James French I think David Tennant does a great job as Scrooge, but I'll always treasure Alan Young's portrayal of Scrooge, since I grew up on Alan Young's Scrooge McDuck, but I get what you mean, it's like how Mark Hamil is the go-to Voice of the Joker, Or like Jim Cummings is to Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Pete & Darkwing Duck.

icecream hero You are right. Even though I haven't watched original Teen Titans before, People need to have a new vision to cartoon reboots. I mean Teen Titans is basically like a superhero series than the re-boot being a more funny, cartoony version. Just try and think that it is a brand new show never seen before, and don't try to get interaction about dirty jokes to other people. It makes the show less interesting. Even though the show includes some dirty jokes, just pretend it's not there. Creating TV Shows takes a very long time to produce. The movie also includes a secret message that the original series is coming back. So it's basically a win-win
I have watched the first 5 episodes of the new Ducktales and I will admit, it IS starting to grow on me. I daresay, there are even some elements of this new re-imagining that I like better than the original Ducktales. The personalities for all the main characters are definitely improved in the new version. I like how Scrooge now has a bit of a dry sense of humor now and he's more involved with the kids and not just leaving them behind. Webby has ceased being this over-sweetened princess and now, while she's a bit socially awkward, there is definitely some strength there. She knows language and martial arts and she's become a historian and she's a bit crazy. They made her interesting. I also like the update for the boys....they gave them their own personalities rather than them just being one character.
I grew up with the original Ducktales and so far I absolutely love this reboot. The characters, their different portrayals (seriously, I loved Ma Beagle portrayed as a southern woman's voice!), darker villians, more in depth characters, the art referencing Carl Bark's original work, classic Donald antics Walt Disney himself would be proud of and the ending of last week's episode: Gyro seemed mad and he seemed like he was brainstorming revenge... with Gizmoduck?! If you haven't given this series a chance I highly recommend you do!
I really do love both versions! The reboot does good justice to the original series :) But I do think that original Ducktales had more charm because it had more heart (like old Disney heartwarming shows). The characters weren’t stereotypes, they always had those personalities. They became immortal because of them. Nowadays, I think people criticize a lot old shows and even new cartoons, but sometimes I personally think that the best thing is to enjoy them, each one is different and unique. It’s refreshing to watch the old series with the mind like when we were kids once, and characters with heart were more important than characters with a “big” storyline. Both cases are still great, tho. I REALLY love this both versions. The greatest thing about this reboot is definitely the storyline, including Della and DONALD! I love his character so much and just watching him makes me to enjoy everything even more
@@scribblecloud I was about to say that. Plus she isn’t rebellious and is a total history geek. She’s still the girly girl from the original series but there’s more to her than that.
Personally I would much rather watch Darkwing to OG Ducktales. Nothing against Ducktales, it's just I think that Darkwing is an overall better show. In my view, Ducktales, although much better than most other stuff the time, still had a some of the 80's kids cartoon tropes and mentality. Darkwing was made a few years into the animation renaissance, and could get away with more.
Me too! I know he will be making an appearance on Ducktales, so I'm crossing my fingers that we get a spinoff. I'm not usually against celebrity voice actors, as long as they do a good job, but Jim Cummings must return as Darkwing. He would likely say yes in a heartbeat, and his performance is a big part of what made the character work so well.

I love how the a bit older versions in the reboot are more similar to their Quack Pack versions, guess that's where I learned how to differentiate them xD
@@vickilljoy6099 The cartoons kept them straight with a mnemonic. Goes something like, Huey has a red hue (this part is referenced in an episode of the reboot), Dewey is dew, which is water, which is blue, and that leaves Louie and leaves are green.

Totally adore the new DT series. Loved the original one as well, but humor, voice acting and artwork of the new show is perfect. It's so laugh out loud funny at times and the occasional movie reference drop is fun to catch. Tennant as Scrooge was a great choice and he really gives him superb humor and personality.
Question I've always had about Disney Why don't they EVER release their shows onto DVD/Blu-Ray? I would love to own a lot of the Disney Shows that I grew up with, and even some of the new shows of today, and when they do, it's often times split into Volumes, and not an entire season. I would love to own every season of shows like Lilo & Stitch, Kim Possible, House of Mouse, Gravity Falls, Aladdin, Jungle Cubs etc, why do they choose not to distribute these shows on DVD/Blu-Ray? I'm not hating on Disney, it's just something I've always noticed, and not being able to own these shows, really bugs me
you have to really look for them, i just bought Darkwing Duck at walmart not too long ago and also Tailspin , and a few years ago i manage to get Gummy Bears ;) good luck finding them.
eh, according to Wikipedia, DuckTales in incomplete. Looks like 3 volumes but only cover 75 episodes, seasons 1 and 2. Nothing from seasons 3 and 4, the last 25 episodes.
JPonyLoco I feel ya, and they haven't even released all the episodes for Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles or Gummi Bears. I have every volume I could find of the Disney Afternoon, but my childhood collection remains incomplete.
Regarding the voice cast, you forget to mention that Tony Anselmo (Donald) and Corey Burton (Von Drake) are the only actors to reprise their roles. Also, Huey is Brainy Smurf, Dewey is Randy Cunningham, Luey is Panda and Hal, and Webby is Sara Murphy, Julie Burns, and Velma Dinkley.
I was born in 94 and I can remember watching ducktales, dark wing duck, new adventure of winnie the pooh, goof troop, and classic Mickey mouse cartoons and many others on disney channel.
I miss the old duck tails I personally like the older version better FYI I am 15 my parents had the hole collection so I grew up watching some of the old TV shows like tail spin, chip and dale rescue rangers, gummy bears, and a few others I personally think that the older shows are a hundred times better than the ones they show now
6:22 Whoa. That was an entire animation reference to Marahute's flight in The Rescuers Down Under. I haven't seen the reboot yet (yes, I know it's been out and over for a long time now), but if the show contains references like THAT... color me very intrigued.
I really the fact, that they tried to do a mix between the old Ducktales and the comics. And they did it really good. Scrooge is more like the Scrooge i have known for many decades from the comics. If you have never read to a comic by Don Rosa or Carl Barks, just do it!
This is how you do a good reboot. Sure something change but they did it in a a good way. They add good new fresh and original ideas. They keep the balance of modern and old things in place. They even got good voice actors. Don’t get me wrong I love the classic ducktales and their old voice actors but I think the new ones are great. I like how they give the triplets like different personalities. While Alan Young will always forever be Scrooge McDuck, I could say that David Tennant is the second best one for Scrooge.
Gyro Gearloose is the new Aqualad--the character NOT ONE PERSON ON THE ENTIRE PLANET CARED ABOUT until they changed him, and now everyone's* pooping themselves in phony concern/outrage. *not actually everyone
Quack Pack was brilliant. Funny, goofy, surreal and really well done and I loved the arrogant human TV presenter who got up Daisy's beak! Dunno why so much hate for Quack Pack it was great.
DuckTales woohoo I remember when the classic DT aired on Sept 1987 of course right now just starting the second grade, I've always watch this cartoon series straight after coming home from school Now with the new DT, I must say that I love this one also and there it's cool to say that I love both versions
4:55 maybe because Quack Pack kinda did it first? Also i love the idea of bringing an old show for the enjoyment of both, kids and their parents (the now adults that watched the original) instead of just making a tuned down thing trying to be "weird" that's almost like some commercials were turned into a series (Yes im looking at your "only kids" reboots CN)
As someone who grew up with the original, I love the new one more. They get to draw other species than ducks and goofy like dog people now (looking at those two wolf guys and that bird that looks like kill bill and how the beagle boys look as opposed to just fat goofy people)
Has anyone noticed how a lot of people who were on SNL have also appeared in Cartoons like Tina Fey in Mega Mind, Amy Polar in The Mighty B!, Bobby Mightyham in We Bare Bears and the new Ducktales, Eddie Murphy in Shrek the list goes on.
DuckTales, the series that served as the launching pad for The Disney Afternoon, premiered in syndication in September 1987, airing on Fox's owned-and-operated stations as well as various Fox affiliates in many markets. DuckTales from all of Fox's other owned-and-operated stations in the fall of 1989. Diller also encouraged the network's affiliates to do the same, though most did not initially. As Disney went forward in developing The Disney Afternoon, Fox (whose schedule at the time was limited to prime time programming on Saturday and Sunday nights) began the process of launching its own children's programming lineup.
I grew up with the original, which a love so dearly. But this version is, by far, much better and funny. I'm Puerto Rican and, when I saw the episode of "Gizmoduck, his mother and "Patos de la Pasión", I just fell off my bed laughing like crazy. Furthermore, the family dynamic is superb. Two thumb ups.
Duck Tales 2017 (ALIVE!!!!!) I prefer it. The original was cute, the song catchy, had a nice feel but tons of American cartoons throughout the 80's and 90's had the same look. And I've been spoiled by anime to want more stronger feel in action and not be too much 5-year-old.
Had I been in charge of doing the new DT show promo material,I'd have included a marathon of the old series and premier TREASURES OF THE LOST LAMP and THEN premier the new series.

I still like hand drawn animation better than flash animation.
This isn't animated using Flash. No one's animated using Flash for years.
DuckTales
Then Vs Now
Now Wins!
shut up ducktales then vs now then wins
Totally adore the new DT series. Loved the original one as well, but humor, voice acting and artwork of the new show is perfect. It's so laugh out loud funny at times and the occasional movie reference drop is fun to catch. Tennant as Scrooge was a great choice and he really gives him superb humor and personality.
The ducktales are good ,but the original had stereotypes in it
+icecream hero but it does get boring .Around the 1990's .When I was a kid it would get boring since 2017 .I expect most people to try to be creative
+icecream hero icecreamhero I felt Fairyodd parents was ok and phineas and ferb were ok but were never my favorite shows
still better than reboot
You confuse "stereotype" with "common".
I liked the original but David tentant had me sold for this show. I really enjoying it. It even has a story.
I want a Talespin reboot so bad
Hey Frederator since DuckTales is now over do you think you can make a timeline of it
Question I've always had about Disney
Why don't they EVER release their shows onto DVD/Blu-Ray? I would love to own a lot of the Disney Shows that I grew up with, and even some of the new shows of today, and when they do, it's often times split into Volumes, and not an entire season.
I would love to own every season of shows like Lilo & Stitch, Kim Possible, House of Mouse, Gravity Falls, Aladdin, Jungle Cubs etc, why do they choose not to distribute these shows on DVD/Blu-Ray?
I'm not hating on Disney, it's just something I've always noticed, and not being able to own these shows, really bugs me
They do release their shows on DVD, but only Disney Junior shows like Sofia The First, Elena Of Avalor, and The Lion Guard.
Several of their shows are on DVD: Ducktales, Tail Spin, Chip and Dale-Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck are some of the ones I've seen.
you have to really look for them, i just bought Darkwing Duck at walmart not too long ago and also Tailspin , and a few years ago i manage to get Gummy Bears ;) good luck finding them.
eh, according to Wikipedia, DuckTales in incomplete.
Tennan is the best thing that can happen to anything.
I’m ready for season 4
Um season 3 is the finale season

Love you guys 😍💯🔥😘❤💯
Love you
Original DuckTales forever.
New DuckTales for the win. No contest.
I like the old one better then new one
Im such a big fan of you guys!
Thank you!
ChannelFrederator no problem. Thank you for getting back to me. It made my day!😀😀😀😀
Love it back, love it now. I only watch two episodes, but the pilot was captivating, a great opening. Turns out nostalgia can be remade well.
Fractions can be brutal 🤣
Oh wow, I loved thst Rocky and Bullwinkle live action movie.
I was born in 94 and I can remember watching ducktales, dark wing duck, new adventure of winnie the pooh, goof troop, and classic Mickey mouse cartoons and many others on disney channel.
YEESSSSS!!!!
Karl Julien NOOOOOO!
ÐαηΐεŁ328 DT Don't be hater, dude. I've been waiting so long for this!
I miss the old duck tails I personally like the older version better FYI I am 15 my parents had the hole collection so I grew up watching some of the old TV shows like tail spin, chip and dale rescue rangers, gummy bears, and a few others I personally think that the older shows are a hundred times better than the ones they show now
Thank you for having a brain. And an opinion that matters.
6:22 Whoa. That was an entire animation reference to Marahute's flight in The Rescuers Down Under. I haven't seen the reboot yet (yes, I know it's been out and over for a long time now), but if the show contains references like THAT... color me very intrigued.

ADVENTURE TIME IS THE BEST
duck tales, this is duck tales, this is duck tales,

I CANT BREATHEEEEEEEEEEEEE XD
I really the fact, that they tried to do a mix between the old Ducktales and the comics. And they did it really good. Scrooge is more like the Scrooge i have known for many decades from the comics. If you have never read to a comic by Don Rosa or Carl Barks, just do it!
Excellent
This is how you do a good reboot. Sure something change but they did it in a a good way. They add good new fresh and original ideas. They keep the balance of modern and old things in place. They even got good voice actors.
Don’t get me wrong I love the classic ducktales and their old voice actors but I think the new ones are great. I like how they give the triplets like different personalities. While Alan Young will always forever be Scrooge McDuck, I could say that David Tennant is the second best one for Scrooge.
Great Video man💯
Fun video! Insta-subbed and convinced me to check out the remake!
My dad says the original is better, yet he only saw 3 min of the new one
The older version is better because it has professional voice actors while newer version has amature voice actors.
Nobody:
Launchpad: I’m a pilot
Gyro Gearloose is the new Aqualad--the character NOT ONE PERSON ON THE ENTIRE PLANET CARED ABOUT until they changed him, and now everyone's* pooping themselves in phony concern/outrage.
*not actually everyone
In Quack Pack the triplets also had individual personalities.
WE DON'T TALK ABOUT QUACK PACK.
Fond Remembering!
I like Quack Pack, minus the human characters.
Quack Pack was brilliant. Funny, goofy, surreal and really well done and I loved the arrogant human TV presenter who got up Daisy's beak! Dunno why so much hate for Quack Pack it was great.
Jasmine Surreal what’s Quack Pack?
DuckTales woohoo
I remember when the classic DT aired on Sept 1987 of course right now just starting the second grade, I've always watch this cartoon series straight after coming home from school
Now with the new DT, I must say that I love this one also and there it's cool to say that I love both versions
Great vireo 👍
My dad was so happy when they announced the reboot
Ducktales viewer from the future here. Yes, there are nods to Darkwing Duck. Can't miss 'em.
I hope we get to see Ducktales on Netflix soon.
Unfortunately that won’t be the case as it’s on Disney+.
@@suburbantimewaster9620 That comment was made years ago. Back then Netflix was the big streaming service before Disney+ and HBO Max came along.
@@robbiefarabee6954 Yeah, but I thought I’d let you know anyway in case you didn’t have Disney+.
@@suburbantimewaster9620 I gotcha.
I enjoyed the first series better, but this one is heartfelt and geniuene. I can appreciate that.
New one can never be better than the original no matter! 🙃
naw, this new one is better imo
Seconded. The original is definitely much better.
Not really, original has flaws and is not canon to the comics
As someone who grew up with the original, I love the new one more. They get to draw other species than ducks and goofy like dog people now (looking at those two wolf guys and that bird that looks like kill bill and how the beagle boys look as opposed to just fat goofy people)
The manga is better
Johnny Cooper 64 Manga? It was Comics
r/woooosh
The original Disney cartoons were usually stereotypical.I mean everyone should know that
What's up my dood

Duck Tales 2017 (ALIVE!!!!!)
I prefer it. The original was cute, the song catchy, had a nice feel but tons of American cartoons throughout the 80's and 90's had the same look. And I've been spoiled by anime to want more stronger feel in action and not be too much 5-year-old.
I love the duck puns in this video
We love puns! They can be pretty quacky!
Had I been in charge of doing the new DT show promo material,I'd have included a marathon of the old series and premier TREASURES OF THE LOST LAMP and THEN premier the new series.
05:56 Man, where can I get a full-version of that GOT/Ducktales theme song? Haha
"Life is like a Hurricane here in Duckburg, Race Cars, lasers, Aeroplanes it's a Duck blur.Might solve a mystery or rewrite history..Duck Tales...Yee haw!"...Gawd,how I love to ruin things when people expect them, mawahahaha!!
I'd like to see another one of these later on when more has been introduced
I like the new Magica...very sinister...
