomon you gave him Bearmon’s DW3 line its pretty underrated but suits Marcus real well!!! For Thomas’s Agumon I’d give him Allomon to MasterTyrannomon and Dorugoramon whom practically looks like a blue ShineGreymon!!!
Yesssss!! My favorite season getting it’s time to shine! I’m so happy! I love a lot of these swaps particularly the Homer and Samson ones as I actually like Homer’s line thinking it matches well and love the royal knight choice for Samson sticking although personally just so it can stay an enemy I think his should become alphamon if only because it’s a big royal knight not shown in savers. Besides that for Kristy I would give her liomon to lioamon (the bipedal champion) then to loader Leomon to make it more consistent with her original mega.
That's the most perfect Mega for Marcus' Gaomon.

seeing Marsmon would be very interesting to see especially since Merukimon, another olympos 12 digimon,showed up earlier in the season. Perhaps this Merukimon would have some really good wisdom and insight on digimon and the interaction between humans and digimon thus influencing Marcus and Goamon before evolving him into Marsmon later down the line
Good video, I tried watching Data Squad in high school but I couldn't get into the characters, they seem to whiny. I think Crowmon and Ravemon are more ninja like then you realize. I am not the best to explain. I do know ninjas used firearms which Crowmon does have some fire based attacks and traditional ninjas did wore blue which Ravemon's body armor is. His sword looks similar to a ninja sword. I wish Gaijin Goomba would do a video on his line. Personally, I think Keenan's Lalamon woud digivolve into Arbormon then Cherrymon and finally Puppetmon. All three are known for known being fairly intelligent. For Yoshino maybe Venusmon, she does have a dove by her side in artwork.

For Marcus, I think I'd give him Monmon so he can get Gokuwmon since both of them like to fight.
Thomas can get Bearmon since it's another beast Digimon.

I think I would've had Kamemon's Mega be Craniumon instead. Dutton is so heavily cat-themed and it's kinda jarring, whereas Craniumon may not have an animal aesthetic but it has similar shapes to the original Kamemon line.

Idk if you’re gonna do swaps for Xros Wars but I’m intrigued to see how you’re gonna do it just because the main characters have more than 1 digimon. I guess you could just swap the main digimon or digimon most associated with a certain character like Taiki’s Shoutmon and Akari’s Cutemon

The only thing I would consider changing is the new agumon line to end in gaiomon, as it would retain the greymon tone while allowing for the master/servant like friendship to still work as the samurai serving their lord. Maybe Allomon, flareizamon, or reptiledramon for champion, and turn into Generamon(unused contest silver medal sprite, and any excuse to use unused Digimon is a good reason), grademon, or vajramon for ultimate.

I think savers had a huge missed opportunity what if instead of having a partner like other seasons the Digimon specifically the main 3-4 counting Keenan and the humans played mix and match and each Digimon had 3-4 line one each based around the human digivolving them. But then you could keep the burst mode locked to one person

So this video gets an instant like. Also yes Thomas with Dynasmon as you know my Digimon partner is Candlemon to digivolve all the way to Dynasmon. It will probably make me like Thomas a bit more than I do because he's my least favorite character in that season. Marcus with Gaomon and you mentioning the whole Daimon family having Leomon as a partner I think is cool because it elevates Leomon. Plus hey Olympus 12 gets used somewhere.
