Taking into consideration this is your first video, you did wonderful with verbal & visual instructions. I have been a seamstress over 40 years & avid needlework artist over 30 years, therefore I have viewed many videos & yours was quite honest and enjoyable. Keep at it, you have a great future ahead.
3/23/2023: BEAUTIFUL BOOKMAKER and EXCELLENT TUTORIAL.👍🏾🏆 Aloha from Hawaii🌺💚 Would luv to see you do one from the very beginning ( when even picking out the aida and picture you will cross stitch ).
I just loved how detailed you were in this tutorial. I found you through FB. Someone asked for recommendations on how to finish bookmarks and someone else replied with a link to your video. Sooo grateful that they did. I love how you are such a perfectionist and double check all your work. Those little reminders are the best as I myself have had to redo projects for not double checking. Your bookmark looks beautiful!!! Thank you!!!
There's probably a case for fraystop around the edge before the final trim. I'm a leatherworker and we use edge finishers to put a good edge over the layers of the original skin.
I was looking for a simple yet elegant way to finish a bookmark. Your video was very clear and easy to follow. I hope you continue to produce more videos as you are able. Thank you as well for the reminder that it doesn't have to be perfect. I struggle with this a lot.
Thank you this. Exactly what I needed when I needed it. Just downloaded my first bookmark chart and needed a way to finish, this fits the bill perfectly
Thank you for this very clear tutorial! This is a long shot since this video is a year old but I was hoping you’d have those no-sew tutorials. Is there any possibility they’ll still be posted? Thanks.
Hi Jenn, I never forgot that you request this so as soon as I'm done designing the winter one, I'm going to do that tutorial by hand so you can see how I do it!
Great clear instructions. I don't usually comment on videos but you requested feed back... did fast forward some bits to get to the actual instructions but otherwise awesome 😊. Now to look at your other patterns..............
Thanks so much for this Lorraine! We are just getting back into the swing of things over here so are very gracious for your comment and your subscription!
I would love it if people would provide feedback as to why they are disliking the video. This would help improve things in the future but I can't improve what I am not aware of! Thanks in advance!
Chelsea I really appreciate this video. The only thing I noticed is that you seem nervous a bit. Perhaps a bit more confidence in yourself! Just a thought. I enjoyed this video very much the bookmark is beautiful. Also a specific link to which cross stitch pattern used would be awesome 😎
I clicked on this video because I thought it might show how to seam an edge on a bookmark. Disappointed to see all you've done is stick a bit of fabric with a raw edge down. Nothing to see here.
I noticed on my iPhone that there is no thumbs up available, only a thumbs down. Perhaps people clicked the thumbs down by mistake. There maybe a way to change that on your video. I really liked this video!
@@felicityfarnsworth8307. You could cut the fabric piece a bit bigger then turn the raw edges in and then press it over the heat ‘n bond. That will hide the raw edges. Maybe Chelsea will describe another way before her next video. Just trying to help!😊
Hi Wilma, I have an idea for this that I will incorporate into my next bookmark finishing tutorial. The basic idea though would be to whip stitch along the entire edge using DMC pearl cotton #5!
Thanks Sandie! The pattern is my design, the first of four for each of the seasons. If you are interested you can find it here: www.chelseabuns.ca/cross-stitch-charts
Thanks for asking! We are just re-introducing our website and there are only a few there right now. If you're interested in the Autumn bookmark chart you can find it here: www.chelseabuns.ca/product-page/fall-bookmark-pdf-chart-autumn-feels-for-fall
I really appreciate this feedback. It honestly means the world to me. I am finally back at it and designing again but words of encouragement like this are very, very helpful and encouraging! Thank you!
Done is better than perfect. That's a good maxim for those of us who let fear stop us from making progress in our hobbies and projects.
I completely understand! I'm super glad that you found this helpful!
Just started viewing book mark crossstithing & this was the best of the 30 plus videos I have watched. Thank you. I feel braver now to continue.

Thank you for your excellent video, your a great tutor.
This bookmark is beautiful! I’m wondering if you notice any fraying on the edges with use?
I would love it if people would provide feedback as to why they are disliking the video. This would help improve things in the future but I can't improve what I am not aware of! Thanks in advance!
Their screens must have been upside down and they thought they were giving a thumbs up. Or they're just jerks. Great video!

Can we use another piece of Aida fabric for the back of the book mark
Fantástic!!! I bought This pattern i would like to see The rest of The seasons bookmarks! One day😜🥰😘😘
I am working on them as we speak!
Please show how to make a corner bookmark with cross stitch on it.
Thankyou
I will put this on my to do pile and maybe make a couple of freebie corner bookmark charts to go with the tutorial!
Should the iron be on low, medium, or high heat?
Wonderful tutorial. How can I finish the edge without a sewing machine? What hand stitch do you recommend?
Hi Wilma, I have an idea for this that I will incorporate into my next bookmark finishing tutorial. The basic idea though would be to whip stitch along the entire edge using DMC pearl cotton #5!
Who is the pattern by I luv it :) good job
Thanks Sandie! The pattern is my design, the first of four for each of the seasons. If you are interested you can find it here: www.chelseabuns.ca/cross-stitch-charts
I would use felt as a backing instead of fabric, whip stitch the edges of the cross stitch and stick them together. No sewing lines to be seen.
I NEED THE PATTERN! May have to stitch on 7 or 10 CT with Perle cotton... Bellpull!
Thanks for the comment Jennifer! You can find it here: www.chelseabuns.ca/cross-stitch-charts
How does one get one of your patterns?
Thanks for asking! We are just re-introducing our website and there are only a few there right now. If you're interested in the Autumn bookmark chart you can find it here: www.chelseabuns.ca/product-page/fall-bookmark-pdf-chart-autumn-feels-for-fall
you need to expand your pattern collection.
