  • This week we take you in and around Arrecife, Capitol of Lanzarote. We stumbled across this awesome little local pub/restaurant in the Industrial area of Arrecife. Whilst sitting outside having scrumptious fresh fish, prepared to perfection, we overheard this awesome singing coming from within the pub. . . . Sweet almost opera like singing ;-). Well we just had to go inside to put faces to these voices. Two everyday kinda guys singing local songs. The one guy Alex (whom we became fast friends with together with his wife Sandra), happened to be the very guy that did the sikaflex work on Sisu in the boatyard. One thing lead to another, and it so happened that the Marketing Manager of Bodegas Los Bermejos (Wine cellar just outside Arrecife) was also in the pub and he landed up inviting all of us for a Wine Tasting the next day! One of the best wines we have ever had in the Canary Islands, a definite recommendation. And we caught Tuna at night in a restaurant in on of the bars and restaurants surrounding the sea inlet El Charco de San Gines. Servo, owner of Lemon Tusca is such a awesome dude, always doing his utmost to keep his customers happy. The boats bobbing gently on the water with the sun reflecting is quite magical, a photographers dream.

The whole Bermejo range was amazing! The white went very well with the fish we had. What I also loved were the actual bottles, the neck has a little spout (they based that on Olive Oil bottles . . . . ) So you can keep the empty bottle for future use, nice feature.
