Thanks Larah...Your lessons are extremely helpful. However the 100th percentile according to the formula gives i = 25 (whole #). So the percentile would be avg of (25th pos + 26th pos), where pos 26 does not exist.
I get 72 for the first quartile( dataset: "25 test grades"). So now I am to assume Q1 is no longer a "unique" value in some given dataset?? Also, if I were given the score 75 and I wanted to go back the other way to figure its "percentile" I would get 24th. Now how is this?
I am a 77 year-old retiree with bachelor's and master's degrees. I wish I had an instructor like you in college when I took statistics both on a undergraduate and graduate level.
how to find 100th percentile for this dataset Index : (100/100)*25 = 25 which is a whole number , as per your logic, I have to average 25th and 26th positions to get the answer, however in this dataset I don't have 26th data element.
Thank You! I havent had statistics since i was a kid and am going back to finish degree and this is great refresher for my stat class i have to take.
This instructor has a great way of communicating this subject material - she helped me so much at college.
and 6 years later she's helping me! Amen!
@@jaigross8033 and 3 years later she helped me.
Thank you very much.

100% would e the final number no calculation needed lol
Doing statistics as part of a management course in France... Thank you for clearing up the very foggy start I got in this subject.

There is no 100th percentile. Max is 99th. Trust this helps.
Balu - Nice question.. now i know that theres no 100 percentile..
that would be the 4th quartile, not a valid position because of what Balu said. An as a hint, it would be at the end of the high tail ;)
Mathematically impossible to find this. Someone in the 100th percentile would have to be better than 100% of the other students.
you are a great teacher!!! love your videos
excellent presentation
