I would have been worried about the cars computers failing to control the gas engine and electric motors correctly but Toyota seems to have that technology nailed. We've had two Prius cars with a combined total of over 200000 miles, over 9 years, without a single failure. I mean not even a loose screw. Neither car has ever been into a shop for repairs.
I purchased Prius in 2010 and still runs like a brand new. Close to 100000 miles and no failures whatsoever. Had booked Tesla model 3 but going to cancel it and buy another Prius. Extremely happy with it.

Great Video! You can increase the reliabilty and lifespan of almost any vehicle by taking care of it and following the manufacturers recommended maintenance schedule. I use software on my laptop called Automotive Wolf car maintenance software that tracks and manages the schedules for all my vehicles and sends me text reminders when anything needs to be serviced. I currently have 3 cars from different manufacturers all with over 200,000 miles and running great.

today is april 28,2017 I have a opportunity to purchase a 2007 prius with 67K Miles for $7K. The car is beautiful inside out and grandma driven. My worries are the battery( worth have the cost of the vehicle and the car has no Bluetooth. ) Thought and comments are appreciated.
probably need the 12v aux battery, like most cars this is good for 5 years. the hybrid pack is good for way more than 67K. Might need exercising otherwise pretty good deal.

If you're going downhill and the battery is fully charged the engine will start to spin the Synergy drive to keep the generator from overcharging the battery. You may hear the engine running at high RPM in this condition. It is an intentional design and a function of the Synergy drive.

Same here, I have two 2014's in my fleet, the President and CFO drive them and both get up to 52 mpg, and we have had no trouble at all with them!

Yes. The ac runs even when parked or at a light. By electric.
The AC can also be powered by a solar roof panel. My Prius has such a panel.
The ac compressor is usually electric powered and is not turned by the engine pulley system.
