Hi Arianna! This video popped up again! Maybe because I have been watching Olympus videos, I bought an EM1 III recently and I can’t put it down! I traded my fuji xt3 for it and I am so happy with it! I hope you are doing well!
ah enjoy! I remember the feeling of sending in my first film roll which also happened to be my first OM-10 roll as well. I hope they come back better than you expected!
I’m a little jealous that you have a T2. One purchase I did last year was the X-E4. I very much like it. I’m 6’3” and I’m constantly bending down to get the proper angle but with the pop out lcd screen I no longer have bend down. It’s just a fun camera.
Amazing video as always! So many great options you have! My fave is the Fuji 35f2, just so quick to focus, discreet and weather sealed! I recently picked up an older Canon EF 28mm f1.8 and adapted it to my Canon EOS RP. Optically it’s less than perfect, wide open it’s got soft close focus, color fringing and soft corners, but the focal length has become so addictive. It’s a little disorienting at first because of how wide it is, but I find myself grabbing it so often that I am dying now to try the Fuji 18f2 or new 18f1.4! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your photographic journey! Keep them coming!
Been very interesting following your journey on youtube and how similar our gear is. For Digital I have an Olympus OM-D E-M10 mk11 on which I use Zuiko 17mm/1.8 and 45mm/1.8 and occasionally borrow the Pro Zooms when needed. I started off doing more wide angle, but have grown (because of my fuji gear) to shoot with the longer much more in recent months. I also got into Fuji last year as well with a Fuji XE2s as I was chasing the film look on digital. On this one, I use adapted vintage lens with a few Takumars (55/1.8, 55/2, 28/3.5) and a Helios 44/2. Hoping to get a Fuji 35/2 in the future when budget allows so that I can enjoy autofocus. For film, initially bought one as a decoration, but then tried a roll and after which I fell into the rabbit hole. I would shoot a lot more often, but it isn't the cheapest or easiest (hence my foray into Fuji). I've now collected a number of SLR's (including Oly OM-1 and OM-2), a couple of rangefinders, and a TLR (love the photos and lots of fun, but very expensive to shoot). There is just something special operating an old film camera (especially a mechanical one) that is often older than me and is so rewarding when you nail a photo on film!
I totally get buying the film camera for decoration as I'd 100% do the same but so glad you decided to try a roll! Great collection you've got, more vintage lenses than I do for your Fuji kit but hopefully you can get the 35/2 soon as I love having it in my collection. Great minds think alike, lots of parallels for sure!
Just sold my D500 and lenses (still feeling some regret, quite honestly) as I’m no longer working in sports photography. And got the X-Pro 2 with the 23 f/2, 35 f/1.4, and 50. It’s great. But been feeling silly about not getting a Z Series. This was encouraging. Thanks!
I got my first camera 2 weeks ago, which is the Fuji X-T4 with the 90mm f/2 lens. Only having one prime lens is a bit restricting but it's fun. I am buying Raynox DCR 250 to use it with the 90mm to shoot macros close to 1:1. I was between the extension tubes and this one however it's quite a cheap lens so I went with it ^^
I'm a firm believer that shooting with prime lenses (especially if it's only one) really pushes you to grow. That being said, it can sometimes be frustrating if you can't get the shot you want! Enjoy the 90mm for macros!
I wonder if the new OM 20mm F1.4 on your Olympus EM1.2 would work with your style of shooting. I also have that same camera and thinking about the new 20mm.
It's my most versatile one by far. 35 is a great way to start your kit and you can really figure out from there what you want to add next (if any at all!)
Happy New Year... looks like you got all areas covered now going into 2022, awesome. I love that you are enjoying the X-Pro 2/XF35mm setup, such a solid perfomer. This video also validates my latest decision; As you know I'm a Fuji fan but 2022 has me looking really hard internally at the reality and stance of my photography situation. Now I am set on all my Film gear (Nikon F SLRs and Hasselblad 6x6 systems)... BUT, digitally, well I've become a damn complicated mess! I have accumulated way too much and it's effecting my desire to just go out and shoot because of me choosing between three different digital systems every time. Since I don't print large or work professionally anymore, it is time I (digitally) clean house and consolidate to [yes] a 16Mp Nikon DSLR (Nikon Df - yet to be purchased) with the Z5 mirrorless I got last year to adapt F lenses to, strictly for the IBIS and 24Mps... So I am selling off all my Fujis, Sonys and other stuff to afford the Df and a couple F prime lenses I have been eyeing and service old ones I have. [I "may" keep the X100T - OR - the XP2, don't know yet] I basically want/need to get my collection down to the comfortable size of yours, which is perfect where you have just enough to stay inspired and not a whole lot to where it becomes over bearing. Finding in the past that minimal gear keeps you inspired to create with what you got, where too much gear turns that into being all about the gear and not actually creating. Having the same system for digital and 35mm film will be the key I think. Keep it simple, effective and useful is the lesson here.
yes this is such invaluable advice! everybody's ideal collection will be different but being able to find the balance between keeping you inspired and having variety is tough but doable...and constantly changing!
@@Arianna-zx1ro I totally agree. Today more than before we have sooo many choices and ways to market cameras where the GAS becomes a real issue suddenly. I fell into that trap little over ten years ago where before I did VERY well with two out dated DSLRs and one 35mm and one MF film camera. Then things got out of hand where I thought I had to keep up with the market and the more I acquired, the less I felt like shooting. That balance is so fragile and I advise Anyone getting into photography as well as seasoned shooters is to Don't fall for the hype, Keep it simple and know what you want to shoot.

Just got the olympus om-10 and sent in my first roll! New to film photog and really enjoyed your om-10 review!

Even though I'm 5'0 i actually loved having the same-style flip out screen on the Olympus OMD EM10 for the same reason!
Enjoyed this video, love Fuji gear personally!!
Thank you! And same here! :)

ooh fun! i've heard lots of great things about the 18f2/1.4 as well!
I recently rediscovered the 18-55 kit lens at 18mm... its my go to 18mm lens because of the IS
@@mathieucithi 18-55 is such an amazing lens!

Also, the most fun film camera to bring around: Olympus XA series. Highly recommend!

good idea! I usually use my Fuji when shooting wider, everyday scenes but i imagine the 20mm f1.4 would also come in handy on shoots.
I'm really thinking of getting an XPro camera. I'm debating the focal length. 35 sounds like a good one to me as well.

Sadly no more updates.
T2????😂
