I've always wanted to be involved for a long time but the volatility in the price has been very confusing to me. Although I have watched a lot of TH-cam videos about it but I still find it hard to understand.

Fr Mark - God Himself sent a powerful response to this blasphemous debacle. The next night after the opening, Paris was plunged into darkness by a massive power outage. The ONLY bright light shining was the Catholic basilica of the Sacred Heart!
Where there has been for 139 years today perpetual eucharistic adoration. 🙏

My brain is good my health considering my age I can still look after myself.BUT I must say I personally do not want to survive.....I detest this world we live in.. As my husband always says if we have food and the people around us don't and they come begging for food what do you do? Feed them, of course. So our little stock pile might not last very long. That's why we don't. God will take care of us. We don't fear. We went through Y2k when so many Christians stock piled out of fear....and look what happened. Nothing. Do nor fear, your heavenly Father knows how to take care of His sheep.
The three days of darkness cannot come soon enough. St Michael, pray for us. JMJ, I love you, save souls, protect our priests and religious. Amen
@DJ-vm2zi Better to spend hours in Adoration before Lord Jesus Christ in the Adoration Chapel, praying rosaries,chaplets of Divine Mercy and Precious Blood chaplets, than desiring the 3 days of darkness. For if you truly knew that experience, you would not desire to experience it. Spend time before our Eucharistic Lord while He still may be found, while churches are still open and while we have access to the Sacraments. Ask Jesus to protect you physically and spiritually. God will protect us. Pray for the salvation of every soul. Pray: Jesus, be Thou my Strength. Jesus, be Thou my Hope. Jesus, be Thou my Joy. Lord Jesus Christ, I trust in You. The ceremony had nothing to do with Christians, it was a reenactment of the Feast of Dionysus - a Greek God.

It was there, then It was taken down after the objections about the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. This was a mockery of the Last Supper. After that , they also portrayed the promiscuous dance festival of the Bacchanalia. Bacchus is the Roman name of Dionysius. Dionysius is the god of wine making ,fertility,festivity ,religious ecstasy and theater. That is paganism and the worshipping of false gods. So BOTH were done. Yes, these Olympic opening ceremonies were offensive and blasphemous, they had an agenda . This had nothing at all to do with the traditional openings of the Olympic Games. They purposefully mocked the one true God, Jesus Christ. The supposed , or so called , intention or of the Olympic Committee to be ALL INCLUSIVE CEREMONIES WAS NOT. It DID NOT INCLUDE CATHOLICS. IT WAS ANTI-CATHOLIC. IT WAS SHAMEFUL AND SINFUL.

I have 5 children so we are a family of 7. I say similar to others regarding food- store a little extra of what you normally eat and rotate as you go. Nothing is ‘stockpiled’ but we have extra should any shortages occur. It’s just common sense! I love your sensible attitude. Keep up the good work. God bless.

We are in the ends of time. Can remember when in catholic elementary years ago. The nuns told us the ends of time would come in the years of 2000. We see all the signs are near. All we can do is pray. I always had a premonition I would live to see this someday. Thanks for the food advice Father.

Funny, my grandmother was a mother with a young family during the Great Depression in Kansas . During my childhood, my grandparents stayed with us in Arizona all winter. I remember during their visits we ate rice almost daily especially for breakfast in hot milk, butter and sugar. My mom said they ate a lot of rice when she was a child especially during the Depression.
Father Mark, I truly love your positive, living Christian life that you are sharing. I have been preparing for the end since I knew there was an end. I have taught my children and many friends. I learned to always be prepared from my dear mother. She lived through the Great Depression and she knew about food shortages. I don't care what others think and I have been storing extra food for a while now. I also have blessed candles, holy water and salt. Water for cooking, drinking, etc. will be so important too! Dear Fr Mark - if you have some tinned sardines with the rice it’s a well balanced nutritious meal . In Goa it’s eaten as a penitential meal. We cook the rice with lots of water as a congee and it stretches even further and is easier to digest.

I have been trying to grow lettuce and some other vegetables, trying to see how to access water from my well, without electricity. Have a small generator handy for the pump OR better yet, have a second well drilled for a hand pump. I have a generator, but a second well is my plan.

That one cup measure should yield two cups of rice. Can’t eat it all in a week?
In the morning add warm/hot milk, cinnamon, and a little sugar.
In the evening fry it with any left over meat, veggies, a little soy sauce, and an egg.
Soon you’ll find many uses. Rice and beans? Burritos?

It’s not sinful to stock up and prepare for hard times. It makes one less of a burden when/if those times come. Look after yourself and family, share with others in need, trust in God’s abundance.
