Okay, just finished. I really like this one on the basis of their skillskits. 2 warriors but primarily known for their telepathy. The reason I went with Odion is because the helmet is hax but since we aren't considering the helm, I can see why you went with Tinn on this one. Greater refinement, dueling style is well suited for dealing with Odion, and can deal with telepathy. 5:06 Damn that's brutal. Also, sometimes I forget Odion even has cybernetics because of how nicely he cleaned up. But yeah, Odion is tougher due to cybernetics and armor. Do you think Odion has superhuman strength or stamina due to his cybernetics btw? As for the lightsaber round, Im split on this. Tiin can be surprised and blindsided which Odion is a master at and Odion has greater live experience. But then again, savage aggression plays into most Form 5 users game plan. Brace up against the assault and immediately counter. This method tends to fail if you cant endure the assault, but Tiin def can endure Odion. Awesome discussion of there developments as telepaths. This the big draw of this matchup and Im happy this if the final verdict. 40:51 Wow. Thanks for making me realize why this ability is probably the last thing you do. This ability is great against people who rely on cold and tactical outlooks on combat like Kenobi or Dooku but I don't think they would get affected by this ability. Btw, can we do Lord Odion vs Darth Vader or Anakin Skywalker? Because Odion would basically cause Anakin go into Sand mode. Overall, pretty good matchup and I loved seeing Odion featured on your channel! Edit: Thanks for the love again Jensarrai1!!!
@@robgeorge4581 Odion would cause Anakin / Vader to go into executioner mode. If using his abilities against Tiin is suicide, using them against The Chosen One is seppuku. Either as Vader or as Skywalker, Anakin would literally murder him.
Awesome video, I really enjoy your videos, espacially when you take comparatively obscure characters and set them up against one another. Really makes for very unique and fun to watch videos.
@@f.e.areproduce5298 Odion's broken psychology leaves him primed to fall to Chaos as soon as they notice him. Assuming he isn't outright possessed by a Chaos daemon, he would ultimately find his way into an officer or high command role in a Chaos Undivided warband, since his Force (or Psyker) abilities are at odds with Khorne's philosophy of physical might but his savagery is at odds with Tzeench's philosophy of subtlety and sorcery.
@@SoftisNelaris I guess but what if he was twisted by Slaneesh and let's say he was given a promise of him feeling pleasure from his overdeveloped sense abilities instead of suffering from it . But with a huge price .
@@f.e.areproduce5298 The issue is that Slaanesh dosen't deal in pleasure, but rather excess. Excessive pleasure is part of that, but based on Odion's presentation he's driven by the need to relieve himself of pain and in nowhere is it presented that he's interested in pleasure let alone excessive pleasure. His conduct closely aligns with a Khornate follower: Devolve the conflict into a bloodbath built on the back of physical might. However, his methodology of using his force abilities to induce this bloodbath is closely aligned with Tzeentch and is at odds with Khorne's anti-psyker policy. Along with some pretty loose philosophical correlations to Nurgle and Slaanesh, he'd likely end up aligned with Chaos Undivided as opposed to devoting himself to one god or another. Though it's worth taking my analysis with a grain of salt as I am assuming that Odion would have the opportunity to survive and develop a lasting career, as opposed to becoming a nameless nobody who dies before doing anything, or even dying before he reaches the logical conclusion of his career.
always great to see your work. Maul v.s. Ventress v.s. Starkiller. the mistreated apprentices. or something like that, cause their is a HISTORICAL thing of SIth having apprentices that are GREAT! but are misused/mistreated and mismanaged. that are great but had potential to be MORE but never really get there.
A pleasent surprise and a welcome one for the holiday season. Thank you Jensaarai for that. Hope in the future you and the rest Fanalysis council consider the following match-ups: Ferus Olin vs. Zayne Carrick Shaak Ti vs. Mara Jade Jaina Solo-Fel vs. Marasiah Fel Rahm Kota or Plo Koon vs. Even Piell Saba Sebatyne vs. Oppo Rancisis
Olin takes it relatively easily based on skill but Carrick's probability manipulation is hax. Mara wins after a decent fight. Jaina in a stomp. Kota vs Piell is a pretty good fight, not sure how to call that one. Koon would beat Piell without much trouble. Saba slaughters.
@@wristofkings I agree with everything you said especially Zayne vs Fetus. Zayne Carrick's supernatural luck/probability manipulation is pure hax. Ive considered doing Darth Bane vs Zayne Carrick just to show off just how hax his ability really is and an examination of how hax can make up for a massive mismatch.
I have been subscribed to you for quite some time. You taught me so much on the Lightsaber Forms and I have been absolutely amazed at your detail. Thank you, Jensaarai1. Your videos help me with my roleplaying skills on Star Wars: The Old Republic when I teach Juyo Form/Jar'kai to Jedi students in the form of Roleplay (no game mechanics). *I ask you if you could perhaps please do a VERSUS sequence between Valkorion (The Sith Emperor) vs Palpatine (Darth Sidious). This would be the ultimate versus episode I think you could do.*
How was Tiin caught off guard when he watched Sidious rise from his chair and pull out his lightsaber? He was not off guard, was actually in the process of attempting to attack, but Sidious was way too fast and managed to cut down Kolar and then Tiin before Tiin could even bring his lightsader down, such was the disparity in speed. Too many sources confirm Sidious advantage over the jedi. What you see in that sequence is a straight up speed blitz. This is what the scene was intended to portray based on the info Ian McDiarmid got from Lucas, which, by looking at the scene, seems so obvious. Two jedi attempting to strike Sidious but get blitzed way before they can bring down their saber, that is exactly what is shown for us. People just complain about the slow pace in which it was depicted for the audience, but what the scene was intended to portray should be obvious.
@Урош Раца try deflecting swarms of blaster fire you didn't expect or see coming until it was too late,Even great jedi were lost during the purge lol,Not exactly a damn thing you can do in that situation
My only nitpick would be to try not to telegraph who you think would win so early on. There was something about your script and how you were describing Tiin compared to Odion early on in the video (but after the exposition part) that give away who you thought would win.
I'm not familiar enough on Odion to give a properly educated opinion, but considering what I DO know about each character, and given the evidence and arguments Jen provided, yes, I agree with the verdict. The video also helped bump Tiin a little in my mind, and I've always liked the character, so that's a little bonus there.
Tiin’s Form 5 mastery has been confirmed actually. It was confirmed in his Star Wars Databank entry. He is a Djem So master. “The choreography for the Showdown on Coruscant was an AbSoLuTe MeSs”… Kid. Sidious SPEED BLITZED them and caught them completely off guard to begin with, they weren’t even expecting him to just break out with it that instantly like that. And his force scream was MEANT to stun them and shunt Tiin’s telepathic reading on him. He turned it back against him so he was just standing there like an idiot, and got cut down. It was not “an absolute mess” , it was Sidious’s power and his blinding speed being showcased.
It’s honestly hard to tell in the scene cause of the pacing, it’d be one thing if Sidious had a similar kind of speed blitz effect like you see in the phantom menace but given what was seen in the movie and the editing for it, it sadly does look like they just stood there and simply got killed.
@@MusicFan752 he caught them all off-guard. Windu is the only one that got his saber up and readied. It doesn’t matter what it “looked like” at all. It is SUPPOSED to look like they Just stood there BECAUSE they got speed blitzed. That’s the point. It’s emphasis. Ian mcdiramid is a 70-something year old man he can’t just actually speed blitz anything. And if they COULD, you quite literally wouldn’t even SEE it as the audience. That’s the point. Emphasis…. Not to mention his force scream was ALSO supposed to faze them and catch them off guard, which it did.
Do you have a schedule for posting? Could you tell us what's up with Evannova95, Antoine Bandele and other council members? Why aren't they posting? Are you still in contact with them?
I think Evan is working on stuff, but Antoine said a while ago he’s moving into writing in general. I think he published his first book on Amazon earlier this year and he’s working on another one now.
No, he doesn't have a schedule. Jensaari has a life outside making videos, just like the rest of the Fanalysis crew. You're the same person who arrogantly asked him if he doesn't have a time-consuming job. These guys don't spend 24/7 making videos, FYI. If they did, the videos wouldn't come out as well as they could due to having to rush to put out content in that situation. As for contact with his friends, don't you watch Fanalysis? They collab once a week or every other week at least, so to ask Jensaari if he's still in contact with them despite everyone knowing about that group channel and how often they post to it is stupid and ridiculous.
The Telepathic Juggernauts. Makes me wish there was some more recognition for Depa Billaba as well, even including her return in Disney canon in the Kanan comics (one of the few decent pieces of media they released btw).
Talking about telepaths I think a vs between Yarael Poof and Darth Andeddu might be interesting. Personally I think it is pretty clear that Andeddu is powerful enough to win a direct confrontation, but Yarael Poof is possibly the greatest telepath of his time so if Andeddu initiates a battle of the minds, like he did against Wryylock III, I could see him win, so it depends on what is more likely to happen.
I didn't even see this in my notifications section on the homepage! I'm very late to comment here! Saesee Tiin used Djem So. It says so on Wookieepedia. Even EvanNova stated that his chosen form was Form V. The Djem So variant that is. You might have some of the material that he doesn't, given that you've mentioned how Tiin was capable of Tutaminis, as well as the fact that Sidious was using a dark side haze. An interesting matchup though.
Great video man, Lord Odion is a great but little known character. Would you consider doing Kaox Krul vs Darth Sion, another Sith Lord that doesn’t get a lot of attention.
Dark Sion can't die. Evannora95 stated that's the reason why he'll never be included in a versus series short. He willingly gave up his life by letting go of the dark side.
Darth Sion is a perfectly usable character in the versus series. He may be functionally immortal barring being severed from the force but he can be decisively disabled and defeated.
Lord Odion vs Lucien Draay. Kit Fisto vs Lord Vindican. Darth Malak vs Starkiller( clone.) Eeth Koth vs Agen Kolar. General Grevious vs Darth Malgus. Darth Plaguies vs Darth Maul ( no force abilities beyond physical enhancement. Plaguies is a force god compared to Mail but take the force out of the equation and it’s actually a fun match. Plaguies is a superhumanly strong opponent with a diverse combative tool Kit, but Maul is able to face opponents bigger and stronger regularly and is a master of hand to hand combat and debatably a better lightsaber duelist. What makes it especially interesting is their tactical sensibilities: Maul uses total situational awareness to herd an opponent and use the environment while Plaguies plans in the long term and disconnects Himself from the fight to better strategize.)
Do Darth Wyyrlok III vs Darth Maul. And/or Ulic-Quel Droma vs Mace Windu, up until ROTS. Please make one of them, if not both happen please, thank you.
Wyyrlok anyday. His force abilities are in the bottom end of tier 1, Maul is like tier 3-2.5. Lightning, tk, Sith Sorcery ftw. Mace Windu. More skilled swordsman, > force power, shatterpoint, and more proactive force wielder.
um... so I saw some stuff that people suggested that the versus series are a bit in a low point and that makes me SAD NEED MORE. so suggestions! also THANK you for binging to my attention Lord Odion. I bet Darth Wred could beat him dang it! oh that would be interesting how those two mesh. a willing suicidal once I kill all sith and a nihilist kill everyone person. anyway suggestions! Skywalker clustermuck? like remove Luke and Anakin and have a big ol mess of which skywlaker win, Cade, Ben, Jacen, Jania and the like. or hell id suggest a bit post mrotum analysis to put people into your rough hireachy and then do a randomized tournament for it, if your a bit worried that to many of the already done fights are done, a tournament could REALLY help you out cause a person that lost in the first round could have beaten someone in the next round, but the person who beat them cant beat the next person. it add a bit of the uncertainty needed that lacks a bit when we seen some characters and who they fight a bit to much. and also champion of the tier 4, tier 3 and the likes would be a bunch of fun! maby a fanalysis/ council force cast group thing to do, not a super in detail but a fun one where you all debate it or something. or oh! WE NEED A BOUNTY HUNTER BATTLE ROYAL. I mean probably Durge is the best but still! need some hierarchy amongst the bounty hunters! Durge, Cad Bane, Jango, boba, Aura Sing, Embo, Bossk. tere are MANY here that need some fights against another!
Yikees thats a good one. Do you think that there is enough material to make a vs video för of the swtor force user classes? Darth nox/imperius/occulus and the empires wrath deserve one but very much is player determined so its hard for me to decide what their feats are worth. Otherwise I would be very interested in a shaak ti vs malgus or a Revan vs Vader.
hello jensaarai. i wanted to try and contact you directly but could not seem to find a way to do so besides here, so here it goes. first of all it was your work that actually made me into a fan of star wars versus videos and slowly got me introduced to the rest of the council so thank you. second i actually been having an idea for a versus video thats been kicking in my head for about a week but i feel i wouldnt be able to do and thought you might enjoy atleast mulling it over. the fight being lucien draay vs kit fisto (currently titled the masters of simplicity). while most of my knowledge comes from the various versus episodes featuring both characters i find the fight to be interesting in how closely there skills stack up to each other (atleast in my opinion).
@@Jensaarai1 AWESOME! I'm thrilled, especially due to the fact of the collaboration being with GreyJedi. I'll keep my eyes open for that video, thanks for the reply!
Might I make a suggestion? Not being mean hearted here but I don’t feel like armor should be part of physical capabilities. As it is something that is added maybe it should be combined with the section where you talk about their lightsaber, or their fighting style because the choice and style of armor will be based on that. Just my thoughts. Good video though.
To people who are saying Saesee Tin is week because he died from one hit from Palatine. He actually isn't his force powers are enough to be a Jedi master and you do realize palpatine was the strongest sith currently that's why he died so early.
Probably Odion, Draay sounds like he'd be really susceptible to his mental influence and his methods are already very direct to start with. It could backfire though considering Draay's skill level is at least comparable.
@@wristofkings also take into account that one was essentially a Force-powered serial killer whereas the other is one whom trained for years to fight said former
Interesting matchup, great video. By the way, have you seen the "Vader, Shards of the Past" fanfilm? Sheev may look weird but his dialogue is increadible
Marek wins on the basis of Force powers but the lightsaber duel would be close. Draay vs Draco could go either way. Probably Fisto. Jinn has greater experience as a duelist but Kit is younger, fitter and faster.
Azard is fully fledged Sith Lord able to fight with master level combatants like Tries Sinde and Wolf Sazen. Add to this that he is a Vader fanboy we can assume that he combined Djem-So and Niman. Also most likely stronger lightning. Vos is primarly Ataru/shien with knowledge in Makashi and Vaapad but he is not using them on a master level. In termd of tge force abilities he can only uses TK against Azard.
Cade skywalker vs galen marek, but on the topic of galen marek o feel like your past breakdowns of his character are very honest, unbiased with strong arguments but i feel that you read just alittle to much in to the games. Nore specifically his force barrier and inability to break force barriers of low ranked force adepts, i see his in game performance to be much like kratos from god of war, your not given his full power because if you were you'd simply face roll the entire game. And on the topic of his tutimenis, i feel like its underated. I bileve his inability to completly contain and stop sidius lightning is more do to the sith lords power instead of any lack of power or skill on galens part, and in that scene we see everyone in the room was blown back and pretty messed up, galen was only killed cus his force barrier was the weakest in the room, now not as weak as potrayed in game but i will concede that it is relatively weak compared to other force users on his level.
Savage Opress vs K’Kruhk( I really like this one since it’s so even. K’KRUHK is a capable duelist and force user, but his greatest asset is his physical ability, like Savage. However Opress may have more raw potential, K’Kruhk has superior training and experience and can match Savage strength physically. This is in my opinion very similar to Anakin vs Obi Wan, as like Skywalker Opress has more raw power in the force and natural skill in lightsaber combat, we’re K’Kruhk has decades more training and experience, more emotionally balanced and more tactical in the use of his abilities.) And yes I know you hate Savage but it could be fun.
Galen Marek vs Sora Bulq. Marek has more raw force power, Bulq has greater technical skill with a lightsaber, and they both have nigh superhuman endurance. They both have balanced skill sets and are trained in all styles of lightsaber combat ( though Marek only had basic training in all were Bulq was literally a master of all) and they both have weak force walls. And on the story side, they’re almost polar opposites with Marek going from the dark to light and Bulq going from the light to the dark. Marek is a calm and calculating duelist who uses creative uses of a basic skills with great power were Bulq gives into rage and blood lust and uses a blunt use of multiple skills.
I remember you saying Darth Vader and Qui-Gon Jinn were your favorite characters and I’ve always wanted to ask, what is your opinion of the 2015 Darth Vader comic? I personally feel it’s one of the best I’ve ever read, but I know you and canon don’t always gel. It’s something I’ve always been curious about. The force Unleashed ( one) is my all time favorite Star Wars story, but my second is Star Wars republic, third Star Wars legacy, fourth is the Darth Bane trilogy, and fifth is the phantom menace. ( I get a lot of hate for that one, but I think it’s better than people say. It introduces two of my favorite characters Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn, has amazing fight scenes, has swan mcgregor as Obi Wan, and has the least wooden dialogue of the prequels. Jar jar is the only true ly awful part of the movie, but he’s only ever annoyed me, I don’t hate him as much as everyone else does. He’s like that weird cousin who always hugs you and pretends your best friends even though they only see you once a year.)
Mah only critique... My only one. Dude we gotta hear new phrases for 'red lightsaber.' I swear to god if you say 'blood shine blade' for another year straight ima blow a gasket. Common, we got so many words for red.
It really doesn't help that the overwhelming majority of featured characters are in that top 1%, because simply being aware that they are just a handful of individuals within organizations comprising thousands of members really fails to illustrate just how rare and prodigious their skills truly are.
I still say you are one of the most underrated TH-camrs out there.

Really makes for very unique and fun to watch videos.
so Lord Odion wouldn't be out of place within Warhammer 40,000 due to his nature. For in Warhammer 40,000, it is nothing but war.
That's so true! Also how he sacrifices most of his troops is very 40.000-like
Honestly i don't know if he would truly embrace chaos , like maybe after having his character twisted then .
By far one of your most interesting and best matchups.
always great to see your work.
Maul v.s. Ventress v.s. Starkiller. the mistreated apprentices.
or something like that, cause their is a HISTORICAL thing of SIth having apprentices that are GREAT! but are misused/mistreated and mismanaged. that are great but had potential to be MORE but never really get there.
In order:
Physical:Maul>Ventress>Galen
Martial: Maul=Galen>Ventress
Force: Galen>Maul>Ventress
Lightsaber:Ventress>Maul>Galen
Victory: Maul>Galen>Ventress
The comparisons of their philosophies are fascinating.
A pleasent surprise and a welcome one for the holiday season. Thank you Jensaarai for that. Hope in the future you and the rest Fanalysis council consider the following match-ups:
Ferus Olin vs. Zayne Carrick
Shaak Ti vs. Mara Jade
Jaina Solo-Fel vs. Marasiah Fel
Rahm Kota or Plo Koon vs. Even Piell
Saba Sebatyne vs.
@@wristofkings
I agree with everything you said especially Zayne vs Fetus.
Zayne Carrick's supernatural luck/probability manipulation is pure hax. Ive considered doing Darth Bane vs Zayne Carrick just to show off just how hax his ability really is and an examination of how hax can make up for a massive mismatch.
Battle of the Telepaths! Great Work! Thanks for keeping the interesting macht ups coming 😀
I just woke up and I was very happy to find this beautiful Christmas present in my notifications! Thanks a lot!
I am so happy you got your channel back man, no-one else discusses starwars like you.
Brilliant video as always, merry Christmas!!
Sith seem to end up with cybernetics a lot. It’s a wonder Palpatine didn’t.
He hated cybernetics
Well tros...
@@TrajGreekFire don't mention that travesty ever again
What better Christmas present is there than a versus video by Jensaarai1?
My only nitpick would be to try not to telegraph who you think would win so early on. There was something about your script and how you were describing Tiin compared to Odion early on in the video (but after the exposition part) that give away who you thought would win.
I'm not familiar enough on Odion to give a properly educated opinion, but considering what I DO know about each character, and given the evidence and arguments Jen provided, yes, I agree with the verdict. The video also helped bump Tiin a little in my mind, and I've always liked the character, so that's a little bonus there.
Christmas came early...Yay
Tiin’s Form 5 mastery has been confirmed actually. It was confirmed in his Star Wars Databank entry. He is a Djem So master.
“The choreography for the Showdown on Coruscant was an AbSoLuTe MeSs”…
Kid.
Who else imagines B1 battle droids as bantering or screaming in their high-pitched voices when they’re killed by a Jedi in these videos?
Goddamn, your reading voice is perfect.

Do you have a schedule for posting? Could you tell us what's up with Evannova95, Antoine Bandele and other council members? Why aren't they posting? Are you still in contact with them?
The always do collabs on the "Fanalysis" Channel
@@CompositeCreativity ok ok fine nice of you to notice I was the guy that asked him if he had a time consuming job, very good memory you got there sir
Tholme vs K’Kruk would be a fun strikezone match

The timing of this is funny because I'm currently reading Knight Errant.

Are there any other “background” characters you plan to cover in the clone wars?
I didn't even see this in my notifications section on the homepage! I'm very late to comment here! Saesee Tiin used Djem So. It says so on Wookieepedia. Even EvanNova stated that his chosen form was Form V. The Djem So variant that is. You might have some of the material that he doesn't, given that you've mentioned how Tiin was capable of Tutaminis, as well as the fact that Sidious was using a dark side haze. An interesting matchup though.
I want a tier list for the Jedi Council.
That would be fantastic
@@baki484 obviously Yoda, Mace, Obiwan and Anakin are at the top but the others would be tricky
Honestly I just want to see Kaox Krul in a versus match.
Kaox Krul vs Darth Stryfe perhaps
Darth Sion is a perfectly usable character in the versus series. He may be functionally immortal barring being severed from the force but he can be decisively disabled and defeated.
Renegade Junior even if it’s not a kill it can still be a win. And soon can definitely be disabled or stopped momentarily.
Odion: "Gumybears!"
also could you do Qui-Gon Jinn vs Ki Adi Mundi?
Qui-Gon would win ;)
This brings up the argument of “mastering 1 style vs proficiency in multiple”
Good job on the video man 👍🏻
Lord Odion vs Lucien Draay.
Regarding match one I'd back Wyyrlok.
Wyrrlock is at most 1.5 while Maul at most 2.5
@GENERALKENOBI2 What about Darth Vader vs Count Dooku? Who do you think would win?
Wyyrlok anyday. His force abilities are in the bottom end of tier 1, Maul is like tier 3-2.5. Lightning, tk, Sith Sorcery ftw.
Mace Windu. More skilled swordsman, > force power, shatterpoint, and more proactive force wielder.

This is in my opinion very similar to Anakin vs Obi Wan, as like Skywalker Opress has more raw power in the force and natural skill in lightsaber combat, we’re K’Kruhk has decades more training and experience, more emotionally balanced and more tactical in the use of his abilities.) And yes I know you hate Savage but it could be fun.

do warb null vs darth krayt
Krayt would win without question.
🤩🤩🤩🤩 i feel so fulfilled.
Every time I hear a Jedi described as "one of the greatest swordsmen of our time", it makes that description seem a little less impressive every time.
It really doesn't help that the overwhelming majority of featured characters are in that top 1%, because simply being aware that they are just a handful of individuals within organizations comprising thousands of members really fails to illustrate just how rare and prodigious their skills truly are.
